Tony's Pizza has had a pretty good reputation over the years for delicious pizza despite being a bit on the the pricey side. I used to frequent this location and the old one on California a lot 13 years ago and never had a problem. The last few times we have come to this location (and I'm talking about 1 visit a year for past three years), the pizza is extremely undercooked (we used to order the Hawaiian and it's got tons of toppings and crust looks done but the center would be doughy). So last night we decided to go for a little birthday dinner for our pizza lover, and so she could enjoy playing games. We ordered a medium pepperoni for kids and a large chile verde for us; two sodas for adults and water cups for kids... the water cups are literal shot glass size, so make sure you bring your kids waters if they don't drink sodas. I understand why, since a lot of people take advantage of self serve sodas but if was comical! We ended up paying however much for a "small" soda cup so we could have cups we could put a lid on. Back to the pizza, so we got our pizzas and they look delicious but then when we lifted a piece it was so heavy that everything started to fall and the pizza was doughy. I typically don't mind a little doughy texture but even for me this was hard to eat. I ended up trying one of the kids pepperoni slices, thinking since it had less toppings it might be fine but it too was very doughy. Like I said, the pizza when it comes out looks to be done based off the crust but it might be they need to preheat the pizza tray before they put the pizza in to bake because the center isn't getting cooked throughly (and hasn't been for awhile?) This is a nice place for large group get togethers, we have a few summer birthday parties here over the years. Kids usually enjoy the arcade games but Just would prefer our $30 pizzas to be cooked all the way. read more

Every pizza is better fresh, but this is delicious! We had the meat livers and Hawaiian minus the bell peppers. Tony's is our go to parlor whenever we are needing our pizza fix! It may sound a little weird, but our go to pizza is a mexicana with pineapple and Canadian bacon - tastes just like pastor tacos! This recent visit was one worth writing about. We had placed an online order and when I get to the restaurant, the young lady who always tends the register couldn't seem to find my order. After only a couple of minutes of waiting, Allen (who I presume is the restaurant manager) asks me if I've been helped, to which I reply I wasn't sure since I was asked for my name, but then hadn't heard much else. He went to check and came back to inform me that some miscommunication had happened and my pizza hadn't been made. He mentions that it is being made as we spoke and would be upsizing the pizza to a large for the inconvenience along with a cup for me to get a drink while I waited for my order! I have to say this is exceptionally great customer service. I understand hiccups happen, especially in the food industry, but to put out a fire (no pun intended - for as we all know Tony's pizza is fire dept themed ;) before there's any smoke is incredible service. read more

Sometimes when restaurants say "Franchise Opportunities Available" that doesn't mean you should always take them up on their offer. This is one of the worst pizza places I've ever been to. We ordered a Chili Verde Pizza for $35.50 and the Salad Bar for $7.50 with a Medium drink for $2.99, and finally a side of ranch for 75¢ totaling over $50. They made us go to the counter to pick up our own pizza, the Chili Verde was cheap (you can tell it came from a can) and was pale in comparison to their location in Porterville. The Salad was nice, but paying nearly $8 for a salad and being limited to serve yourself ONE TIME is absolutely ridiculous. The owner is inconsiderate and was spending more time talking to his friend that came in than even taking our order. For your money, you're better off driving down to the Porterville location. 0/5, maybe they should spend more money on staffing and food quality than the Firefighter-themed regalia. read more

Brought quarters so my daughter could play the games only to find they only do game cards that you have to load. That's fine, but I tried to load the card and the machine wouldn't read my card several times until finally it charged me. Went to use the card on a game and it said the balance was 0. Checked my bank transactions and sure enough, it charged me. Talked to an employee and they said there's nothing they can do and to call the number on the machine. My daughter was upset about not being able to play any games, so I went to exchange all of her quarters we brought for bills to use to load the card up, but they said they don't exchange. Called and explained to the manager and he made the pizza for me anyway. Let me get it after hours. Was excellent. The pizza was the best I have had in a long time. I go to Tony's for one reason-Chile Verde Pizza. I love it. They have it. They also have it gluten free. Win win! It's so good But oh my goodness we spend a lot here! 2 adults and one child: a small pizza with 3 toppings, a medium Chile verde pizza, and wings. $68. I mean maybe that's what I'd pay anywhere else, idk. The pizza is good. Any other pizza besides the chile verde is about the same as anywhere else. Again, it's all about the chile verde. We ate inside this time. The staff were all friendly and helpful. FYI ranch is .75 cents each. They have plenty of seating, both booths and the picnic style tables. There was a Dodger game on, but only one working TV, and it was small. There was no air circulation so we got a little warm! Everytime I come here the answer is the same. "We can't do that, we don't even have a way to charge you for it". You want a double pepperoni, sorry they refuse to do that. Want to add onions to the BBQ pizza? Can't do that either, and yes they're aware it's already a topping in the menu. I'm willing to pay for the extra toppings! Just make what my kids and I want! I realize subs if the toppings are premium, but the prices compared to their competitors are stupid high! Remember WinCo is across the street and zeppos is around the corner. My family and I have been going to Tonys Pizza on Coffee Rd. longer than I can remember. The pizza has always been great that's why we pay the extra money for it.I live right around the corner for the last 23 years now. We ordered pizzas from there a couple times a month and then the whole family eats down there kids and grandkids a couple times a month. I ordered a pizza tonight the same one we order every single time and when I went to pick it up, I had 3 inches plus crust all the way around. It looked like a small pizza in the center of a extra large crust. I asked the manager about this. He said oh the pizza bubbles and makes everything go into the center. I told him I've never seen that before. There's always about an inch of crust all the way around, but that's what he said so I left with the pizza not happy and I decided to come back and let him know that if this is gonna be the norm I won't be coming back anymore and he says well I have new people that I'm training so is it bubbling crust or new people that he's training but that was the second excuse so I walked out the door he came outside and said your next Pizza I could knock off 25% on your next visit. I let him know other manager that was here and he was great. He would make me a new pizza if there was any problem and would give you the old one for your troubles.This is a $55 pizza not a Domino's $10 pizza and you kind of want it right so he said I will make you a new one and I went and got the old pizza to give it to him and he said you can keep that so I set it on the counter and then the girl I guess that's his second in command, put it in the heater.I waited 20 minutes and he made the pizza totally incorrect on the toppings. I get a meat lovers with half pineapple on top and half olives on the other half on top and I got a meat lovers half meat lovers with olives which was correct and the other half was just a straight cheese pizza with pineapple not meat lovers so I said sir this is completely incorrect and he said I was in a hurry I didn't read your ticket thoroughly and I said OK I guess I'll take both these pizzas and make it work and then his sidekick Manager said no we can't do that. The previous manager if he screwed up your pizza he would give you the old one for your troubles. So disappointed, my 13 year old son and his friend frequent this place to have some ice cream. They follow the rules of Tony's (leaving electric scooters outside). Unfortunately, this cost them their electric scooters, they were stolen from right in front of the store. Didn't order a salad from the salad bar, but it looked fresh with a variety of options for a nice dinner salad. There is quite a lot of seating inside the restaurant, and the staff was efficient and friendly. The prices seem typical and reasonable for a pizza place. Wanted to add that the pepperoni pizza we had was very good. It had a lot of flavor with the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. The positive about this review was that the pizza was ready quick and easy to order online. The negative was the pizza was terrible. The dough was undercooked, chewy and moist in some parts. The topping we burnt in some places and undercooked in others. The worse part was that everyone who had a slice got ill in one way or another. Absolutely not going back. This is the second time Tony's somehow didn't get my phone in order processed. The first time was my grandson's first birthday, and tonight it was a family reunion. I showed up tonight just like last time and no pizza! No apology either. Tonight after they told me the order wasn't placed, I was made to wait 15 minutes before I could speak to a manager to request a reduction in price for the inconvenience. Hard pass! The pizza is great but the wedges were awful. They had a freezer burn taste to them and the breadsticks were so much smaller than before. It's upsetting because the price point for everything was so expensive. If I'm going to pay $80 for a large pizza, breadsticks and wedges, then it should at least be worth it. read more

Maybe just a bad day but both of my pizzas were burnt or over cooked too much for me. I have heard very good things about the place from trusted sources. I didn't mind the higher end price for pizza if it lived up but it didn't so I'll not try it again at nearly $25/pizza for small and medium after tax and extras. The bread sticks were really good. The ranch dip was also very good. The order was online and easy to use. The person was very nice when I arrived to pick up. I should have looked at the pizza to ask for a recook onsite but it was a too late to go through that with hungry people at home. The lobby was a little dark and small. read more
