They carry mens, womens clothing, accessories like jewelry, scarves, totes, footwear, hats and even sun chairs and coolers. I recently ordered on line for hub's fathers day and birthday gifts. I had noticed the increasing girth of his midsection so I bought a few t shirts and a couple aloha shirts one size up. Today we had to return them to the Ala Moana store since we had another appointment in town. Two of the employees who helped us were so professional and the transactions went smoothly to credit back to my charge card. Hubs claims they were too big.( denial) They are always nice here for a quality brand shop, not high maka maka like some that I wouldn't walk into. On 2/20/25 I went to the Waikiki Tommy Bahama store to look at some of the apparel that I seen online. As I entered the store everyone greeted me with a friendly smile but, there was this one man that truly stood out. His name was Ryan. I asked him if he had a particular sweater I seen online so he helped me look for it but, there was none so he told me he can order it and have it to the store. He was so helpful and kind. He ended up helping me try to find the sizes of 2 jackets and 2 sweatpants. He gave me his opinion as far as what color looked good on me. I really made him go in the back then back on the floor then he went on the phone to order my items. I so appreciated his excellent customer service. There were two gentlemen working at the time, they looked, turned away, no hello, but it's ok; I'm a quiet shopper. I grabbed a few blouses, three dresses, and a lovely woman came from the back and immediately saw I needed help. She made great suggestions and searched for sizes. This sweet lady gave wonderful service that I purchased everything she recommended-no language barrier, soft spoken and intuitive! This is the review for the store located near Target Ala Moana, across from the Face Shop. I just got in on the deal going on: Spend over $150 and get $50 gift card to spend in December. The staff was helpful and steamed the shirt that I bought before putting into the garment bag on a hanger, and on the way out, the mango diffuser oil smelled so YUMMY but for $50, maybe I'll have to use that $50 gift card to get that in December. While this brand is not my style, my husband and guy friends like to wear Tommy Bahama shirts so I'll be coming back. read more

Last year (last trip), I was searching for a dress, which was to be my Valentine's Day gift from my husband. Since I am a fan of the brand (have about ten dresses in my wardrobe), we stopped here. I was looking for a dress so I tried on a few choices and the average dress price was about $90. Sometimes I vary on dress size here; just depends on the cut of the dress. I liked one (it fit me really good) but I didn't love it (you know how it is, you have a gift card somewhere and you are choosing ever so carefully, yeah, exactly, it was like that). We asked the nice sales lady about other locations, but she was still pleasant when we declined the ones I tried on. I just couldn't make up my mind. It was almost like my wedding dress search all over again (but I didn't try on 35 dresses though, so on a much smaller scale). Unlike the stores back home, at the Forum Shops, it's not separated (one for women, one for men), so it was nice to just be in one store, so my husband was able to look around at the men's section. The dressing room was clean and no clothes were dumped on the ground (like some department stores). There was two other couples shopping so the store was relatively quiet and empty. I love the smell of the pineapple candles as you enter the store (not burning). Tommy Bahama is a well-known resort wear brand that does not associate itself with Hawaii, but that doesn't stop many tourists from wearing it there. I'm not poking fun, because I am one of them. I am a fan of the clothing- so is my husband, or he wouldn't have fifty shirts. The copyrighted prints are gorgeous, the silk fabrics are soft, and the designs are equally pretty. Yes, the prices are a little higher than what you want to spend, but there's always the outlet store. read more

I purchase two Al Fresco Tropics Camp Shirts. One black and one white. I have 8 to 10 of Tommy Bahama shirts. Some of 100% silk as are these mentioned above. When I received them I felt something different about the material. I compared them to the 100% silk shirts that I have. I found that the material on these shirts is thinner. I couldn't believe. I purchased them on sale and I paid $ $161.29 for the two shirts. I probably could have gotten a generic similar shirt for a quarter of the price. Beware Tommy Bahama is using a thinner material for the same price. read more

Two points: 1. Not all Tommy Bahama shirts look like that. 2. Their shirts are actually pretty good looking and don't necessarily cater to only older men. I think they look good for guys at any age. The various fabrics they use are usually very light and cool. Their colors will vary from dark to bright. The location here feels like you are visiting Indiana Jones while he is venturing through Fiji kicking it with his buddy Jimmy Buffet and some of his Margaritaville style Tommy Bahama shirts. Meaning that quite a few of their shirts carry the big stitchings of martini glasses and parrots. I think this is why I'm not a big fan of their shirts. Their prices can get kind of expensive also. I'm more into local style prints, but I do like the fabrics that they use. I feel that the prints and styles I do like can be found elsewhere for cheaper. This Tommy Bahama store is located in the huge Ala Moana shopping center. It is a nice size store and the staff was friendly. We picked out a few button down shirts (not the flowery ones, he likes the ones with cigars, motorcycles, or old style pin up girls) for my husband and a couple t-shirts for him and my new brother-in-law. The prices were the same as in the states. T-shirts ran about $32 and the embroidered button down shirts were about $110. At checkout, one of the women wrapped the t-shirt I bought as a gift in a Tommy box with some cool raffia string. read more

We were on the last-minute hunt for a nice off-white aloha shirt that the hubs could get married in. We found it here! It was a beautiful silk with subtle floral print. Apparently this shirt is so perfect for beach weddings that the sales guy said that this shirt is going to be renamed the Hawaii wedding shirt next year. Well, what can I say, there's nothing like a Tommy Bahama silk shirt!!! The buttery feel and the way it flows when you're walking around in one!! If I had my way, I'd wear one everyday!! As for the store, it's a cool place to shop. From pants and shorts, t shirts, women's apparel, jewelry, it's a pleasure shopping here. The merchandise is a bit pricy, but like they say," you get what you pay for ". They also have some neat stuff for your home and outdoors. One thing I haven't seen in one of their stores though, is this cool "retro" looking ice chest on wheels. It even has a bottle opener and tray mounted on the side! It's the coolest of the cool. Omg visited this store today and it was packed. I guess everyone must be exchanging Xmas gifts. Anyhow I was helped by the most rude unprofessional person ever in helping me select my size. I'm not familiar with the brand and he took no care in truly assisting me. Dude like if you don't like working with people then why the heck are you working in retail?? I had trouble finding the right fit and this guy suggested maybe TB wasn't right for me. Granted yeah I could lose a few pounds but the dresses were all kinda tight to my taste. I thought this brand went a little bigger and he hinted I go to this other store in the mall. Walking by I saw the cutest outfit with bling sandals. I went inside looking at all the women's clothing I wanted....then realized the brand! Never in my wildest dreams did I think they had such cute clothes! I always think of Tommy Bahamas as just men's hawaiian shirts. Boy was I surprised. The staff was amazing. They were so nice, friendly and very personable. Their customer service was excellent. I decided to wait, but came back the next day and bought a dress for my birthday dinner. Again the staff was amazing. The manager was there and was very nice and made sure his staff was doing a good job. They were, and an excellent job at that. You can tell they really enjoy their job and it shows. More businesses should have employees as good as this store does because the customer service is hands down perfectly on point! read more

Hats! Hats! And again: more hats! Yep, that's what she wrote. I went through a small millinery moment a summer or two ago, scouring every shop in Honolulu for headgear. It was the year where tourists and locals alike were starting to strut around sporting straw and other classic hats. I waited in line with my cat litter at Safeway Beretania one day, only to find myself with a young Asian guy standing behind me, and an older black (Latino?) gentlemen paying for his groceries ahead, both sporting what looked like trilbys (trilbies?). THIS IS A THING, I thought. So it was like, hat summer. At Tommy B's, I bought a fedora with a weirdly bronze, almost metallic sheen on its straw, little different, yes, but I love it. And also a kind of--I want to say, a mountain hat, like Pharrell's but with less of a prominent silhouette--which I wear whenever I need to add extra oomph to my attitude. It's lighter colored, a more conventional tan, but this, too: j'adore j'adore. Their hats are: solidly made, stylish, and priced reasonably for the quality of craft. The two I got have lasted through a couple of trips to the US continent, including rugged-ish travels through several people-stuffed theme parks in Orlando, at peak tourist season, for my research/writing. They have been smashed, crushed, sat upon ass-first, blown around by forces of nature, and accidentally packed into smushy suitcases. Unlike many of the other hat places in town: they stock multiple sizes. Not a lot, but at least some, for the different styles. They both appear to be cotton and I am guessing the cotton threads are deteriorating to the point they break and holes form. I had a great experience in the store on the big Island and the clerk was a great help but the problems was that she asked for my email address, I said I didn't want to be on the mailing list and she said okay. From that day forward I have received one or more emails per day, I went to my preferences and was not signed up for any of the mailing list and Unsubscribed from all mailings to no avail, I called guest services and complained to them and they promised that I would be removed again to no avail, it has now been 3 months I have emailed them repeatedly and contacted them by phone twice. Their spam is the gift that keeps on giving. They seem to be unwilling to do anything about it and each time say that it will be 4 to 5 business days to have me removed from something that I never signed up for to begin with.
