I stuck with them. Then I moved and have about a 15-minute drive to get to them. I still stuck with them. The creativity of their workout circuits, along with their constructive feedback and familial feeling of the way instructors and clients interact, makes Prime a critical part of my fitness and overall wellness routine. I let my guard down about a year ago and got to the heaviest I had been - 200 lbs - mainly because I wasn't going as often and not eating as well as I could have. Over the past year, with more consistent attendance (3-4 times a week) and calorie tracking, I've been in the 170s consistently for the past few months and maintaining this healthy weight with a better muscle-to-fat ratio, thanks to Prime. Thank you Eric, Christy, Ashley and Matt!!!

Per the contract you have to wear a "uniform." What that uniform is, is not specified but you can assume it's a Soldierfit shirt. If you intend to workout often, 5 days or more a week, you have to wash the same shirt everyday or risk being admonished or have your membership terminated without a refund ( meaning you have to pay in full If you have a 6 month or year membership). Or you're simply unhygienic and wear a sweaty shirt multiple days in a row. The own Steve stated I could purchase more shirts, which is ridiculous given I'm paying 129 a month. Providing new members with three shirts to start off would be more reasonable but as I mentioned the gym is money focused not patron focused. In general, the workouts are okay but the atmosphere is very lackluster and better suited for ppl looking to learn how to workout rather than ppl with fitness or an athletic backgrounds. Patrons can also be distracting as they often will ask me what to do instead of the instructor. This is okay from time to time but can be burdensome to ppl looking to focus in on their own goals and workout. Overall, I regret signing a year contract and will be be very cautious when dealing with any future contracts with uniform requirements that could impact or promote poor hygiene. Note, Rockville is a more fast pace athletic gym so there are alternatives. Gaithersburg is a very small gym and the instructor I met was not attentive or appreciative of my time when I met with him for a consultation. Note, Gaithersburg offered me a 90 dollar rate but Clarksburg charged me 129, once again showing how money centric the owner of Clarksburg is.

For approximately an hour, you put your phone away, unplug, and take instructions from fantastic motivators who encourage you to do your best. I came into this after much hesitation, and after a neck surgery that left me demoralized, thinking I can never achieve much. What surprised me, and what continues to do so, is how much I look forward to it-- 3 months later. Don't underestimate how a stronger core can help you in your every day life. You walk straighter, and you feel power in your legs and your muscles that boosts your self confidence. But more importantly, you get an hour of pure adrenaline, away from the world, just focusing on yourself. In this day and age, we all need it, and that's what OTF gives you. I haven't been to other studios, but the coaches in Clarksburg are some of the nicest and most supportive people I have ever known to work in a gym environment. Someone knew how to build that team, and we are all so very grateful. Shannon, Peter, Joe, Stephanie, Courtney, Penni, and Jen (and others)-- they each bring something different, but they are all awesome. You walk out feeling good about yourself, and also laughing, because why not? And did I mention that everyone knows your name? Just do yourselves a favor and try Orangetheory in Clarksburg. Completely Fit is exactly what you'll get with Karen. If you are looking for long term fitness, if…read moreyou are trying to fix nagging injuries, if you are just needing someone to move you safely and effectively to the next level of fitness, Karen will get you there. She will find your weaknesses and problems and ensure they get corrected. Trust me, you have weaknesses and movement problems and you can't hide them from Karen. You will have 100% of her attention on every motion you make during your workout. You will learn correct form and how to use the correct muscles for all functional movements. Your workouts are based on your needs and goals. Karen has cutting edge training knowledge. I was experiencing HIIT long before you saw it discussed in a health magazine. If you are a teen trying to improve fitness to make a team, if you have bad knees and are hoping to avoid replacement, if you are just trying to stay healthy and fit and injury free, then Karen can help you get there whether you are 15 or 75. It doesn't matter what your level of fitness is, Karen will make you fitter. When I started with Karen, I was a mess. I was in chronic back pain from an injury and I thought I was reasonably fit because I ran half marathons. Physical therapy had been a total failure and a big waste of my time and money. I was frustrated and stuck, but "everyone" says if you have back pain, you need to be stronger. Seemed reasonable, but I was worried that using the wrong training could make a bad problem worse. I did a bunch of research looking for a qualified trainer to help me build strength. I knew enough to know that most trainers hanging out a shingle did not have the level of knowledge and expertise to help me. I needed someone who knew more than I did. Found the Completely Fit site, liked what I saw and scheduled an interview. I had no idea that for the most part, I held and moved my body incorrectly. I had no core strength (ok, I knew this). My balance was terrible. My posture was bad. I had little flexibility. I was feeling much older than my age after that review! Yikes! Karen devised a plan and I started working. It was slow going at first as you can't untangle that kind of a mess and relearn how to move in a month. Correct physical training involves your brain as much or more than your body. Most shocking outcome, I "grew" 1/2 inch from untightening back muscles compressing my spine and I have abs without ever doing a sit-up. I continue to work with Karen as I know I won't challenge myself as she will. I'm still a work in progress. She quietly pushes me much farther than I would ever push myself. I'm stronger. I'm flexible. And most important, I can move my body correctly and mostly pain free. Completely Fit.

In April 2011 I decided to make a change…read more Why I did this - - A trip to my doctor brought news of high blood pressure (borderline medication); high cholesterol (the bad kind); over a healthy weight (minimum 10 lb. loss required); and an inflamed liver... - I was losing my natural ability to multi-task and remain focused while still achieving my desired results across the multiple projects I was working on - It was becoming increasingly difficult to get up and get my day started as my nights were restless and sleep was limited What I did - - Worked out twice a week with Grant Hill of MyBootcamp with less focus on cardio and more attention to sculpting the entire body with tools such as TRX Suspension Training and Rip Trainer, a fire hose, sledge hammer, and a 60 lb. tire - After the first month I added in a weekly spinning class and either pilates or yoga to keep my body challenged - Read books like Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson and Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes re-educating myself and challenging what conventional wisdom tells us about what we should eat - Treats are certainly allowed but for the most part I eliminated grains -- wheat, oats, barley, rice, corn, flax, etc. -- and avoided processed foods, anything with sugar What I didn't do - - Give up my wine -- this wasn't a suicide mission - Count calories -- I ate every time I was hungry - Excessive cardio -- focus was on strength training with occasional bursts of cardio - Avoid egg yolks and red meat as you are usually advised when watching cholesterol -- I ate more that I did previously What did I get after three months? - Dropped 20 lbs. - Lower blood pressure eliminating the need for medication - Lower bad cholesterol, back in the safe zone ...and my liver returned to normal. That was over a year ago and I'm still 20 lbs lighter than when I started - AND my last physical has me still in great health! Working with Grant was a life changing experience for me. His kind nature and genuine care for his clients is evident in how he advises and trains each individual. It wasn't just me! I've had a half dozen friends work with Grant after watching my transformation and the chain keeps growing - Love it :)

If you're looking to get harder,…read morebetter, faster, stronger in the most efficient and functional way possible - MyBootcamp is it. I first met Grant at his indoor cycling classes at Revolve, and his rides were and always are mentally and physically tough. I had started to build up my endurance and strength through cycling, but the thought of trying out MyBootcamp was still intimidating. I mean, c'mon - I saw pictures of MyBootcampers pulling tires, slamming firehoses, and tossing sandbags. I thought I wouldn't survive my first session last March, but afterward I actually felt like a complete badass. I whipped that firehose and learned how to properly do kettlebell swings, among other things. Plus I was the only girl there (thanks Matteo, Rob, and Neal for letting me kick your butts that day :). (Side note: most sessions are filled with fit, athletic and attractive ladies, so all the single men in DC should definitely sign up... just sayin' ;) ) Four months later and I'm incredibly proud of how strong I've become because of MyBootcamp. Grant and Chris have taught me how to really push myself mentally and physically. They know exactly when and how to push me to get past my comfort zone, and because of that, my endurance/strength/mobility levels are at the highest they've ever been. Now I'm addicted to improving those levels with each workout, and my two favorite "Grant-isms" that stick with me every time are 1) There is never perfection, only progress; and 2) Being strong is only good if it's actually useful. Other things that I love about MyBootcamp? I love that the workouts are outdoors; I love the camaraderie; I love the new mobile app which makes managing your MyBootcamp addiction even easier; and most importantly, I love how much Grant and his team care about you. Thank you, Grant and the MyBootcamp team - I couldn't be more thankful.
