I went to this page to update a previous and review and realized I never left one (shame on me). I found Xtreme Termite & Pest via Yelp. Steve at Xtreme Termite & Pest Control is literally the best. We've been using them over a year now, he has a flat price that covers a 90 day period and will come out in between for any issues that come up. He's always reachable via text or call, and makes scheduling a breeze. We previously had Orkin and they charged so much and barely used any product. Steve is not stingy with the products used, they are pet safe as well, and he puts down a solid coat covering all borders, doors and windows. He even puts a layer in our detached garage for us! Today though was exceptional service. He had come by for our next routine pest control, went to the garage to spray and there was a SNAKE. I am not one for creepy crawlies and freaked out. Steve kept making sure I was okay and then while he was here for our routine service, he got the snake out of the garage and ensured it was out of my yard before he left. Customer service doesn't get better than that. I was SO THANKFUL he was here right at that time and will keep recommending his services to everyone who needs pest control! read more

I have been working with Steve for almost a year now. I honestly cannot believe I waited so long to hire a professional exterminator for our property. We, like so many others around here, suffer from the water bug roach infestations. Before hiring Steve, over-the-counter commercial spraying was laborious and produced no real effect -- we'd still see at least 1-2 live roaches a day. Sometimes I could hear them scurrying around at night! After finding a dead one in my son's covers when doing the laundry one day, I declared that was enough. I got recommendations from neighbors and hired Steve based on their recommendations. Steve promptly scheduled my appointment and came out in his first available window. He sprayed once, and then came back free of charge a week later to spray again just to get a good baseline down and get the situation under control. He now comes every three months and it has made SUCH a difference! In addition, since I retained him, we have had problems with mice, wasps, and bees -- all of which are included in the basic price of his service which is $85 every three months. FAR more reasonable than many of the competing companies, and the service simply can't be beat. Overall, I highly recommend Xtreme Pest Control. We very rarely see live roaches any more (if we do, it's usually a sign that we're near on our three month renewal spray), the mice are suddenly gone, and I sleep much more peacefully at night. I could not be more pleased than I am with Steve of Xtreme Termite & Pest Control. My husband and I recently moved into a new house from out of state. Since our furniture had not yet arrived, we slept on an air mattress on the floor. All through the night I was plagued with itching and bites. I got up the next morning and my feet were covered in round red flea bites, along with some to my fingers and arms. I am allergic to flea bites so I felt a bit panicked about getting rid of them immediately! Enter...Steve! He not only promptly answered the call, but in spite of having an extremely full schedule on a Saturday, he made time to come by that evening to exterminate those little pests. He even took the time to check in the following day, and assured us that he would come back, if needed. (So far, it appears that his treatment worked.) Steve was very responsive and did great at removing our wasps nest upon original request. He told me that if more come up (which more did a couple weeks later), to let him know within 90 days of treatment. I called several times and left a voicemail, no answer. So I came back on yelp to message him and he says he could come out Thursday or Friday and I told him Thursday but he never responded back. What's the point of offering a 90 day guarantee if your not going to go through with it. You are great at what you do Steve but please work on your communication and stop telling people that you have a 90 day guarantee if you're not going to follow through. Update: Steve followed up and was very professional about the situation I brought up and apologetic. Turns out he was sick. I do believe in second chances so I will use this company in the future in hopes this situation doesn't happen again. read more

When first employing this company's service, the owner was very attentive to coming when scheduled and any concerns. However, I experienced the same issues that Frances C, another reviewer, expressed. I am a new customer. Steve came out today and did the outside of my house. Took down all the spider webs, and sprayed the outside of the house. He was is very nice guy, and was very thorough. I am still in caution mode since COVID is still with to a noticeable degree, so I didn't have him do the inside this time, but he was respectful of my concerns and was ready with a face mask if I had decided to do the inside. His price is great too. Other places wanted to charge $60 - $100 more than he charges for the same services, plus some other places want to try and lock you into an unnecessary contract with a big cancelation fee. read more

EDIT: Upon seeing my review, he proceeded to pick it apart and lay blame on myself for the lack of communication. Got very defensive and sent me several VERY long texts about how his truck doesn't have magnets, he has 5 employees, and other, frankly childish and unprofessional rhetoric. The only other super negative review I saw was for the exact issues we are having. Lack of communication (at least until I wrote my 1 star review) and inability to accept criticism. Which, in the end was us telling him we weren't happy with the service we received and wanted a partial refund. I will attach pictures of the messages he sent me after seeing my review. He stated he already processed our refund. We will see if it shows in 7-14 business days. I will update when/ if it does. Also, I opted to block his number to not get anymore texts from him. Pretty unprofessional on all fronts. The guy is nice enough. But it was a hassle just getting him on the phone or scheduling future appointments for follow ups that were included with what we paid. He showed up an hour late to our original appointment time. Which was 2pm. I had already called a couple times to see if he was going to show. He messages me just before 2 pm to say he hadn't forgotten about us and that he was running late. He was there to spray the house for pests and treat for German roaches in the kitchen. He sprayed downstairs and wanted to go upstairs, but our kids were napping and he would finish spray when he came back that Thursday. He never gave a time on Thursday to come back. I had to call several times to get a time he was going to be there. He showed up late for the follow up appointment and refreshed the roach bait in the kitchen. He stated he couldn't finish the spray because he left it on his other truck. My fiance was at the house to greet him while I was at work. He did not schedule a follow up. I, again, had to call many times to schedule a follow up. He stated he had to come back to finish the spray upstairs and to again refresh the roach bait. Bear in mind, we paid for the entire service on his first visit via debit card. He chose the time to come this morning between 0800-0830. He no showed. I texted and asked for a partial refund to reflect the incomplete spray and roach follow ups that we no longer wanted. During the text exchange, he was very unprofessional and stated I only wanted the refund because of money. He volunteered to refund the entire amount, and continued to blame me for his not being able to spray upstairs. We will see if we get the refund. We paid $125 for the house spray and roach treatment with included follow ups he said was covered for 90 days. I'm pretty sure this business is just him. All calls go directly to his cell phone. He drove a pickup with magnet decals on the side. Which is fine. Good for him. But the lack of professionalism and follow up, along with not showing up at all, made us not want him to come back to complete the services. We would have been happy with a partial refund. Since he did complete some work. But the passive and unprofessional exchange when requesting it was really uncalled for and not professional at all. read more

I will preface this by saying I'm only giving two stars because Steve is seemingly nice. I'm going to keep this short and not break down my experiences with him, but know that it's bad. I've used Xtreme pest control on and off for the past three years. I am absolutely terrified of bugs and attempted to stay on a every 3 month schedule. When Steve shows up, I'm sure he does a nice job. Apart of this service is if you see anything within those 90 days he will come back and spray free of charge. But attempting to actually schedule or get ahold of him is absurd. I was sending him photos DAILY of what I was experiencing after his treatment and I just never got a reply. Until maybe 2 months later. One of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had and shame on me for continuing to try to use him for so long. He will not reply to your text or phone calls. Living in an apartment building in what they call the urban/city area over here has had its challenges. I had an issue that was keeping me up at night uncomfortable and nervous. After realizing my landlord would be no help, I reached out to this business, and was pleasantly surprised. I've never used any sort of pest control in any way and I was really nervous about how it works. The owner of this business came out to me three times three days in a row to make sure I was comfortable, and that everything had been handled. Once he assessed the area he even lowered the price due to it being smaller. It was fast, easy, affordable, convenient, and just an amazing experience. It was very cool and casual to setup an appointment, and his flat rate made it simple and straightforward. His services come with a free respray if there is activity after the initial appointment, and he gave us free advice on a drain fly problem that cropped up after we had already made our appointment. We set up a quarterly spray, which was $10 off the single treatment price. Steve was professional and cognizant of our privacy during the visit, ensuring that he could enter our bedroom and bathrooms. He was also comfortable with our dog, as he owns two himself. Steve was absolutely awesome! We contacted him early afternoon on the weekend after having found termites in our garage in such a panic.
