Blazing 2. Dancing Salmon Burrito
Susanna L.

Friends have been eating here forever but I've been skeptical.. cause sushi in the mall....? Finally I got to try it and omg it was sooo yummy I had to go back and get my own one!! Got the dancing salmon with unagi sauce... every bite is fresh, savory/ umami and it all just went so well together!! I always hesitate when I see "salmon poke" because I don't like the spicy flavor (I can eat spicy but I just don't I like that flavor for poke, siracha mayo etc) but the salon didn't have that taste here! Or the other stuff covered it well It's $16 for a roll which feels a bit pricey for something so small but it's protein, veggies, carbs all in one!

I had to walk the food court a couple times before I settled on trying this spot. It had no line when I stopped by and the guy who made the order was pretty helpful. We ended up getting a bowl and a burrito. The bowl was so so, I think could be tastier with different sauces however the portions were fantastic for the fish, I even second guessed myself on if maybe I should order less LOL. I wish there were more sides added to the bowl without having to ask for more. However, the burrito was delicious and everything about it was just right. I especially appreciated that the menu let you know what was gluten free and what wasn't. I hadn't stopped by this mall in a very long time since we live far but I'll have to remember this place next time I want some poke for the burrito.

I've been here multiple times and it's a healthier, fresher alternative to other mall foods. I like the bowls the most because you can get a hefty portion if you choose a lot of toppings/veggies, which are unlimited. I like to get the fish eggs, edamame, corn, carrots, onion, and seaweed salad. I also want to mention their crispy onion topping is amazing, because they stay crunchy even after you mix everything together. There's only two sauces: spicy Mayo and eel sauce. They used to put the sauce on for you but in my most recent visit, the sauce came in a separate container so you can control the amount used. My only complaint is I wish there was more flavor. It's all pretty bland and I'd like a more complex flavor profile. The spicy Mayo is spicy and the eel sauce is sweet but that's sort of it, imo

It seemed like management changed the last time we visited this place at the mall. Prices definitely also increased and portion sizes got cut down! Definitely noticeable! Food still tastes good, but can feel a big difference in flavor as well. Not sure if they're limiting the ingredients, but I feel like something is missing whenever I get a Sushi Burrito or a Bowl.

My daughter and enjoyed the poke bowl! We were able to get the type of protein (tuna, salmon, etc) and pick the veggies with them. It was so easy to order and select what you want. The kitchen area and where they prepare the food is clean. The server who prepped our bowl was not welcoming, but other than that, we enjoyed the food.

There's nothing bad to say about this place. It was just alright. Came here after a little shopping in the evening and I was surprised to be in a line for it. Must be to build a line. And it was just okay. The line moved a bit slow and there was only two people working there. So it was definitely busy for these two. So this works kind like a Chipotle assembly line joint. You pick what style you want: sushi burrito, poke bowl, or salad bowl. Then you pick your meats. And then you add whatever free topping you want. A lot of poke places function the same way, so I'm familiar with this process. Nothing too new or innovative about this place. Standard items and process. When it came to the meats, the raw fish can look a bit suspicious, but I guess it's fine since I have gotten sick or died from it yet. The avocado can be questionable too. But again, I am alive. The free toppings were whatever and fine. I got a sushi burrito and it was pretty messy to eat. I definitely would recommend just getting the poke bowl style to avoid having a mess in your hands. It was nice trying it out here, but I've had better. If you're looking for a lite meal at the food court, sure, give this a shot. Doesn't hurt trying once. Well maybe it will, but like I said earlier, I'm alive and well, so you should be fine.

o v e r a l l: 3/5 If you're looking for a quick place to satisfy your sushi craving after shopping 'til you drop, this is the place for you. w h a t d i d I t r y ? * rice bowl with sushi rice, crab salad, shrimp tempura, avocado, and spicy mayo: 3/5 I wanted to try a burrito, but they were not making burritos so I got a rice bowl. I love poke bowls so I was hoping my sushi bowl would taste similar. The bowl was not bad, but it's not something I would see myself ordering again. The biggest downside to the bowl was the soggy rice. p r i c e: 3/5 I paid around $16 for the sushi bowl. For that price, I would rather spend a few more dollars at a poke place where I'd get more for my money. s e r v i c e: 4/5 The employees were kind despite it being close to closing. I've worked in food and retail so I appreciate that they were still friendly despite probably being tired from a long day of work. a t m o s p h e r e: 3/5 This place is located in the food court in Southcenter Mall so the vibes are of your typical food court. There is a lot of seating available, which is nice. p a r k i n g: 5/5 Located in Southercenter, I rarely have trouble finding parking. r a t i n g b r e a k d o w n 1: never ever again... 2: not very good, but at least something went right 3: average. 4: yummy, but something was lacking 5: everything was perfect! I highly recommend checking out Sushi Burrito inside South Center's food court. I ordered the California Roll and it was super filling. The burrito pairs perfectly with the eel sauce. It was busy when I came but the food was still made quickly.

Not a bad place for lunch! IJ Sushi is located in the food court and offers a Subway like experience...but with sushi! I was bummed when Traperitos closed, but this IJ fills the void pretty well. This place has been on my bookmarks for a very long time, but it was finally the day when I swamped at work and needed something super quick & easy for lunch -- fits the bill! The first time I go to a new place I typically like to try things as seen on the menu just to get their vibe and then customize things on future visits. I opted to get a vegan roll...with spicy mayo because obviously. Initial impressions? I kinda hate the box it comes in. The way it opens means that I had to tip it to retrieve my delicious burrito...and now my desk is messy. Pause to grab a plate from the kitchen. The burrito itself was quite good! I definitely have a better veggie burrito idea floating around in my head, and I wish they had some more vegetarian friendly options, but it was still a great lunch! If I were to order "as is" again I would at least ask for extra tofu. The very ends of the burrito kinda fell apart and required a fork (and yet another trip to the kitchen!), but in overall it was properly rolled and held together well while being mostly clean to the point I could continue to get some of my work done - love that! Nothing fancy (it's in a mall food court, afterall!), but it's one of the heathier quick food options and is a great place for a quick bite!

Sumo crunch
Huong L.

We were in the mall and wanted to grab a quick bite for lunch before heading to our main event. This place satisfied the craving. We ordered the sumo crunch burrito which is tempura shrimp as the protein. Everything was decent, you get the crunch from the shrimp and the flavor was ok. Nothing really stood out though. They did give you a couple of sauces but you don't really need them. Price was ok as well.

Snow Crab Sushiritto (added avocado) about $12 with tax

I love Sushirittos and this place hits the nail on the head. Fast, fresh, delicious, PACKED with ingredients. Cute packaging to boot. I love that the rice layer is thin and you can pick what you do and don't want in your burrito. Ordered a snow crab with avocado added (about $12 with Tax). It was perfection. Located in the mall food court.

Who says fusion cuisine isn't a good idea? Love the concept of sushi and burrito. Mexican cuisine and Sushi are definitely cousins for sure. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The sign caught my eye right away. Ordered a melon ramune with dancing Salmon Burrito and Takoyaki. The flavors are absolutely impressive. The right amount of acid, fish, and other accoutrements. The takoyaki is like a Japanese calamari that is very innovative for sure. For mall court food I absolutely love this. If I have to nit pick I just prefer sit down atmosphere over mall court but the food and staff are fantastic still. Please check this place out.

This was my first sushi burrito. All ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The burrito was huge. Lots of available options. Great customer service.

This spot was recommended to me by a friend. The interior of the restaurant was warm and very decorated. There were a lot of Hawaiian cultural references, which added to the ambiance. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. And despite it being super busy the day that I went, they were all patient with each customer. I had a few samples of their fish, and let me tell you, the fish is FRESH. I am usually picky with tuna because they tend to have a fishy taste, but Ono's tuna was NOT fishy at all. Also, all the different flavors of poké were seasoned PERFECTLY. I got the spicy salmon and the scallop poke. They were both buttery and tender. The flavors did not overtake the natural flavor of the fish, and the sauce was seeped deep into the salmon; the same goes for the scallop. Sometimes at poké restaurants the sauce will sit on top of the fish, but NOT HERE. This place is genuinely SO SO good. I highly recommend coming to this place and trying their poké! + This place is so good that I am willing to make the trip out to this place if I am ever back in this state.

Another tough pill to swallow is the prices being a bit higher but again, somewhat justified with high quality, decent quantity, and overall delicious. Their rotating menu keeps things interesting but it sucks when a favorite fish isn't available for that week! Ample parking because it's located in a large plaza, but may have to park a little further away in the plaza because of the amount of people. They also have a Kingston shop, so both locations are convenient across the ferry.

Amazing price, generous portion, excellent quality. Unagyu don (4/5) This bowl has a mix of tender beef and eel and it's quite heavy on the sauce. I wouldn't say it's very salty but it is saucy and you need to mix it with the rice properly to balance it out. The portion is generous and it is very filling. Not bad but I'd go for the chirashi every time.

Georgetown has some nice hidden gems and I would consider this one of them... just good,…read moreno-nonsense Japanese rice bowls of comfort. If you're a fan of Red Bowl in Financial District, this place has a similar vibe with its approach to rice bowls. Having been here twice on different weeks, I think this will become one of my go-to places in the area when I'm craving fresh seafood on a weekend south of downtown. LOGISTICS Parking is convenient for Georgetown area, given they have a dedicated lot for customers of businesses in the area. Entering in, you order through the kiosk and if you're dining in, you can seat yourself and they'll bring the order to you. The space is small for larger groups but if you're 4 people or less, generally there are tables available on off peak hours (at least what we observed Sat/Sun). Ordering happens at the kiosk, which you can choose for takeout or to dine in. Keep in mind there are some items available for dine-in only (ex. udon or seared salmon bowls), but if you plan on doing takeout anyways you can order online or call ahead for pickup. Note - they do close at 2:30 pm but re-open at 4:30 pm. So long as you get your order in by 2:30 pm they'll still service you... which was nice since the last two times we came in around 2:00 PM. FOOD First off, they have nice nice presentation both in how the food is arranged and the bowls they use when dining in. From the ceramic/decorative bowls to the trays they use... it's the little things that add to the dining experience and make you think a business cares about its food. (Note: there was one time we had initially ordered togo but decided to eat in person; so they kept the food in plastic bowls for one of my photos.) In every bowl we had during our two visits, the rice was excellent! We've had some terrible rice at other donburi places before where it can be too overcooked or too mushy. Fortunately their seasoned rice was a good texture and tasty to eat on its own. The seafood was also excellent for the price / quality - fresh tasting with a melt-in-your mouth texture. Volcano Bowl: Spicy salmon + spicy crab salad w/ masago - despite the description it wasn't too spicy (siracha mayo) but it went really well with the rice, like a deconstructed sushi roll. I liked mixing in some wasabi to give it a stronger kick. Aburi Sake Bowl (seared salmon bowl): This is only available to order for dine-in; if you love salmon... I would recommend this one. Seared salmon is delicious seafood umami. I liked how the salmon had the right amount of fattiness too. Chirashi Bowl: If you like variety, then this is an excellent bowl to try a little bit of everything. I was amused that they also included unagi (I don't think I see that in most chirashi bowls). Even the shrimp, which is usually my least favorite part of chirashi bowls, tasted good with a slight sweetness. OVERALL Awesome place and a good location for the area given there's parking available. Price was just right for the quality (I'm amused how much cheaper good seafood is here in Seattle compared to the Bay Area) and the staff were really friendly. There are also two excellent bouldering gyms nearby (Castle Climbing Club and Momentum)... so if you're looking to recharge after a climbing session, I would highly recommend coming here!

There are no bells and whistles here, just excellent service, fair prices, and fantastic food. There are only a handful of tables, which is really meant for solo diners and two people at best. There is a handful of takeout patrons at any given time, but that's only because of the wait. It's far more enticing to sit in and experience the magic that exists in every bowl. Water is self-serve and thankfully presented in a filtered water tank that spits out cold, delicious water. A majority of the bowls are between $13-16 each, which in today's foodflation economy seems expected. The good news is that the portion is substantial in every bowl. My go-to is their chirashi, which is roughly $19 but features a nice array of fish cuts that include salmon, chopped fatty tuna, masago, fresh water eel, shrimp with albacore and another dose of tuna. The unagi don is their most expensive bowl at nearly $21, but the broiled unagi with the eel sauce that is dynamite. The textures, the sweetness, and the size is all on point. And due to its status as a teriyaki city, I think the chicken teri don is an excellent alternative to all the seafood. The teriyaki hits all the right flavor notes, with just enough sweetness with the tenderness of the chicken meat. Add in another $1 and it's a spicy version. I so wish there was something like this in my neck of the woods. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a weekly destination. I'm already looking forward to my next visit(s).
