Always a great sandwich shop, but had the philly and asked for mushrooms on the side, not only was told it wasn't an option was actually verbally challenged and called rude by the owner for asking. Disappointing, after having a couple of the workers gang up on me, I asked for my money back and was told it was too late. They were so rude, when they had an opportunity to be easy and flexible. The banh mi was excellent. I'm normally an Italian sub kind of person for everywhere I go, but the banh mi caught my eye and I had to try it. It was well worth the change up. I only wish we had Tommy's in Arvada. read more

I've been eating at Tommy's since I was a kid. I've seen it go through 3 owners; starting with Tommy himself. Even though it's had several owners the quality has stayed the same. It's fantastic, maybe even better now than in the past I love the meatball, but sometimes I just need a cheese steak. Sometimes I get 6 inches of both. My only complaint is that the grilled bread in the meatball sometimes cuts the corners of my mouth. It's great food, and I love to support local businesses. read more

We have been going to Tommy's for years and it has always been our favorite sub shop in Littleton. But with the new owners the sandwiches are hit or miss. Of the last 3 times we have ordered their subs, 2 times the sandwiches were not good at all. (Very dry bread, not much mayo, very little peppers, not much meat, and not toasted. And given the wrong sandwich in our order the last time.). We will go back but very disappointing when you never know if you'll get a good sandwich or one that is really not that good. read more

The place serves food with good quality ingredients that are way better than Subway. Today, I got a cheesesteak for the first time. Having owned a restaurant and having made thousands of cheesesteaks, I'm quite the connoisseur. First off, the steak meat and mushrooms were tasty and tender, chopped and seasoned to skilled perfection. The cheese wasn't mixed in, but more sitting on top. I prefer the creaminess of American cheese mixed in to my cheesesteaks. However, if I may suggest, put your cut roll on the grill as the steak is cooking to warm it up and add crunchiness. I guarantee you'll sell even more of them! Next time I come in, I'll ask you to warm up my roll on the grill. read more

Normally they are content on taking our order for pick up over the phone, we travel from the MTN.S for there sandwich. Today they refused our service for pick up over the phone. They said it was " first come first serve" Extremely rude on the phone. There was 2 ladies that ran the sub shop a few years ago, and they were very nice. Where do you start? Coming from the east coast, land of the deli, and since 2001, always hunting for a great sandwich, I feel lucky to have found Tommy's subs. Today is Wednesday and I called in sick to work. I usually have Monday's and Sunday's off which is unfortunate because Tommy's is closed those days so I have zero access. Sitting on the couch at 1:30 hungry and uninspired it dawned on me I could get a Tommy's sub. It literally made my day and like a child I ran out the door and hopped in the car and soon enough was in sandwich heaven. I have only ever had the Italian but can imagine from the loyal crowd that everything they offer is just as great. No matter who makes the sandwich the product is always consistent. I would recommend this joint to anyone and it is certainly worth going out of the way to stop by. Enjoy and thank you Tommy's for doing it and doing it well. read more

Yeah this place is legit. I used to not like dealing with the tude, but they are getting better. Still don't agree with high maintenance charge for removing items you don't want on you sub. Best sandwich this side of town. read more

We have driven by this sub shop many times, and finally had time for lunch. It has the feel of a hoagie type store, not your "chain" fast food sub shop. That was fine. Only problem I had was the bread. The bread is huge, its just too much, and don't really get that much in the way of meats. But if you love a lot of Bread in your sandwich, then you can get the 5 stars, but for me, it was not. Hope that helps in your search for a sub shop. read more

I Have lived in the area about 6 years and have visited Tommy's Subs about 4 times. Every time they seem to be very grumpy, like I have inconvenienced them by coming in. They also have a lot of negative signs "Be nice or leave" "Only one refill" "no muddy shoes". Just overall negative, what gives guys?? With all the glowing reviews for this place, it feels not quite right not to chime in with how great this place is. But I gotta speak the truth: this sub shop made the worst couple of subs I and my friend have ever had the misfortune of tasting. My buddy, an amateur mechanic, was driving up from Highlands Ranch to help me out with my motorcycle. He thought he might swing by this highly reviewed sub shop for an Italian and a Philly Cheese Steak. Good god, were they bad. He told me they stunk up the car so bad he considered chucking them out the window as a special treat for the critters of the night. Both sandwiches were essentially a giant block of 2nd-grade bread lined with a sampling of unappetizing mush--more so the PCS, which was so awful that we fed it, the meat part, to his golden retriever, who eats anything. Well, she wouldn't touch this. Smart girl. But we felt bad letting meat go to waste, so we mixed it with some dry food and she finally went for it. And no, in case you're wondering, she did not get sick. But still, good on her for forcing it down. We told her that the Yelp reviews were generally stellar, but she remained unimpressed. The Philly Cheese came with a pitiful little container of what tasted like underseasoned, storebought pizza sauce and a smaller container of a brunoise of pepperoncinis. I guess these are the magic peppers everyone raves about. You've got to be kidding. Here's the kicker: this meat mystery on a bread slab cost...wait for it...wait for it...around 13 bucks! Yep. That's right. More than 12 bucks for one 12-inch sub. (That's a buck an inch, if I've done my math right.) 13 bucks for a sub? Ok, but if you're going to charge that much, make sure it's the best sub in the country, not the rejected smelly lunchroom hot slop on a massive bun abomination that these guys dare to call sandwiches. They've got, like, 10 or 12 sandwiches on the menu. That's it. Not a lot to master. Where's the pride? Where's the "Thank you for nearly 30 bucks for a couple of subs, now let me show you what a great sub is supposed to taste like"? Where's the not treating your customers like illiterate rubes? He said the folks who waited on him were nice. But the food, not so much. read more

Great sandwich joint. The Italian loaded with peppers is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It's just a perfect blend and ratio of meats to cheese to veggies to bread. Ohhh and the bread! Heavenly. I always get my Italian warmed up so the mayo and oil melts into the bread, then there's the cool contrast of the crisp, cold veggies. Perfection. Best sub shop in Denver easily. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of their Philly. But when it comes to an Italian sub...Tommy's definitely deserves a sold five star hit. read more

What a great little sub shop! The owners also run the place so they know to take care of their customers. The place has changed hands a few times over the years but a bunch of us that have lived here for a while really think these guys are going a great job of earning the goodwill that the Tommy's name has established for years. I usually eat the Roast Beef and Chedder or the Philly. My wife loves the Italian sub. Sometimes it can take a few extra minutes to get food during the rush-hours, but its worth it! (I clicked Outdoor Seating in the tips - but only in good weather of course. Also clicked Good for Groups because its a perfect place for a group order for sports night!) read more
