I love this Tom Thumb location I've been coming for over 10 years and I must say that their customer service is top-notch! Lately I've been going in every month ordering a cake out of the bakery and I want to give a huge shout out to Miss Hannah who has not disappointed one cake thus far! This store is super clean and I will tell you that this store is worth the price point because everything is immaculate. The customer service in the lines are always great. The managers are always out in front ensuring that everything goes smooth and everything is always fresh! The bakery goods are so delicious. They have donuts rolls anything you name it, from the sushi chef that's there every day to put out fresh sushi, which I see him doing all the time! To their chicken Mondays that are on sale each Monday and there's a different price point, but it is a lot of chicken for a little amount of money! And on holidays, you will see them smoking ribs right out in front for sale and even giving some nice samples away as they grill! I love Elizabeth. She's an amazing manager every time she sees me. She comes up and gives me a hug! And they also do some winetasting on weekends here, some Saturdays, and Sundays! All in all always a good vibe, always a higher in clientele, and the parking lot is always put together perfectly, so shout out to the entire Team! I had a a pleasant shopping experience! Plenty of parking right outside with none of the crazy drivers I encounter most places nearby. This store is a bit on the smaller side but they make up for that with lots of selection that is well-organized and cleanly presented. Definitely upscale. Specifically, they have a large selection of wine, prepared foods, meat and even potted orchids on my visit. Will definitely return here. Try to be friendly to the kid and see how his day was. He barely lifted up his head to look at me and didn't even acknowledge that I had spoken to him. I have been going to this location for 2 years. The prices are higher but it's worth the food quality. Customer Service could have longer working hours but I understand there is a staffing shortage. General Manager Scott always has a great attitude and very helpful. This store has my favorite champagne and I shop here at least 3 times a week. The lines can be longer than desired. However, it's better than other grocery stores in the area. The road near this store is undergoing construction and there's currently traffic. The customer service was amazing. I know they're all set up somewhat alike. There is a gentleman stocking, and he showed me where I needed to go and help me put my large order in my cart. Then after I paid for it, he helped me take it out to my car. That's what it used to be in the old-time days. This particular Tom Thumb has improved! Their wine section is expansive! Love the variety, and there seems to be an employee who is ready to help with assistance. Some stylists at Pure Salon nearby had mentioned how good the sushi is there. Sushi at Tom Thumb, really? I was even told that the sushi is better than a lot of Japanese restaurants! The sushi station is next to the deli, on the left. The gal making the sushi (very fresh) was so helpful and sweet. She explained that they just started running a $5 special on sushi every Friday. I know what you are thinking, you get what you pay for, and it is coming from a grocery. I understand. I chose a variety of sushi and even one that was rice less. Located in one of the nicest corners of Las Colinas, just passed the Four Seasons is this Tom Thumb. From the outside you would think that this was a high end or premium version of a Tom Thumb, but you'd be wrong. Despite the modernized backlit sign with Tom Thumb written in black italic script, this location is just like every other, making it much of muchness. The produce has seen better days, and prices are relatively high if there is not a sale. Aforementioned sale items are tedious to obtain since you must often login to the app or website to "clip" digital coupons which are then linked to your shopper's card (club card). This program, just for U, does have some good deals from time to time, but it's rather irritating to have click individual coupons before even examining the items. The meat counter does have USDA prime, but again the prices are higher than competitor's like Sam's Club, and quality does not warrant the premium. Fish selection is laughable. The deli is equally indigent, and the only thing I end up buying anymore is the Primo Taglio ham off the bone. Their new store preferred deli brand is Dietz & Watson, which isn't terrible, but it's reminiscent of Boar's Head but of lesser quality with an almost identical price. The wine & beer selection is atrocious, unless you only like unapologetically oaked Californian Cabernet Sauvignons for above market rate. As for the beer, well it's exactly what most gas stations stock, and is nothing special. Though my biggest complaint is all the sad looking premade dishes, sandwiches, rotisserie chickens etc. It's really rather unappetizing to look at such things when roaming the store. I wanted get one of their Signature Cafe hoagies the other day, and there weren't any put out. I noticed that somebody was making a few in the deli, so I patiently waited. After placing price tags on the hoagies they proceeded to put them somewhere deep into the annals of the deli area. I'm sure I could have probably requested one, but I had already lost interest. Finally the bakery. I've often seen bread that was packaged 2-3 days prior, which essentially means it's expiring the day you bring it home. I drove here 6 miles out of my way because it's the only Tom Thumb near me. I went to go get a discount ticket to a nearby festival. I got there at 6:15pm. The sign at their customer service counter said opened from 9am-6pm! Seriously! The store stays open much later but this "person" I was told by 2 other workers was the only one who could help me. That I'd have to come back. It's a grocery store and a business so your customer service department "person" or manager should be there during open business hours at all times! The customer service folks will very sweetly tell you that you are a liar. I asked for something I saw in the back. She told me they didn't have it in the back. I said "I SAW IT IN THE BACK." She repeated that they do not keep it in the back. All she had to do was either check or say something to the effect that if it's still in the back it's not been properly inventoried and is not ready to sell. Two weeks later. The person bagging said, "Thank you and have a nice day." To me, that means my bags are in the cart and I'm ready to go. One of my bags was not in the cart. I called to make sure it was there and was told by someone in customer service that I'd left it. No, I did not leave it. I was fine to pick it up until she insisted it was my fault. All she had to do was say, "Sorry about that. It will be at Customer Service." She didn't. I shop here for work. I buy a good amount of groceries there. Well, I did. They have a Starbucks on site, a great flower section and even a pharmacy right in the store. They have a great selection of produce, both traditionally grown as well as organically grown. Tom Thumb's service has gone downhill the past few years. There's hardly ever more than 2 checkout lanes open no matter how busy it is in the store So my hubs wanted to surprise me with a Tiramisu cake since I haven't been feeling very well. Well the checker, named Marissa, and the teenage sacker dude both thought it was hilarious that the fresh baked cake FLIPPED over going down the conveyor belt. Then the sacker kid thought it was smart to THROW the cake in the bag and shoved it in the cart. What's wrong with these kids?! This store is disgusting. I honestly wish 0 Stars were a thing. The produce is some of the most unacceptable I've ever seen. I understand that certain variables cause produce to spoil, and that sometimes customers will select or see the items before staff has a chance to clear them out, but this place is absurd. I have never seen so much molded produce in my life. Aside from that, there is a terrible fruit fly problem here. I made the mistake of not inspecting my fruit before bringing it home. it took me 3 weeks to rid the infestation that this store caused. Generally speaking, i have to agree with another reviewer who called the staff "Miserable", as it is rather accurate. "I'm sorry ma'am, but my cucumbers didn't do anything to you, please refrain from beating the crap out of them." During one visit, i discovered a mess in the produce section and brought it to the attention of a near by staff member. He very clearly acted as if it was the worst news he had ever heard, and how dare i interrupt his staring contest with the melons. Being that this store is very close to home, i keep talking myself into coming back, thinking it'll be better this time. i always end up kicking myself. Love love love it! Tom Thumb is officially my favorite grocery store these days. Especially this location. It is so clean, organized, neat and they have more than what you are looking for. They are a bit pricier than their local competitors, but it is totally worth it when you can comfortably shop and find exactly what you are looking for. I am amazed at the frozen dinner section because they have meals from almost every ethnicity that you can think of. if you are looking to take a microwave meal to work and don't like the typical TV dinners, you can choose Indian, Thai, Chinese, Greek, etc. Not that I am a frozen food type of person, but I was impressed with this and I might try a few of the Indian ones soon. The customer service is also great! From the cashier to the bagger to the guy at the seafood counter to the lady in the deli. I love this location and wish it was close to my house! The only negative that I noted is that the Tom Thumb "off brand" is scarce with certain things. I had the hardest time finding the "off brand" on some items that I would usually be able to get at Kroger in the Kroger brand. There are certain things on my list that I am okay buying off brand. I ended up having to settle for the brand name for a few items that I normally don't have to: Cream of brocolli, vegetable broth. Overall, this is now my fave grocery store and I will be going back today to do my shopping since it is near the office! read more

This is the Tom Thumb in Las Colinas area. This outlet is located at MacArthur and Northgate. There is ample parking available. This outlet is mostly deserted all the time . If you see 20 people in the store, it means that it is supposed to be a busy day. The bakery is OK and their donuts run out soon. Most of the items are fresh except for their strawberries and raspberries. I have personally shown expired / fungal infested strawberries. I also have seen that they run low on staffing. The best part about this outlet is that you get lot of privacy there because the store is deserted. There is no self service lanes in the store so you have to wait in the queue even if you had only one item to buy. Their express counters are not of any help. There is a Starbucks outlet inside and also redbox pickups inside the store. read more

Located in a nice strip center that includes eateries (such as Midoris) and a sports bar (spirit grill), this Tom Thumb is obviously the anchor of the whole set. It has a great variety of foods and the other typical wares and products you can find at a supermarket-pharmacy combo store. It also has a Starbucks for the coffee lovers. As for the prices, they are more expensive than say your typical Krogers, but cheaper than Whole Foods. I think the quality is worth the price. We had generally changed over to shopping at Kroger on MacArthur in Irving. But today, we needed an item that Kroger doesn't carry. When we arrived at Tom Thumb, we noticed a store employee standing outside the door making sure everyone who entered had mask. Hallelujah! At Kroger, many customers had no masks, and we noticed some people coughing. Obviously, Tom Thumb takes the health of their customers more seriously. I'm only giving one star at this time. I will change it to more stars if my next visit improves. I went to this Tom Thumb location today for the first time, around noon. I got a buggy from the parking lot and proceeded to the entrance. Two people a man and a woman, obviously employees were talking to each other standing at the doorway and blocking my path. I couldn't read their minds and they didn't acknowledge me or say anything until the man who might have been the manager walked away and I asked the woman (who wasn't very approachable) if they were open. She said they were closing because they were going to have to restart their whole system. The electricity was on so I didn't really understand what she meant, I'm not convinced that was the real reason they were closing. At any rate I'll probably give them another try as my doctor's office is in the immediate vicinity. This particular location of Tom Thumb is horrid. Granted, the premises are kept neat and tidy. I take serious issue with the miserable employees. Cashiers look so depressed that they almost become a parody of themselves. They barely speak more than a fragmented sentence to you and don't even have the common courtesy to look you in the eye when speaking to you. Here is a more specific example of the cretins working there: My wife and I bought "fresh" seafood there about three weeks ago. We got sick after eating the salmon and didn't even bother with the shrimp since it had a pungent odor to it. Upon closer inspection, there was mold inside of the shells. We returned the following week to request a refund and Miss Little Ray of Sunshine behind the customer service counter does not even say "hi". She jumps right in and asked us, "And you didn't come sooner?" No, my Flower of Compassion. I was sick. Pay attention. This is the same Ray of Hope who was so happy to help us today with a malfunctioning gift card, which, you guessed, she set up last time as a refund instead of using her infinite wisdom to put the money for the rotten seafood back on the credit card we used in the first place.
