Well I tried to give this place another chance, and I wish I didn't. They are booked out over 2 weeks for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I did the express service and it took 2 hours. They said the price would be $138 when I checked in. When I was paying I was told there was an additional charge of $14.54 on the service and then the sales tax was $4 making my grand total $156.54. Why isn't this $14 charge disclosed, it's very misleading. I declined the entire air filter because they charge $54.99 which is such a rip off for something you can do yourself for a fraction of the cost. Then they said my hood prop clip was broken and wanted $30.39 for that part. THEY BROKE IT!!! But of course they didn't know anything and were rude when I asked questions. Now they will also charge you a fee to use a credit card, which seems wild!! The staff is also not friendly. Overall a bad and expensive experience today. read more

I received excellent service during my visit. I came in for an 84,000-mile service and was not expecting to be informed right away about a potential head gasket leak. However, the customer service agent was knowledgeable enough to detect the smell of burning oil and review the camera images taken when the vehicle entered the shop. The initial cost was a bit surprising since the vehicle was out of warranty, but Subaru is covering the repairs--unfortunately, a common issue with their turbocharged engines. The waiting room was the best I've seen--spacious, with plenty of tables and desks for work. It also offered complimentary coffee and snacks, as well as a small automobile museum featuring vintage Subaru cars. The check-out process was quick and seamless. I couldn't have asked for better, more courteous service from such knowledgeable employees. read more

Don't bother with this place unless you have all day to wait. Basic services like an oil change and tire rotation will set you back hours. Unsure if this is an overbooking issue, labor issue, or competency issue, but work here is always slow, and obviously costly. There's a Falcone Subaru in Speedway. It's farther away, but gets better reviews. I'll probably try that next. I wonder what the dead ghost of Tom Wood would think about lackluster service. read more

Awful experience here. I'm not really sure why we make appointments when walk-ins are taken first. And if you scheduled over a dozen people at 10:30 that's the business's fault. However jaquan is the only reason why I don't go into further detail on how terrible this experience was. Jaquan is one of the best customer service employees I have ever dealt with. Purchased (used) my 2017 Subaru Forester from Tom Wood and it's the best car I have ever owned. I have taken it to the dealership for service several times and they do a fantastic job!! Michael in service has been very helpful and communicates well with any needs that are required to keep it running. I've also dealt with the service manager and he has been great in resolving any issues since I purchased the car. If you've never driven a Forester, you have to give it a try. A smooth ride and so comfortable to sit in. The seat heaters are great in the winter time. The entire staff is amicable and very helpful in the entire service experience. She took phenomenal care of it so not wanting to disappoint her I've driven up to Tom Wood Subaru couple of times for regular oil changes and their 2 bazillion point check up. I have always been very pleased with the service - friendly and fast. The waiting area is clean and comfy. The restrooms are also "clean and comfy". They have a giant recycling bin and a place to fill water bottles. One warning!! The floor is VERY SLIPPERY in the drive thru bay!! If it's wet and if you are wearing slick shoes you will fall!! Absolutely awful - had an appointment and they completely disregarded it, didn't even give me a courtesy call so I wasted all day relying on Uber rides and said they'd "try to get me in tomorrow" and offered nothing to help solve this issue. I ended retrieving my car without the scheduled service or recall fixed. Adding frustration to the situation, they couldn't find my keys for a half hour after I told them I was going to pick of the vehicle. I'd give them zero stars if I could. It's especially a let down because I've been going to Tom Wood for over 5 years now for everything on my 2 Subarus but they obviously don't care about repeat business - Falcone got me scheduled in in a pinch (for cheaper) and will be getting my business from here on out. read more

Not sure how I haven't reviewed Tom Wood Subaru yet! I purchased my Forester last year after shopping around for SUVs and had a great sales experience with Jerremy Monroe. It was my first time buying a car and he made it an easy process from start to finish. I've been driving my car for more than six months and love the look and feel of my Forester. So impressed with the quality of car. Jerremy has also checked in via email a few times to see if I have any questions. I went through an educational training after buying my car with Hunter and got a $50 gas gift card, too. Score! Just went in for my six month maintenance and it was a breeze - in and out in an hour for oil change, tire rotation and inspection. My car is in tip top shape! read more

I always have a good experience at Wood Subaru, and today was no exception. The service staff is always friendly and honest. I went in on a whim, without an appointment, for an oil change/tire rotation, and they fit me right in and told me it would only be about an hour. They weren't lying. Staff even come and check on you while you're waiting. The customer lounge is stocked with coffee and snacks. You have access to the show room, wifi and a TV. After one hour, my car was ready to go and was freshly washed ! Another perk is that you get reward bonus points as a loyal customer! read more

Bad experience with Service. 36th month service. Express service, oil change, rotation, and inspection. At check-in, I specifically asked about the rotation, and was told yes. Service all done, advisor went over the inspection, and I left. Next day, I looked at the app, and discovered that the tires were not rotated. And, air pressure not checked either. The tires were in this exact same orientation before I took the vehicle in. I emailed the express manager on Tuesday, April 2nd. Nothing, no response. Saturday April 6th, forward the email to the service department manager, got an out of office email back, which is fine, it was Saturday after all. Monday, Tuesday, nothing. Now I have emails out to two people. Tuesday afternoon, I email from their webform, just hoping someone answered. Nothing. I finally emailed my sales agent, and he replied very quickly. He told me I my issue was on the service managers desk, and I would hear from him yesterday. As usual, no contact. I thanked my sales person, he was great. Now I can let air out of three tires, that is not the issue. The issue is that I prepaid a service contract, and while I was told certain service was performed, it was obvious to me that was not the case. So, how do I know that ANY of the previous service has been performed? I could be driving with oil that is 3 years old for all I know. And then their lack of addressing my concern? I think that 8 days from the time I contact them, to this morning has been enough time to respond, other than my sales guy. My lease is up in 5 months, and am exploring options, but i am very hesitant to consider buying this vehicle, that has less than 16k miles in 3 years. I assume it has been properly serviced, but now, how can I be sure? If you have a Subaru, make sure you check their work. mark a tire so you know if they get rotated. Not sure what you can do to make sure they actually change the oil. Apparently Tom Wood Subaru is doing so well that they do not need to worry about retaining a customer. This service department gets the little things right: they finish the job on time (in our case, early!), they offer good advice for how to upkeep our car, they offer good beverages in their waiting room. Speaking of the waiting room, it's actually set up to be a FUN place for kids, which is a relief to any parent who has had the misfortune of having to bring children along to a car dealership. There are toys, puzzles, games and books -- enough to keep their attention for a while. All the kid stuff is set in a little alcove, away from the other stuff in the waiting room. This is in reverence to the service department: When I have to take my car in the shop, I take it here. I have a Subaru and it is now out of warranty. However, I still go back to the dealer. Crazy some would call me. However, when I have needed a repair, I have price shopped and Tom Wood is competitive. Usually it is the best price but when it is not, it is darn close. Additionally, I tend to want to wait on the car. I can work from my laptop so I just camp out. This waiting room is the best. You can go up stairs and have access to a great coffee machine (the one down stairs is better, but they are both good). There are comfortable booths with much room to work. And, you can watch the repairs being done to your car at the same time. I have always had good service here and like the work. I generally get the car when promised, but when that has not happened, they have made it right. This reminds me... I need to take my car to the shop... read more

2.5 hours for an oil change is ridiculous. I called before arriving and they said it'd be an hour. When I arrived there were two cars ahead of me. There was one person helping customers. After three people walked past me to their office/desk saying someone would be with me soon, they once again said it would take an hour. My car sat there for 15 minutes (after I noticed it) waiting for a car wash. It's like everyone is on break or taking their sweet time. There was nothing wrong with the car. Just needed an oil change and tire rotation. To top it all off, I dropped into the parts department to see if they had a gas cap for my other car. When they finally acknowledged I was there they wouldn't do anything unless I gave them the last 8 digits of the VIN. I looked the part up online and there is only one part for all versions of that make and model. At least attempt to seem like you care about your customers. read more

Why can't everything in life be as easy as purchasing a Subaru? I've heard that Subaru practically has a cult following and it's pretty easy to see why. The people are friendly, helpful, and super respectful of your time - that's been my experience every time I've been here. And of course, the car is awesome. After an initial test drive and a follow-up 24-hour test drive, we were ready to purchase. There was very little haggling to settle on a fair price. Our salesperson, Lou Cavallari, told us it would take about 90 minutes to complete the purchase paperwork and that's how long it took, almost down to the minute. Lou patiently walked me through all the optional bells and whistles I could purchase for the car. Then he walked me down to Max in financing. Max is equally awesome. He's very helpful in getting you through the mountain of paperwork necessary to finance with Tom Wood (0% for 60 months, WHAT?!?!?). He is also very funny, regaling my husband and I with family stories while we signed paper after paper. I should say "paper" because he has this monster touchscreen like you see on TV and you sign everything on the giant monitor. After financing, Lou took me to the car. A nice touch was they actually had my car inside the showroom! He sat inside the car with me and showed me a ton of the cool features like connecting your phone to the system and touching the door handle to unlock it, as well as the basic features like how to set the parking brake and where the gas tank was located. Multiple times he reminded me that this was not our last time talking, that he was available anytime I had questions about the car's features. He also told me he would be calling me in a few days to follow up to make sure I was enjoying the car and answer any new questions. Finally, one of the options I purchased requires me to do regular maintenance there, so he went ahead and calendared my first maintenance appointment so I would not forget. I noted in my previous review that I would update from my test drive experience to my purchase experience. Similarly, I plan to update after I've had the car for a bit and experienced a service call. I had made an offer on a vehicle through email and was basically told they don't negotiate prices on used cars. She kept emailing me like all sales people. I rented a Subaru Outback from Enterprise and fell so in love with it that I had to contact my nearest Subaru dealership. My dealer was Lou Cavallari, or "Subaru Lou" as he is called around there. My experience could not have been more perfect. For my first visit, we did a look around the car, a test drive, then looked at financing options. Lou was very knowledgable about the car, the financing, and so much more. He was very honest with me, and I never once got that "shady dealer" vibe from him like I have at other car dealerships. I told Lou that I'd have to go home and talk about it with my wife. When I got home, there was an e-mail waiting for me with a personalized video message from Lou asking how my experience was and to contact him if I had any questions. I was back there two days later and drove home in my beautiful new car. Lou continued to follow up with me over the next few days, asking how the car is doing and if I had any questions for him. I also received a thank you letter in the mail from him, along with a photo magnet of my wife and I in front of the car. This was a month ago, and I love my car so much that I make excuses just to drive it somewhere. I would highly recommend Tom Wood Subaru and especially "Subaru Lou." Hold up. They have a museum upstairs. Check. It. Out. There are some really cool older subaru models up there and you can look out into the garage and see just what is happening with your vehicle. AND no one is upstairs! I think everyone just thinks the waiting room is downstairs only and completely overlook this cool spot. So the service was great again. They quoted me an hour to an hour and a half, and I was out of there in an hour. Brandon helped me out this time and was friendly and professional. Is this because I am an Asian woman and know nothing about car? I am very disappointed with Tom Wood Subaru Car Repair Service on my 2017 Subaru Forester. On March 31, 2023, I accidentally found that the oil stick could not be fully inserted into the tube as it was supposed to be. I did not know why this happened. Before I went to Tom Wood Subaru, I consulted with my friend who owned a car repair shop. He told me this should be someone's fault who changed the oil last time. I always have my car maintenance with Tom Wood Subaru. Then I drove my car to Tom Wood Subaru and let them evaluate the situation. First, they told me that they trimmed the stick so that it could be inserted. However, it must be in some right angle. Then, they asked me to drive the car back next week and they will further evaluate the problem. After they put a camera inside the tube, they told me that the oil dip stick tip was broken inside it. To fix the problem, it will cost $2589.20 because the broken part is deep inside the tube, and they must take apart everything to take it out. And I was told if I were their friend, they would suggest not to repair it because it would not result in engine problem (which I am not sure if it is true). However, when I am driving my car, there are bad smells like gasoline burning inside the car. Here are my questions regarding this issue. 1. How does this happen? Because I did not drive the car a lot since I am working from home and there is no car accident. 2. I remember that I did not see the oil dip stick tip broken when my friend evaluated it. If what they said was true, I should see the tip was broken or at least some irregular fracture of the tip when I pulled it out. But I didn't. 3. I've tried to talk to their manager. But I was told all manager were not there and on a conference. So far, nobody contacts me. read more

During our last two visits we have had terrible customer service and our vehicle was damaged due to negligence on their team. Expected more from Subaru and will be sure to spread the word on how terrible these people are at their jobs. Side note! Do not let them take your vehicle through the automatic car wash/whatever they have over there! It damaged our 2016 WRX and when we returned to have the side frame replaced; after waiting 2.5 hours... a representative came over to notify us that [they] "Ordered the wrong color". And that it was an "Oversight" and tried to laugh it off. I am truly appalled by this lack of professionalism and would be embarrassed if I were a representative here. Also; this did not happen to us during this visit, but many times we have been here; a service manager will bring out a patrons "dirty" filter TO THE LOBBY/WAITING AREA... in front of other customers (essentially putting them on the spot) to suggest that they need to replace their filter. (Roughly $40). Save your money and DIY for $18. Shame on Tom Wood Subaru for putting their customers on the spot in front of everyone to be embarrassed to say no thank you. Some people may read this and think I am being dramatic... No. Save yourself the headache and find a different shop! Pretty upsetting to us as we originally loved going here for all of our needs! read more

Just bought a new Outback and couldn't be happier! We went to Tom Wood twice. Dealt with Greg Begley on both occasions. First was to test drive, the second time we drove it again but we already knew it was a great fit for for us. Greg was very knowledge yet low key. We didn't get the typical pressure applied by car salesmen. That was much appreciated. Buying process was quick and painless. Started some paperwork, went to lunch, came back and Greg went over the entire car with us before we drove off the lot. We walked around the lot without anyone high pressuring us to look at what THEY wanted to sell. When we were ready Lou came up and helped us look for a car that would help accommodate my 4'7" frame. He showed us several (many many) cars that I "tried on" - we decided that maybe new was our way to go.... he was able to sell both new or used so didn't have to change salesman or move to another lot. He put us in a 2016 Subaru Impreza.... he wasn't pushy, he was honest, extremely friendly as was the finance manager Josh. Love my new car and will certainly buy from Lou again!! Just went back today 7-7-2018 and bought a brand new Suburu. Worked with Lou again. It's was the most wonderful process - bought the car we wanted for the money we wanted to spend.
