This studio is a new location for her but what is not new is her continued excellence in teaching Pilates. She is SO good at understanding each individual's needs, abilities and limitations and offers modifications- all while pushing you to do your best. What's great is that she is this hard core smart teacher - coupled with a great personality- she is the only one that can make Pilates both challenging and enjoyable (well almost enjoyable- it is hard work after all). Taking these 800 classes, balanced with yoga and other things during my 50's I know has helped to keep me healthy.

What really sets this studio apart is the hospitality and attention to detail. You can tell they've thoughtfully designed every part of the experience for their guests. Let's start with the positive. The place is fairly clean and the staff is nice. The sauna and other…read morethings are often full. The weight area is difficult in the evenings to get to because there's no structure. People just sit at the machines for 20 minutes scrolling on their phones instead of lifting anything. That's making getting thru any workout even more stressful than it should be. Or they have groups of people holding up 4 machines at a time. It's sad. I went to cancel the membership because of this reason. Apparently you have to pay out the full year. DO NOT signup here. There are much better places in the area that will actually let you be able to workout or even let you leave the contract without needing to pay the entire year. I only been with them a few months but will never go with Crunch in any city after this disaster. If you like checking out barely dressed females tho then I highly recommend. They don't give two poops about what goes on in the place just that they get paid.

The location was easy to find. We didn't bring yoga mats but they had plenty for us to use. Bonnie Abbott was the instructor and I can't say enough positive things about her. I've torn/destroyed my ACL and meniscus and she was so helpful at giving me alternate exercises. Kareem and Nick enjoyed it as well! I HIGHLY recommend Bonnie and the Adaptive Slo Flo Yoga at Yogamour. Here is Bonnie's background provided on their site: Bonnie Abbott, E-RYT 500, is a trauma-informed yoga teacher passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces while also offering dynamic and accessible yoga classes for people of all body types and abilities. Her approach is rooted in compassion, connection, and making yoga accessible to everyone. Bonnie specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual assault, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Bonnie has also been teaching children in multiple settings since 2005, and kids yoga specifically since 2019. Bonnie also provides practical, engaging education on nervous system regulation to schools, daycares, and community organizations.

I purchased two tickets for a "sound bath" workshop, intending it as a thoughtful birthday gift…read more Based on the description (which is now unavailable), we expected a calming, meditative experience with sound bowls--something relaxing and grounding. Unfortunately, the actual workshop was the complete opposite. It involved expressive dance, chanting, and movement that felt far outside the scope of what was advertised. It wasn't at all what we signed up for, and we weren't the only ones who felt this way--another attendee left before we did and confirmed that the description hadn't aligned with the experience. Even before the workshop, communication with Yogamour was disorganized and frustrating. I tried for months to confirm workshop details. The first number I called turned out to belong to someone currently teaching abroad, and though I left a detailed voicemail, I never received a response. I only learned they were out of the country after calling a second number listed on the site. That person gave me an email contact, but I never received a reply from them either--something that would be unacceptable in most professional environments. I even made a trip to the Yogamour location in Frederick in hopes of speaking with someone in person. After waiting for a class to end, I was ultimately told to "check the website," which felt dismissive and unhelpful. Despite all that, I still proceeded because the person I was buying this for really wanted to try it. We visited the website together and chose what we believed was the right session. But when the workshop finally happened on May 18, 2025, it was simply not what was described. We stayed for about an hour out of the scheduled two, giving it a fair chance before leaving--disappointed and frankly, a bit frustrated. I would not recommend Yogamour based on this experience. Communication was poor, follow-up was nonexistent, and the actual workshop did not match what was advertised. I hope this review prompts the team to reconsider how they handle both customer inquiries and workshop descriptions. At the very least, I'd appreciate some form of acknowledgment or consideration for the experience we had--and the time and effort put into trying to make it special for someone else. (Workshop was on May 18, 2025)
