Unprofessional and rude once they got some money. They dodged our phone calls after they missed an appointment. They ordered the wrong size part and never showed for the appointment that they had to reschedule. We already paid half the price and they've only done 1/4 of the work and we have gotten no response of when the rest of the work would be completed. Never again....quicker responding to a review than a call from customer. read more

I hired Tony's Pest Killers for rodent control and later for mold treatment and vapor barrier replacement in my crawlspace, based on positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, especially considering the $4,217 I paid for both jobs. Issues Encountered: 1. Poor Customer Service: The rodent treatment included an unexpected $16.83 credit card processing fee, which was not disclosed upfront (the amount of the fee is not the issue as each of the techs for the crawlspace job were given a $40 tip before I realized the job was left incomplete). While agreeing not to charge me the fee on future jobs, Tony called me to chastise me about complaining about the fee when he charges less than his competitors for services provided. How much Tony charges in relation to his competitors is irrelevant to the fact that I was forced to pay an avoidable fee. Tony's response to my concerns regarding the incomplete vapor barrier installation was equally unprofessional and dismissive. 2. Incomplete and Haphazard Work on the crawlspace job: * The job was scheduled from 9am to 6:30pm, but the techs arrived late without notification, and the work was completed after 8pm. * The vapor barrier installation was unprofessional and incomplete, with visible ground, dirt on the barrier, and improperly pinned sections. Trash/debris was left under and on top of the barrier despite a $1,280 charge for trash removal. After sharing photos and videos of the incomplete work, Tony agreed to send someone to finish the job but at the same time made excuses for the techs who started the job. He assured me the vapor barrier would address humidity issues, but when the humidity in my house reached 80%, he suggested contacting a home inspector instead of measuring the crawlspace humidity as promised. Despite paying several thousand dollars, I decided not to pursue the matter further due to the stress involved. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about Tony's Pest Killers. EDIT to include response to business owner: I have included images of our text conversation about the credit card processing fee. You are lying. You NEVER said your competitors charged $1,000 for the job you did because they don't charge $1,000. You only mentioned that the price was $350 pre-covid. After I thanked you via text I thought that would be the end of the conversation but you called me to chastise me about complaining about the credit card processing fee. Your ease at lying amazes me. As far as the crawl space, you estimated the crawlspace to be 1600 square ft not including the cement blocks. You asked about the old insulation and whether I wanted it thrown out with the rest of the trash before you started the job. I told you I did want it thrown out. I have attached the text exchange. At no point did you say anything about the old insulation not being included in the estimate as you were sure to mention about the trash on the cement blocks not being included in the estimate. You left any trash on the cement blocks because you said that wasn't included. You provided an estimate and then you provided the final invoice, which I paid in full. The fact that you rounded down in estimating does not justify or diminish the fact that you left the job incomplete. I do not owe you "gratitude" (as you suggest in your response) for the cost of doing business. It's bizarre that you think you are doing people a favor by providing service that is incomplete and haphazard. Good customer service goes a long way. No one asked your techs when the job was going to be done every time they emerged from the crawlspace. In fact, they were each given $40 tip ($80 total) when they claimed that the job was complete. I never told you that I preferred white plastic. I sent you an email with a question about the difference between the white and black plastic. Period. Your lies are outrageous and say a lot about your character and how you run your business. read more

Very good communication and reasonably priced. The people who were sent out were friendly and thorough. They explained the wasp situation we had in the attic, what they found, and how they treated it. Even went outside and treated the roof outside to help keep up with prevention. Would definitely recommend and request service should I need it again. read more

We have been in the Norfolk area for a couple years and had not had great luck with pest control services in the past. I had been hearing rattling in our attic and had found some droppings as well. Turns out we had a rat issue going on up there. Tony was very quick to respond and get to our house in a timely manner and was very informative as well answering all my questions in a way I understood. Very happy with the services! read more

Tony was quick to respond and professional. He communicated well what he was doing and when he would return.

After discovering I had a mouse problem, I contacted Tony's Pest Killer after trying my usual pest control company. Tony did more to resolve my problem in the first 15 minutes he was here than had been done by the previous company. He told me to contact him if I heard or saw anything. Within an hour of me contacting Tony, after hearing and seeing the mouse, it was removed from my house. I highly recommend Tony's Pest Killer for their thoroughness and responsiveness. Thank you so much. read more

We contacted Tony's Pest Killers for an indoor/outdoor pest treatment after seeing a few waterbugs inside. We also asked for a termite inspection. Annie was very helpful on the phone while making my appointment and she answered all of my questions.
