Love this place. I call it the country club of all of the Club Pilates in the area. It's huge when compared to the other ones. The instructors are top notch and have decades of experience so you will get a well rounded Pilates experience in both contemporary and classical. Jan and her cadre of instructors will always ensure that you have a great and safe workout. In fact, I deliberately go here to work out on the days I need extra assistance with help of my various ailments. I can always count on Jan to help roll out the kinks on my back and feet in her Restore class. Lee Anne also gives the best classical Pilates workout. She ensures your core is engage and alignment is on point to get the most out of your Pilates experience. read more

I've been going to Club Pilates for a while now, and I can honestly say it's made a huge difference in my life--both physically and mentally. The classes are challenging in the best way, and I've noticed major improvements in my strength, posture, and flexibility. The instructors are super knowledgeable, supportive, and great at offering modifications when needed. I love how each class is a little different, so it never gets boring. Plus, the studio is always clean, welcoming, and well-equipped. If you're looking for a low-impact but incredibly effective workout that tones, strengthens, and helps you feel more connected to your body, I can't recommend Club Pilates enough. read more

I just signed up for the Club Pilates in South Frederick. They had offered a free session to introduce newcomers to the concept. The introduction class was led by Michele. While only 30 minutes long, it gave a very thorough taste of what Pilates entail, and I felt Michele did an outstanding job of showing the vast array of possibilities in a short period of time and making the concept very attractive to neophytes. I had my first full class 2 days later. I will keep you posted on my impressions as I get more familiar with the routine but so far, here are my impressions. The studio is very attractive and enticing. In a somewhat smallish place, a ton of equipment is packed without making the space look crowded. Everything is clean and immaculate. So far, the group "level 1" where I belong is somewhat eclectic; only women, some in a very good shape, some faced with injuries. There are many ways to bring everyone together through a series of adjustments and the trainer is attentive to accompany each lady by dropping or adding resistance, expanding movements...etc. Being only 12 per session makes it easy for the instructor to quickly identify when the form is not adequate and to gently fix it. 50 minutes goes by quickly. I left feeling the work on my body, but I was not exhausted. And as I am writing this note the following day, my core is fatigued but not sore. It is encouraging since I have not worked out regularly in a long time and I was concerned that getting back on track with a routine would be painful and discouraging. I will give you an update in a few weeks but so far so good. read more

I was apprehensive at first going into a Pilates Club, thinking it was going to be like going to any other big name gym I have been to were you get side eyes, glares, and disgusted looks because you look different. Not at Club Pilates South, that was NOT the case. ALL are welcome no matter your skill, size or age! The staff are professional, uplifting, welcoming and encouraging. I love this place and wish I could continue. Unfortunately, my financial circumstances changed, and it costs too much. The staff and owner are friendly and customer oriented. They modify exercises if you have medical issues and offer a freeze on your account. They offer many different classes for all people; though higher level classes are fewer. Additionally, morning classes fill fast and cannot be reserved more than one month in advance if the subscription is less than unlimited (Tier 3). Overall, a great experience for beginners or intermediates. read more

I like the workout because it is a great combination of weights, stretching and cardio. in my experience, it balances one's body and fixes misalignments. This particular studio is very welcoming and the staff would always work with you to make sure you get the most out of the program. The instructors are very competent, pleasant and motivating. And the front desk staff are also very nice, professional and willing to help. read more

I have done 277 classes so far at Club Pilates (this location) and love it so much. It's the only type of workout that I have been able to stick with over a period of time. I started with the 4-pack and quickly moved up to the 8-pack as I found I loved it so much. Before I knew it, I was on the unlimited plan and now I go 3-4 times a week! It is such a great workout and my body feels amazing afterward. Everyone there is so welcoming and kind. There are people of all experience levels there and there are lots of class types to choose from. read more

DO NOT JOIN CLUB PILATES! They are unresponsive and have unethical business practices. I joined club Pilates in March of 2018. When I signed up I was told that I could cancel or downgrade my membership after 90 days. I really enjoyed the classes at the beginning but found I was not using all 8 class s every month. I had inquired about rolling over the unused classes and was told I could not to that. I tried downgrading my membership by phone and in person and was told I had to talk to Scott who was never available when I was there. I began having back problems that were activated by the Pilates so I requested to put a hold on or cancel my membership. I again tried to call and stop by to speak to Scott and he was not available. I sent him an email on Sept 23 requesting to stop my membership. I continue to get charged Sept. 26, Oct. 26, Nov. 26, and Dec 26. I disputed the Oct, Nov, and Dec charges with my credit card company as I had written documentation that the charges were unauthorized. 10 days later I received a call from a collection agency threatening to report my delinquency to the credit bureaus. I immediately called the club Pilates office and asked to speak to Scott or the owner. I left a message two days ago and have still received no response. read more

This is a really innovative fitness facility with state of the art Pilates equipment. Including the infamous reformer board and Pilates chair. That's not all, there is a spring board, body balls, resistance balls, dumbbells and many other neat but functional fitness tools to use along your journey. I did the intro class ton got and learned about all the different classes offered, the pricing and class schedule. They do offer a lot of classes each day so getting to one should be optional. For me anyways. It is pricy but I think of it as an investment in my life, health and overall quality of life. This may not be an option for all but I'm excited to try it an add it to my fitness plan. read more
