Apple fritter size reference
Elena D.

These donuts are as amazing as everyone says they are. Made fresh daily, they do sell out so come early. The apple fritter was my absolute favorite and was as big as my head!

What's left of a dozen. Look at the SIZE of those DONUTS!

I dropped in to pick up a dozen donuts and two Apple Fritters after being told this was THE BEST donut shop in the area. Game on! There are 36 different donuts to choose from. THIRTY SIX. And these range from some typical sized cake donuts to some double-sized donuts that are HUGE. I had two - a double-chocolate cake, and a lemon filled wonder. You know at some famous donut shops, where you get a little lemon in your standard sized donut? Yep, you get around 10 times as much in this one. It was incredible. We split the apple fritter 4 ways, and even that was so tasty - you could taste the apples. The apple fritter is sized like a "hubcap tenderloin" to give you an idea of how big they are. Service was friendly. The way out is odd - if you have to go back down Old 41, I'd suggest waiting for a break, and making a u-turn at the light like I had to. Even with my ground clearance, I wasn't going to try the median and violate the no left turn sign. The place inside is just a plain donut shop. Not a ton of decorations. You can sit inside and eat if you want - tables were available to the right as you walk in the front door.

Food: every Google review was right. You can tell love was put into these donuts. Not only are they made fresh but they tasted as such too. And yes this is a disgusting word in the English language but these donuts were MOIST. That apple fritter though... Big as my face! Crispy sweet frosting as the outlayer and a MOIST inner layer with every Bite. Moist! Service: get here at the open ala 6am if you can. Because here...them MOIST Ds go fast! With that bring said...I arrived around 833am...and the line moved in a steady pace. They know how to turn a customer. Cool part for me...the guy helping me snuck an extra donut in my bag and didn't charge me. Bonus! MOIST! If I find myself coasting through ole 41...I'd stop by again.

Trackside has been here forever but still delivers on its donut promises. We went around 11 and they were sold out of a lot of options, but we were able to snag a vanilla icing, strawberry icing, something raspberry, a cinnamon sugar, and the honey glazed which is their traditional glazed. These are HUGE! I ate one and could basically hang from the ceiling for the rest of the day after all of the sugar, but in a good way. I didn't think these would keep for very long, but I was still eating them a few days later with proper storage. They do NOT have breakfast sandwiches anymore, even though a lot of reviews mention it. Go try them out but get there early!

I really have come to love this place. It is most certainly a roadside attraction for any tourist visiting Southwest Florida. The outside is dilapidated, but as soon as you walk in, you are greeted with the sweet aroma of donuts. My kids love the apple fritters and they are as big as their heads!!! Every donut is delicious and reasonably priced. There is a reason it's been here forever. No frills, just delicious donuts.

Great donuts. I love the blueberry cake donuts and my husband loves the cinnamon bun. We usually don't preorder but you can and I would suggest doing so if you want more than a dozen or if is during season.

Fritter

Haven't been here in 10 years. Bought a fritter, jelly and cream donuts. The fritter was the size of a dinner plate and weighed about 2 lbs, no joke. The two donuts were also very heavy. One bite into the fritter revealed a grease filled blob that was inedible. The two donuts were not fully cooked through and were revolting. Nobody could eat these. I threw it all away, so $10 bucks down the drain. It's hard to make really bad donuts, but they managed it here.

Selection at 11am

I've had trackside donuts on the bucket list for quite some time and we finally made it out for a taste. We got there around 11am on a Saturday and the line was pretty short but people were in and out like crazy. You need to get there early for the best selection but there was still plenty to choose from. We got the honey dipped (their original), Boston cream, white iced, chocolate iced, cream filled (can't remember the name but has powdered sugar all around), an Apple fritter, coffee and orange juice all for around $20! There wasn't anything special about the coffee but we came for the donuts and they were good. The icing filled donut with powdered sugar was not my fav, it was really rich. The Apple fritter is as big as your face and really good but again, not my fav (not my thing I suppose). However, LOVED the honey dipped, chocolate iced, Boston cream (pretty rich), and white iced. We got 4 honey dipped to go because they were so good! We will be back if we are in the area

It has been 4 months since I left Chicago and little did I know awesome doughnuts. Well I finally found a yummy yummy doughnut that would make Homer drool. Size, price, taste filling all delicious. Ill be back for sure. If they made great coffee Id never leave. There coffee was good and Ive had far worse at restaurants. I was so busy typing I forgot a snapshot of the boston creme. They still deserve 5 stars.

I would consider these artisan doughnuts so they are priced a little more than a Dunkin doughnut. They had around five choices when I came in. I went with an apple fritter with rosemary. It also had cherries in it. Very different but I like it.

He made 4 different flavors of doughnuts & 3 different flavors of individually wrapped cookies for our brunch. Our guests raved about the sweets & also said they were the best doughnuts they've ever had! Both times we have worked with Dojo Doughnuts to make a vision come to life, we have been beyond impressed in every way possible. Having eaten speciality donuts in Chicago, NYC, Sarasota, Tampa etc. Dojo Doughnuts is by far the best product.

And then what a coincidence that nobody was taking my order and there were people there that could have been some were sitting on the ground others were disappearing, so I don't know where and I was told that it was short staffed. I had just returned from a vacation and spotted this flea market and it became a nightmare and the…read moreworst experience of visiting a flea market ever. I say this as I have been going to flea markets since the 1970s and I had just in the process of buying some gifts when I was approached by a tap on the shoulder and a man who identified himself as the general manager named David saying if you would like to sell things you can do it inside I can sell you a spot. I said "hi Santa no thank you I'm just cleaning out my car and taking a photo and I'll be going in there in a few minutes to spend money." I just got done buying a case of soda from a nice lady vendor near the front who is so polite she gave me some Mexican Day of the Dead masks that I can give out to my fellow workers I did not get her name but I just walked back to my car to place them inside and was repacking the two suitcases. I had been on a long trip and it was just sorting out the toiletries the gifts my dirty clothes and it was not trying to sell anything I was just cleaning out my car packing so I got more room to spend money for Christmas gifts at this fle. This guy said "I am David the general manager here and you cannot sell anything" and I told him I was not trying to sell. Why would I try to sell Dominican Republic rum without a liquor license on top of a hot car on a hot day does that really make any sense? He went on to say I am going to call the police and have you trespass and I laughed at him so I waited 30 minutes in the hot sun for the sheriff to arrive. I explained what was going on he told me that the general manager of the flea market thought I was selling things and asked me if I would just pack up and leave or he was going to have me trespass which I understood. I'm not going to argue with Johnny law so I packed up everything however the real losers are the vendors because I had over $5,000 to spend on Christmas gifts there in about the only vendor I met was the Spanish Man who sold me some fruit and the lady who sold a case of sodas for $6 I was going to come back and buy some more as well as buy more things in the flea market but since David was being aggressive and kind of a jerk I packed. What irritates me the most is unprofessionalism and greed because he was a bean counting goniff and he wanted to squeeze out some money for me when I was clearly not selling anything. I asked him to prove this and he could not because nothing happened I was just a regular customer. I have a full-time job I'm also an entertainer so I have enough money where I don't have to worry about standing in 90° heat to sell a $5 bottle of Dominican Republic rum. I think it's really pathetic that he talks to total strangers this way he has no idea who I am but he turned out to be the biggest jerk I have ever met at a flea market in over 40 years. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you want Santa to try to extort money from you. Pathetic man he was what a horrible way to greet a stranger.
