One day a door tag by Healthy Homes was left on my door and so I gave them a ring. I received instant communication and scheduling. AJ the owner came out and provided me a free estimate but also educated me a lot about my home, the creatures impacting my home and just so much more information than I have ever received. He noticed I had season carpenter bees and woodpecker issues which I suspected but was never confirmed by my 4 years of service with the other company. He was also very loving to my 13 yo dog and she warmed up to him fairly quick. The quote he provided me in comparison to the big name company saved me $600/year. This new quote included my detached garage which was never covered. I basically learned I was over paying for under quality service and products. We immediately book the initial service! During the initial service, I received above and beyond what I had even received with the other company's initial visit. I wanted to cry of joy because my fear of bugs is unreal. He just made me feel reassured that I was in good hands. I can not praise small businesses enough. AJ really puts his heart and soul into his small business and that in itself should lead him to having life long customers. Highly recommend!!!!

I hired them to remove a serious rat problem and encapsulate my crawl space. The salesperson, Brandon, did an excellent job explaining the process and setting expectations. Unfortunately, almost none of those expectations were met once the work began. Communication Issues The project started late, and throughout the job there were multiple days when no one showed up without any communication. I repeatedly called and texted Brandon looking for updates, but getting a response was difficult. Eventually, I had to contact his supervisor just to get the project moving again. Work Quality When they finally said the work was complete, I decided to inspect the crawl space myself. I'm glad I did. I found areas where insulation had not been installed correctly and sections that had been completely missed. To their credit, they agreed the work was incomplete and came back to fix it. However, it makes me wonder if those issues would have ever been addressed if I hadn't crawled under my house myself. I also discovered ductwork that had been knocked down during the job. Despite reporting it, no one came back to repair it, so I ended up fixing it myself. Pest Control Results What has been even more disappointing is the pest control service that was supposed to follow the encapsulation. Since the project was completed, I've actually seen more rats than I ever did before, along with an increase in bugs. I eventually started treating the property myself because I wasn't seeing results. On the few occasions they claimed they came out to spray, the visits lasted only a few minutes. It takes me nearly one hour to thoroughly treat my property's perimeter, so it's difficult to understand how an effective service could be completed in such a short time. Final Verdict This entire experience has been frustrating from beginning to end. For the amount of money I invested, I expected professional communication, quality workmanship, and reliable follow-up service. Instead, I had to constantly follow up, inspect their work myself, point out incomplete items, and even make repairs on my own. I hope Universal Pest & Termite, Inc. takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication, quality control, and customer service. As for me, I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

So, I hired him to come and spray. He suggested going with quarterly unless I've got a problem. So far, I've seen 2 dead bugs. YAY. the stuff is woking. He shows early, so be ready for that. Although pricey, they did come through and trap one of the visiting raccoons within 2days. There…read morewas still another raccoon at -large, and Epix left the trap out over the weekend but that other raccoon wasn't caught. Epix also quoted me costs to remove an overhanging tree and disinfect the roof. We chose to shop around and got a better quote to remove the tree for $450 less. The remaining raccoon disappeared when we had the tree removed. Since the raccoons had extensively damaged the roof, we didn't bother paying for Epix to clean and disinfect the roof... instead we just hired roofers to remove the old shingles and clear debris off the roof which they had to do before re-shingling anyway. No sense in paying Epix to get a roof disinfected, if we were needing to replace the roof anyway.
