    Sushi for 3

Delicious and quick sushi meal! Perfect meal for three people. You do have to order through QR code!

I was craving sushi and so my boyfriend and I went to Tomo Sushi for a quick and light dinner. This was our first time at Tomo. Tomo Sushi is located in the strip mall on 152nd St. It has about 15 tables plus seating at the sushi bar. You order via the QR code at the table. He had already eaten, and so we only ordered a couple of dishes. We ordered the BLACK PEPPER TUNA (+$16.95 for a half order, which is 4 pieces) and the SPIDER ROLL (+$10.95 for 6 pieces). The BLACK PEPPER TUNA was excellent. Pricey, but excellent. It came with a sweet and savory sauce and was topped with microgreens. Each piece was generously coated with black pepper and seared to perfection. The SPIDER ROLL was wonderful as well and was just what I was craving. The deep fried snow crab was nice and crunchy and the eel sauce offered the perfect sweet contrast to the otherwise savory roll. All the fish was fresh and the sushi just melted in my mouth. If I was hungrier, I also would've ordered one of their chef special rolls such as the Salmon King Roll or the Spicy Girl Roll which has spicy tuna, spicy mayo, cucumber, and avocado (they also have the Spicy Boy Roll which is the same roll but with salmon). Service was great and we got our food relatively quick after ordering (note that it was a weekday at 5pm and there were only a couple of other people eating there). There were a handful of people who came to pick up takeout though. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but the interior and bathroom are modern and clean. Overall: 5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

Wow such a pleasant surprise stopped in for lunch and the special 2 rolls was amazing and super fresh. The 1 dollar add on for miso soup such a treat! Will be coming again for sure!

Tomo sushi has been our regular date night restaurant since it opened. All of the employees are very nice especially the owners. We have brought so many out of town guests and everyone has always been impressed. The food is great. Our favorite way to spoil ourselves is with the Nigiri and Sashimi platter. Look at the presentation. Also we tried the A5 wagyu tonight and it melted in our mouth. Absolutely delicious!

GLUTEN-FREE PEEPS!! THEY HAVE TAMARI! Solid neighborhood sushi with that welcoming, family-owned vibe. Good service, reasonable prices, and clean booths. The favorite part of our meal BY FAR was the Cajun Salmon nigiri ($8.50 for 2 pcs). It's a seared salmon nigiri with some delicious, smoky, savory seasoning on top. Definitely recommend trying this if you normally like seared salmon!!! Also enjoyed: Plain Sunomono Hulk Roll Godzilla Roll Spicy Yellowtail Roll Salmon Roe nigiri Bluefin Tuna nigiri Creamy Scallop nigiri Miso Soup Plenty of parking spots along this shopping strip in Burien. Will be back for more Cajun Salmon nigiri!

Wow!!! Five star sushi! 1. Perfectly rolled 2. Rice to fish ratio 1 to 3! Extraordinary! 3. Excellent service Overall, a great, high quality place! This is my 2nd time here, and I mean. Just look at these photos!!!

Decided to try Tomo sushi after a friend recommended this place . Surprisingly reasonably priced and one of the best places for sushi. Located in Burien which is the last place I would ever think of to look for sushi . The sushi rice doesn't overpower which is a plus for me. I will definitely go again

I love all the food here, especially sushi they are a lot less rice than most places. The cooked food are also very yummy. I pretty much can eat food from here everyday! My favorite that I ordered often is Spider roll (even though my kids are really worried that I eat spider!!)

i came in here with my friend on a friday, a little after 4pm which was right when they opened again. the place was dimly lit which created a nice quiet ambiance, and we were the first and only customers there for a while. we checked their menu which was through a QR code and settled on 5 items, we got the seafood sunomono, spider roll, deluxe roll, salmon king roll, and the winter roll. they also served complimentary edamame which is nice! when the food arrived, i thought the seafood sunomono was subpar, the description of the order is exactly what you'll get, but i won't dock points down for my own decision. everything else was good but i will say the pickled radish of the winter roll was overpowering, however, i found that eating most of the radish until only one layer was wrapped around everything inside, was the perfect balance for me.

We are thrilled that Tomo Sushi is open for dine in now! We did take away orders during the pandemic, but now get to sit inside and have orders flung at us one after the next. That's probably the best part - you can bring up your menu and tab from your phone and just order as you see fit based on your appetite and current fullness level. The go-to plates are the veggie gyoza and OMG salmon. Whatever seasoning is on that salmon is out of this world. There are a variety of rolls, and we keep going back to try new ones. The Buddha Roll and Futomaki are solid staples that shouldn't be missed, but there are no wrong answers when it comes to the options at Tomo. I would love to see a rice bowl added to the menu, but it isn't anything that will keep me from going again and again. Give me all the red snapper sashimi and I'll be happy.

The table wait was minimal and totally acceptable. The room was simple (a good thing), and the restaurant's popularity made for a busy but relaxed atmosphere. Our greeter/server was efficient and polite. The sushi was surprising good! Perfectly cooked sushi-rice, and well proportioned topping of fish and other ingredients made for enjoyable bites. The sushi chefs are well trained and talented. Definitely recommend sampling their selections of sushi. You won't be disappointed. Five stars for this. Now for the grill part. Yakisoba is usually a grill item, as it's a stir-fried noodle dish, with it's distinctive Japanese flavor profile, and ingredients. Unfortunately, this was a miss. Though the soy-sauce coloring was correct, the flavor profile was not. The amount of beef in it was acceptable, but the other components were a miss. The only vegetable component was shaved-like slices of small zucchini which I could count with one hand. That seemed to treated more like a garnish, than a component of the dish. Had the grill-cook finished it with a drizzle of tonkatsu-sauce, it would've been closer to what was suggested on the menu. They should rename it "pan-fried beef-noodles" instead. Sure wasn't Beef Yakisoba. Other than that, table-side service was excellent, and the sushi was first rate. Just not the "yakisoba", cuz it wasn't. I will upgrade and edit this review if a few things are fixed.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

We could have split one chicken teriyaki and had leftovers! I had no idea how much food was included! For $17, it's a great deal, especially considering food everywhere seems so expensive these days. The shrimp teriyaki included 10 large pieces, which again I thought was really generous. The portions were large but it was also delicious. I preferred the shrimp teriyaki. It was sweeter than the spicy chicken and the shrimp was delicious. The spicy chicken teriyaki was still so good! The highlight was actually the gyoza. They were light and not too greasy, meaning I ate way too many! I wish I lived closer because this would be a regular for me! But I'm glad I got a great recommendation for a great meal.

I asked for a spice ball for the soup on the side. The soup was rich and creamy as the name suggested. The pork chashu was average at best. It lacked flavor and color. The noodles were thick and al dente and absorbed the broth very well. I would not recommend mixing the tempura flakes into the broth as it makes them soggy and they no longer have the crunchy texture to contrast the noodles. For tempura I got a steamed egg tempura, shrimp tempura, and potato tempura. The egg tempura definitely reined supreme. Would heavily recommend a tempura sauce which they happened to run out with today. The vegetable tempuras were all bland. Would not recommend. If you do get the tempuras, eat them before the main dish so the richness of the main dish doesn't ruin the delicate flavor of the tempura. Atmosphere: 9/10 Tables were cleaned and bussed regularly.
