Popped in while visiting family and had a very difficult time deciding which baked good to choose. There were muffins, cookies, croissants and scones (among other items). I eventually opted for the Oatmeal Raisin scone and enjoyed every bite. (This is probably one of the best scones I've eaten.) Not overly dry, while remaining slightly crumbly, and packed with plump raisins. The store itself is cute with an outdoor patio that is perfect for catching up with friends, or simply taking a few moments to yourself and enjoying the morning. read more

This is the best morning bakery in Naples, bar none. The scones are perfection. And the coffee is great, something that is hard to find in SWFL. All Tony has to do is add real New York bagels and this place becomes a destination. Oh, and the staff are great, always smiling. read more

I absolutely adore Tony's Off of Third, a gem of Naples for many many years. I have enjoyed cocktails by the bar, as well as brunch by the street, and both have been nothing short of spectacular. The service is always kind and attentive; you can tell the establishment treats their employees right, as the same individuals seem to have been working their for ages! I tried their brunch menu for the first time this past weekend and the offerings were so plentiful, I could not decide which entree to choose from! After much deliberation, I ordered the Vermont cheddar omelette with ham and potatoes. Also, after hearing how delectable the brioche doughnuts were, I had to take a spin; they certainly lived up to their name, being served with Nutella and a raspberry dipping sauce. If you are looking for a fabulously prepared breakfast on a some-what busy corner off of third street to do some people watching, Tony's has it all! I ordered my wedding cake from here - 2 tiers, no decorations, top layer gluten free and bottom layer regular. Both were to be the same flavor, vanilla cake filled with lemon citrus and raspberry marmalade, finished with buttercream on the outside. I was SO disappointed with every part of this cake. To start with, the gluten free cake was dry (which is saying something for gluten free), but I was also told later by multiple people that the regular cake was also dry. Then, there was NO raspberry marmalade. Imagine how tart the cake was without the sweetness from the marmalade to help cut the sour from the lemon. Finally, the buttercream was thick and dense, not light and fluffy at all. I called the next day to speak with the baker, Clifford, and he spent the entire conversation arguing with me that he knew for sure that there was raspberry marmalade in the cake. Not a single person at the wedding could see or taste the raspberry, plus I took a picture of the inside of the cake showing that clearly there was none in it. He just continued to argue with me and say that we were ALL mistaken because it was there. I finally gave up with trying to explain all the issues because I quickly realized it wasn't going to get me anywhere. At the end Clifford said he would give me some money back due to my concerns. I got $20 back from a cake that cost over $200 and wasn't even the right flavor; that's ridiculous. We ended up throwing about half the cake away because it was so tart, dry, and just did not taste good that nobody wanted to eat it or even take it home. Overall, I was so disappointed with the fact that I paid over $200 for a simple 2-tier cake that was a huge let down, and afterwards the customer service I received when I brought the issues to their attention. It's ingenuity like this that really keeps this town evolving. Glorious muffins, pastries, and croissants are always to be had at Tony's and don't be fooled by their lack of coffee pizazz. It's also REALLY good and they always have several different varieties. Unfortunately, there aren't very many areas to sit inside on the odd cool day in Naples, but the patio the rest of the time is a fabulous spot to sit and enjoy the paper...with a coffee and a muffin of course. read more

Really used to love this place but slowly the cakes have been worse and worse. Just ordered a cake on Friday and it was so dry and awful. Supposed to be a sponge cake and tasted like dry dry shortbread. Wasn't good at all. Wasn't a sponge cake. Very disappointed and was so embarrassed by how awful it was. We visited Tony's off third after a Saturday lunch nearby. The wine/ pastry cafe is in a great location, and seems like a fun place to hang out and people watch. It has an outdoor patio with umbrellas and tables. We stopped by to get some pastries to go, picking up the snowball, piece of chocolate cake, and a small pumpkin cheesecake. With a cup of regular coffee, the total was about $20. Overall, given the quality of the food, I thought it was slightly overpriced. ABSOLUTELY the most amazing bakery I've been to down here. Their cookies, pastries, and coffee taste like there's love thrown it there. My family and I have all split multiple desserts from there. Out of all the desserts I highly recommend their big cookies as they are perfectly sweetened. Great selection of wines, pastries, and sandwiches in a terrific Old Naples location. We would have rated it higher if the place was cleaned up. The floors inside are trashed and not in a cool way. There's a filthy umbrella adjacent to the outside bar and the awning and its signage are dirty to the point of being gross. The outside seating is a real asset but the floor looks like it hasn't been power washed in years. Such easy fixes. Weird. read more

The best wine selection (along with some inexpensive offers), some great coffee and pastries and some excellent gourmet food for the lunch crowd makes Tony's Off Third a great choice anytime during the day for the Naples crowd. If you are looking for a nice bottle of wine in the Naples area, you should go to Tony's FIRST. The wine manager is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and will be able to resolve any oeno-issue that you may have. Heavily focused on California, with some real surprises like Duckhorn, Provenance, Opus and Silver Oaks at great great prices. Coffee menu is simple, with a focus on brews, but there is a wide selection ranging from Costa Rica, Colombia, Ethiopia to your traditional American brews. Also your typical lattes, espressos, etc. Pastries - nothing like a great scone or muffin hot from the oven in the morning. I believe that the majority of the scones are made on-premise, but can't confirm. I have enjoyed the banana-walnut, currant scones - I would even make the drive from Miami sometimes to just get back over to this place. (no kidding) So if you live local and aren't taking advantage of this place, tsk tsk. There are also great choices like flourless chocolate cake and other cakes for desserts. Beautiful silver, shimmering Christmas tree with gigantic white and silver ornaments outside during the holiday season - great photo opportunity and an easy landmark to use in case you can't find the place right off of 3rd St. Ample, comfortable outside seating - many new tables and also umbrellas if the sun becomes too strong. Easy parking across the street. Probably one of my favorite breakfast places in all of Florida, for light pastries and coffee. Probably one of my favorite boutique wine stores in all of the USA, for medium-priced California wines (excluding places in California like Bounty Hunter, etc) ...I'm really surprised that I didn't see Gary Vaynerchuk hanging out here during his holiday vacations in Naples.. this is his kinda place! read more

Well, these folks know sevice. They have limited cheese during the off season so when i called to order a gift basket today i was concerned I would be out of luck. Not the case. Gia (I hope correct name) took the bull buy the horns and rather than dissappoint me went to a local gouremt store, picked up some great cheeses plus and delivered to my wife and her girlfriends the most spectacular treats, featuring 3 bottles of great wine. I recently got married and we had our reception at Ridgeway Bar and Grill, which is owned by the same people that own Tony's Off Third. Ridgeway suggested contacting Lexi, the pastry chef at Tony's to make the wedding cake. I went to the bakery and tried a cupcake and coffee, and it was pretty delicious; so I emailed Lexi to start the wedding cake ball rolling. Together, Lexi and I designed my dream wedding cake. She was delightful to work with and very receptive to my ideas. When the day came and our cake was brought out, I almost cried. It was perfect! My vision brought to life. Then came the time to cut the cake, and I was stunned at how amazing it tasted! So many of my guests stated that it was either the best white cake, or just simply the best cake they had ever eaten. Many people asked for a second piece. I was truly delighted with the whole experience. Again, Lexi was wonderful to work with. Cake was both stunning and delicious. And price, while not inexpensive, it was competitive (I priced cakes at Publix, and they weren't much less! And Publix didn't deliver!) read more
