I frequently come here for pedicures. It is so hard to find a nail salon that will do a great job that even after I moved to WV, I still drive here to get my pedicures done. They do a wonderful and thorough job. I need pedicures done every two weeks due a genetic condition where I get corns on the bottoms of my feet that causes a lot of pain when I walk (think walking barefoot on gravel). My doctor told me the only thing that will help remove them for good was regular pedicures. I have been coming here for several years and have not been disappointed. read more

This place looks nice from the outside, but totally different inside. It seems like it needs or is under construction. I was not greeted properly at the entrance door. The lady that appeared from the back just simply told me to pick a color. I waited about 20 minutes to be serviced and the guy who did my mani/pedi was not top notch. Everything seemed rushed. BEWARE!! STAY AWAY!! My mani/pedi was a disaster and, THE WORSE by far I've ever had. The man tech did everything with a power tool instead of a file. He kept running over my cuticle's and ripping and burning them. I left there in pain, bleeding, on 4 fingers and both big toes. My fingers and toes hurt for days. There was bubbles and debris in the nail polish. The manager looked at my nails before I left, and ignored the big mess made of my nails. To top it all off, my bill was $134. So it was the worst job, and crazy expensive. They don't post there prices on a menu, and I failed to ask before letting the touch me. Had drip put on my nails will never go back there. She did a poor job had her redo two nails should of had her redo them all. Polish was lifted after I left so she didn't do it right. She burned my nail bed with the electric nail grinder. I told her about on of the other nails and she said that is you're skin, no that is part of the nail that she didn't put dip on. So not happy at all. It's been two weeks and has been buggy me ever since I had them done. We go to get it removed off my nails soon and never going back there. Went for a mani/pedi before a wedding in the area, they were accommodating and very nice. Expensive though, $85 for the combo. Most unfortunately my gel manicure was very disappointing. Chipped the next day, full nails coming off within the week, never had such poor quality with gel. read more

I have been going to the nail place since 2013. While I have issues they haven't been major but I think complacency has taken over. I got dip Nails along with Waxing and pedicure. Well the first time I got dip nails they charged me less than what they did before. Once I questioned it the second time, I was told that they had done less last time, which is not true. I got a rude message back. I was still thinking if going back was worth it when I found that 24 hours after I had my dip nail manicure done it cracked. Picture attached. I had to get it fixed on an emergency basis and spent some more to repair the damage caused. My father is in hospice and actively dying. I have been caring for him in quarantine. I came here on at the request of my family, apparently people need to take care of themselves too? Who knew. Thao was so calming, so relaxing and not only dealt with my disgusting feet with a smile, but left them feeling better than they have in months. I was visiting Frederick and stopped in to get my nails done. I got the dipped powder #9. The color was beautiful and the finished product was nice. I paid $45 for the dipped powder. The nail technician was friendly and we had good conversation. I give this place 3 stars because I paid $45 and three days later one of my nails chipped, after 6 days they all had broken off. It's important to note this was my first time getting the dipped powder so I didn't know what to expect but the nail tech did say they last longer than the gel polish (which is what I originally asked for) but she convinced me to try the dip. They definitely DID NOT last longer than gel nails & I basically threw away $45. So 3 stars for conversation, color, & lasting three days lol. Thanks. read more

My best friend and I just went here on a recommendation from a coworker and we were very impressed. I got a dip powder manicure and it is absolutely fantastic! I've never been so excited over my nails before. The technician, Stephen, paid careful attention to detail, was so polite, and made the whole experience very enjoyable. The salon has a calming atmosphere, it's beautifully decorated, and the employees clearly take the time to get to know each of their clients and it shows in the fact that so many people were regulars while I was there. The receptionist (don't know her name was lovely) I was excited to go she was super accommodative and flexible. The lady that "chose me" didn't even let me look at colors she grabbed the nail chains off the wall and said come sit down. She grabbed one of my hands to start working and I was left sitting there with one hand all the nails in my lap trying to go through them. She said next hand and I hadn't even come close to a color and then she basically was like choose this one it's fine. (I know I have a voice to speak up and tell her to chill but we all know how uncomfortable that shit is). The manicure sucked and was rushed, the pedicure was the worst pedicure I think I've ever had I may have more dried peeling skin then when I went in there. And also, it was 100$ I thought I was going to drop dead. 2 other girl friends of mine were there getting dip. One refused a mani after her pedi experience and the other almost didn't pay. I've been to this place a handful of time. It's hard to rate this place fairly because they have some talent in there and others are just meh. I would suggest you go to one of the younger girls otherwise you probably won't be satisfied.. I had to return to get my nails fixed just to have to go back to the women who didn't do it right the first time.. they seemed to agree with my "complaint" The lady said how is this after fixing one hand, I said ... well it's better.. I don't like confrontation so I'm just dealing with the better results and I didn't have much time to sit there any longer. For the prices they charge you shouldn't leave unhappy the first time let alone the second time... BUT I will say I got one of the younger girls the first time I went and she was excellent... I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN!!! I have been going to this nail salon for years. On my most recent visit the nail tech cut me while I was getting a pedicure. The injury is very painful. I informed management/ownership and they gave me the worst attitude. At first, I was begrudgingly offered a small discount on my next service and one of the nail techs chimed in and said "If you don't like you go to another store." I said to him "who likes being cut?!?!" I did not realize that I was supposed to enjoy being injured. Finally after I held my ground I was given a refund. The manager/owner CHOSE to handle this situation with a long term customer very poorly. Do NOT receive any services from this place. I came here July 3rd for a mani pedi. Instead of telling me the paint was old, she just used it anyway. It was a gooey mess. When I asked her to fix it, she just kept piling on the paint making it worse and worse and even more gooey. Pics attached. Not to mention the fact this business charged my card TWICE!!!! I PAID 110 dollars for a $45 mani pedi combo. Don't GO HERE!!! They just argued with me and a customer got involved too. Don't waste your time. I already filed with the BBB. I love Belles. You make an appointment there, and they take you at your appointment time! Not after they get done with the walkins like some places where you wait 30 minutes even with an appt. BUT at same time, they don't deal with walk ins well becasue they do actually prioritize their appt cusotmers. I also love it as it is calm and relaxing, there are not a zillion kids there belonging to the nail techs yelling and running through shop. The techs them selves also talk to one another in regulated voices instead of shouting from one end of the shop to the other at each other. their pedicare chairs are also wodnerful! They don't do designs very well...a lmitied amount of techniques, and they are just slightly more than some shops, but becasue of all the things I consder huge pluses, I pay it!! read more

Moved from Maine and went to a couple Nail Salons before I found this wonderful Salon! Example of going elsewhere... Recently went to another nail salon down the road with a friend for a girls night. I was nervous to go to another salon because Belle is so good at attention to detail and I have OCD with my nails. Needless to say I went with my friend since she was paying. Well as soon as we left the other Salon (Gorgeous Nails) I was so upset with my nails. Went back the next day to get a chip fixed and a nail repainted since it was only half painted. The owner was sooo rude and didn't want to fix the chip! Instead he filed it down so short which looked stupid. I asked him to fix the nail because it was short and he got so mad and did a horrible job (I left with a schrek looking nail) I instantly drove over to Belle Nails hoping they could squeeze me in to fix my nails, and they did and my nails are back to being perfect! Needless to say you won't see me being talked into trying somewhere else. I have attached pictures to show the difference. The dark color is when my nails were done at Gorgeous Nails, the middle finger is what was "fixed" ... the second picture is once Belle Nails got a hold of them to actually fix them and make them pretty again!! Not happy. I made my friend and I an appointment on Sunday morning at 11:30. It was packed and they kept us waiting for 30 min. I heard another woman complaining as she sat in the pedicure chair for 30 min before anyone came to work on her toes. I got a gel manicure for $30, but it turned out so bad. There are so many bubbles, and the color is not even - probably so bad because the manicurist was doing mine and my friend's nails at the same time! The manicurist got the top coat all over my friends fingers. So for a gel manicure and a lack of attention to customers, I give a low review UPDATE: Tuesday my nails were already chipping, Wednesday they peeled off in sheets. I called to get a refund and they blew me off. I am never returning here. read more

Alright aright!!! I must first say... This is one of the top ten nail salons in the DMV area. Jessica was extremely courteous and professional, she did my pedicure and stay attentive the whole time... Sammy ended up doing my manicure, she took her time and did everything as I wanted, no questions, no attitude... Very pleasant!!! I was veeeeeryyyy skeptical when I walked in, because before I sat down, Jessica greeted me and asked what I wanted done... Once we walked in, one of the ladies was sitting at her table... Jessica asked for her to do my nails, and she said no, then once I stated that I had somewhere to be in an hour, Jessica asked her again, the lady reluctantly got up and put the nail polish remover on my fingers (very gently and nice), I don't know what she was upset about originally, but once she did that, I felt more comfortable... Then the lady left and never came back!!!! Ummmm, ok then!!! Fortunately, Sammy finished the job once she had completed the customer she had on her table. So, yes, I HIGHLY recommend getting your nails done with Jessica or Sammy, some of the other ladies there seemed good too, but I don't know their names.... So I can't vouch! Sammy got all my crazy cuticles!!! I've been wanting to find a salon that truly removes it all, and I must say, she put in work, and got them all! I will be going back for sure!!! But first, I will have to save just for my pampering day!!! I got French tips on both my toenails and my fingernails, it was $35 each!!! It was just a regular pedicure, $35??? That's too much!!! He was also very quick. I asked for a custom set of Mickey/Disney nails and Jessica created a beautiful design after I showed her my Pinterest inspiration board!! I also appreciate that she did not try to pressure me to cut my real nails, which are medium length...instead she gave me one of the best manicures I've ever had so not only are my nails super cute, but they're all natural too. This was the first time I came here and will likely be the last. It wasn't anything special. I got a pedicure that was just basic and not really relaxing like I was hoping and I'd experienced other places. They did a fine job of trimming and painting my toenails, but it really wasn't much more than I would have done on my own at home. I also asked for a design to my big toe, which is mostly why I get pedicures instead of painting my own toenails, and I was told they don't do that. If I had known this before coming I would have gone somewhere else, and next time I will. read more

I am very upset with my nails. I got gel nails and within a day one chipped. I went back for them to fix it as it Was very expensive and within 5 days the entire nail of polish chipped off. Came to this place with my mother in law. She comes here all the time to get her nails done. It was my birthday and my bf got me a gift certificate for this place. I got a pedicure and a full set with gel nail polish. The staff was really nice. Place was clean I felt comfortable. I actually really liked the pedicure a lot and the best part was they didn't hurt my nails when they are too aggressive with pushing back the cuticles or with the machines I hate that. In total I paid 72 and Gave the guy a 8 buck tip cause I'm certificate was for 80. I like my nails I just think they can be filed a little bit better I decided to get the almond shape for the first time. But besides that I would definitely return to this place. read more
