The first visit I had a male tech, the second time a female, and both were thorough and professional. I usually call ahead to make an appointment, and they've always been able to get me in without much of a wait. They're efficient, which I appreciate--and the best part? They have Wi-Fi! I am very pleased with this salon. I recently moved here and had difficulty finding a good salon. I had a bad experience at Lee nails. A few weeks later I tried Tony's. I came on a Wednesday earlier in the day. They were busy but they fit me in. I only waited about 5 minutes. Tony prepped my nails before his appointment showed up and did an amazing job. He was kind and gentle. I was very pleased with my cleaning and shaping. After that someone else finished as Tony had an appointment. She did such a great job and made sure I was happy throughout the time. I forgot her name. Can't wait to return. read more

I am not one to complain, believe me.. but I am so disappointed with my experience here. Nails are supposed to be a service, a relaxing one at that, I did not experience this. Pros: very clean, nice staff, sterilized tools. Now the bad (and there's a lot of it) I made an appointment for a pedi and a gel dip mani. When I called they asked me to come earlier, so I tried my best and arrived 15 min earlier. I chose my colors - all good, then the pedi began. Super rushed, speaking in another language while gesturing to me (and not speaking to me at ALL), no massage - just a very short rub, rush rush rush! And then she cut my nail to look all wonky and at this point I was beginning to get upset. She got upset when I would flinch from being tickled and would push and shove for me to move my feet instead of just asking. Come on! Then the mani. I got cut, like 5 times. Cut from the electric buffer AND the manual buffer (yes, the square hand held one) and then as she put layers of alcohol and I would wince and grit my teeth at the pain I got a "its okay! Dont worry!"... umm. What? She would miss spots sometimes and would giggle each time she made a mistake - quirky at first then just fueled my grr. As I leave I decide against getting my eyebrows done (because no WAY will you mess those up!) and all I can feel is the powder and whats left behind under EACH nail... still picking at them! Ive had my fair share of bad experiences at salons, but I am so, so flexible (i'm a teacher ya'll, flexible is what I AM) but I just can't with this. spending $70 of my hard earned money and I don't even get a functioning massage chair? Great Nail spa! We made reservations for two Mani Pedis over the phone and were accommodated right away! The owner was super helpful and got us situated with colors and our seats as soon as we walked in at the appointed hour. Nice massage chair for pedicures. My only issue was the nail polish went on a little thin and only two coats were used and the technician cut me with the nippers on soft tissue. Boo. Sad face. The owner did my fingers - and it was the first time I tried powder dip nails. I am hooked. The nail process for powder dip is a lot different than gel nails, and I am going on my second full week and there's not a chip or a weak flakey nail bit anywhere - these things are on here to stay! I highly recommend this salon. If you work with the owner and you will get the highest service. Be sure to advocate with your pedicure technician to make sure you get enough coats of polish and be aware so they do not accidentally nip you. read more

Thus, I have an idea of an okay, average, and great nail salons. Here is my honest review - I want to highlight there are a few poor reviews listed. However, recently there has been a change of staff at this nail salon and all technicians that currently work at the salon offer exceptional work. This business won points for me when I saw that there were changes in staff in order to provide exceptional service to the beloved customers. Thus, if there is a one-star review this could have been for the guy who is no longer there. My second experience was great, which was done by Tony. My gel manicure and pedicure lasts over a month and the prices are affordable. Bottom Line: Quality Service - My Gel Manicure (SNS) lasted for over 5 WEEKS. I'm hard on my hands too since I loved (packed a lot of boxes), wash too many dishes, and swim weekly. Parking - Ample and Free parking is a plus. Cleanliness - 100% - New and packaged tools for each customer. Don't come here if you want a relaxing spa day. The store itself doesn't have the new modern feel and good use better aesthetics. Hanna has been doing my nails for 10 years and she's been doing my mothers years for about 5 years. She is the only person that I trust to do my nails and eyebrows. Hanna has such talent with nails and she takes her time to make sure that your nails exceed your expectations. My mom always loves her nails when Hanna does them. All i have to do is show Hanna a picture of what I want and she's able to do it and make it look fantastic! Pros: since I was a walk-in they actually took me in pretty quickly. Cons: I do not mind when people speak in their native language in front of me, but it does bother me that my tech did not interact with me. I chose to go for the dip powder. The work felt rushed the whole time. I was cut a couple of times and then blamed for it by being told that I was too tense. After he was finished I had to ask him if he could clean up all the product that was around my nails. He just wiped my fingers with a little bit of acetone and it was still there. I had to remove it myself. If you want something rushed and low quality then this is your place. Customer service is not at the standard it should be and for the $40 you pay not worth it. read more

I may have had a new person do my nails. I was not happy with the service. The nail tech butchered my nails, was very rough, and left glue all over my nails. There was also a communication barrier. I did not want acrylic and she continued to put them on. She used her tools to scrap off the acrylic when she remembered later that I didn't want them. She nicked my cuticles a lot. With all the scraping she burned my nails and they become sensitive when I put them under the blue light. I was unable to have the nails I wanted bc of how to rough she was. So I had to get a nude color to try and cover up what she couldn't do. I also had a pedicure. It wasn't very good. I tipped well since it's almost the holiday but I'm not coming back. read more

If I could give 0 starts I might have! Start with pros: they were able to take us right away. I called and within 15 minutes my daughter and I had appointments for manicures. That was GREAT! Cons: They were kind of rude service wise. Most importantly though both my daughters and my nails look bad. The paint job was not good at all. And within an hour of leaving today I have chips on half my nails. I also waited for at l say 20 minutes afterwords to MAKE sure both of us were dry before leaving. We just got regular manis and it was $15 each and now I need to reprint my nails myself. Totally bad and we will never go back. I can't believe there are good reviews on here. I was so excited to try the dip powder. Couldn't find many salons in Frederick that do it yet. Someone told me about this place. We had an appointment for 2 dip manicures. As soon as we sat down to pick through and decide on the colors, the guy who was supposed to do our nails just started standing over us. Like literally within 6 inches of us, on top of us. Obviously felt like we were being rushed! They had a lot of colors to choose from! Give me more then 2 minutes to find one. He finally said, "I'll take one of you now." So with one hand I'm having to thumb through a color while he buffs my other hand. Very awkward. So then the "manicure" started. I say manicure lightly because he actually did NOTHING a manicure entails other then put the powder on my fingers. No massage, no cuticle cutting, no cleaning up around the nails. Just buffed my nails for powder then put the powder on. I finally had to ask at the end if he could at least file my nails down and give them some shape. He said "they're too short"...... but they're not short..... Same exact thing for my friend. Except for her at the end she asked if could clean up all the leftover nail gel and powder he'd gotten on the skin around her nails. He said, "it'll just come off when you wash your hands..." We were picking at our manicures for hours trying to get that junk off lol And both still had to pay $40/piece. Ridiculous. And my powder has bubbles in it.... read more
