Omakase, karage, Edamam, west Seattle roll, super star roll
    Mark M.

Great place if you're feeling a special roll! Located in the middle of West Seattle, this is my go-to when I'm craving sushi and don't feel like crossing the bridge. There is free parking on the street and a few spots in the back of the building. My very good friend took me here on a whim because we were craving sushi one night, but didn't want to leave the area. The service is good, nothing over the top, but nothing that anyone should complain about. It has a intimate feel like the restaurants you would find in Japan, but individual tables. It's great for parties that are less than 4. For appetizers, I always get the seaweed salad, edamame, and karage, cant go wrong with these, they're hard to get wrong and will pop out pretty quickly. All delicious! For rolls, keep in mind that the specialty rolls are larger than your average. I recently tried the West Seattle Roll, mainly for the fact that we are in West Seattle and I was curious. It was good, very filling, I could only finish 4-5 pieces. Another roll, I would recommend is the spider roll, it's just what you would expect, but a larger than other places I've been to in the past. Overall, highly recommend, I would say call in ahead of time to see how busy it is because the limited seating, but well worth the wait and price. Kanpai!

Small sushi spot. We tried the lobster roll and it came out with a fun tower! I would not recommend the Calamari though. Atmosphere is small and family oriented. Our rolls were pretty good, nothing crazy amazing though, especially for Seattle.

My wife and I had a great date night here. I often find myself still hungry after sushi spots. And when you're spending $60-$100 +, you would hope to be full! Didn't have that problem here! The rolls are on the bigger side, fish is great quality, the sauces are on point, and we left beyond satisfied. The place itself is small though so on a busy weekend night, expect some wait time standing huddled around the servers because they don't really have a "waiting area" lol. Part of the experience I guess but I love this place

This is my second visit - it has been fresh and delicious both times. The inside is small and intimate. It is clean and the service is great! Last time the street parking proved to be difficult, this visit I found a spot just a few doors down.

A very delicious sushi shop located in west Seattle on California avenue. They had a variety of classics, sashimi, special rolls and even vegan rolls. We ordered some yellowtail sashimi, spicy tuna roll, vegan red roll and the ultra albacore roll. Everything was fresh and they provided us with lots of ginger and wasabi (which was requested when we ordered). The special rolls and vegan rolls were a bit pricey but worth it! Apparently it is also woman owned!

This small, local sushi restaurant is located in West Seattle (California x Admiral Way). There is a small, shared parking lot in the back of the restaurant. You are also able to enter through the back door from the parking lot to get inside of the restaurant instead of walking around to the front. It was a bit awkward doing that, but it seemed normal to have customers do that. Our group was a group of three and we were seated right away. I ordered the Sushi Omaskase Plate, which is served with a salad and miso soup. This comes with chef's choice of eight pieces of nigiri. Not the traditional way of how omaskase is done, but it was still a good presentation. I also ordered the Seared Salmon roll. I was surprised how full I got off of these two items. We also ordered two appetizers to share between the group, Oyster Tempura and Takoyaki. The Oyster Tempura was okay, not what I expected, but it was good. The Takoyaki was pretty standard. Pretty solid spot with fresh fish in West Seattle, which is convenient if you are in the area and don't want to go to the heart of Seattle!

Best sushi in West Seattle. Big portions, nirigi and the rolls were executed well, and all for a very reasonable price. - their Chu toro was excellent. Loved their seared sake. Melts in your mouth and super flavorful. The place is cozy but small- so there is often a line. But it is worth the wait. Favorite: Irashai roll Uni nigiri Sushi omakase.

This sushi spot has been my husband and I's favorite sushi spot for years, and everyone we have taken has LOVED it as well! We always receive great customer service from the hosts and servers, and the sushi is consistently amazing. I love the intimate setting and ambiance of this restaurant. It has beautiful Japanese art and a gorgeous chandelier! It's THE BEST SUSHI!!! Some of our favorites to order are the baked lobster roll (that's the one on the descending display), kiss of fire (the one with jalapeños), the Tiger roll, the west Seattle, and the Scallop Fantasia. This place will not disappoint you! Just make sure to check their open times and days before you go, because it's not open 7 days a week.

Chef selection sushi set - highly recommend!

This was a local sushi restaurant that was nearby when I was visiting the West Seattle area and I decided to try out some of their advertised sets (highlighted in pictures on their menu). I enjoyed the sashimi set the most as the fish was incredibly fresh and tender. The service was quick, fast, and the waitress was incredibly kind as she helped us get all of our food. The restaurant itself was quiet, clean, and it seemed like a place where many small groups or people on dates tend to go. I'd come back here again for the sashimi set and for the sushi set.

I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi. I hope someone catches this concept in San Diego! It's so clever. Love it and would love to come back again.
