I have never actually been to this Aldi before, I was just in the area. There isn't one near me, so I tend to stop by random ones if I am then going home. One thing I LOVE and constantly check their ads for...the organic grass fed ground beef. They don't always have it on sale, and a lot of times you have to buy a 4lb pack, but it is FANTASTIC. If you don't buy into the grass fed organics, that's fine, leave it for the rest of us. If you find it for $3.99...stock your freezer. Then make meatballs. Or burgers. Something that shows off the meat. I don't eat a lot of red meat at home but this is the only ground beef I buy. Today, I found it in single pound packages. I tend to freeze them in packs of 3/4 pounds, so I am not wasting food. Other than the beef, I love their cheeses. Score one for goat cheese under $2. Baguettes, vegetables, and their packs of microwavable rice which are perfect for meal prepping. Also at Christmas I got my sister a wine advent calendar here, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Go, Aldi. Bring a quarter for a buggy (which you'll get back), and your own reusable bags. I bring my tote, it says totes ma goat..and has a goat on it. Or, pay for grocery bags.

Whole Foods Supermarket in Las Colinas is an upscale supermarket that focuses on organic goods…read more It's also an Amazon locker/return station and has a nice bar and prepared foods as well. If you're looking for quality and convenience, Whole Food Supermarket has it. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Supermarket, Return) Atmosphere - Whole Foods is centrally located in Irving-Las Colinas along 161 and MacArthur. Upon entering, you'll notice a large, brightly lit market with excellent lighting. On the left side of Whole Foods (where you enter), you find fresh produce that pops with multiple colors. It's bright, colorful, and puts you in a good mood (to buy groceries). 1 Star. Service - The staff is great, but for this review I want to call out the convenience of being an Amazon location. You can return Amazon items you purchased online here, or have items delivered to an Amazon locker. Bonus, there is a dedicated entrance for the Amazon Kiosk so you can get in and out quickly. 1 Star. Supermarket - Whole Foods has lots of organic offerings, so the prices here are more than other places. Their white label "365 by Whole Food Market" isn't as expensive as commercial organic labels but still is pricy. But what makes this Whole Foods stand out for me is they have a small bar with beers on tap. Also, the prepared food is really good. If you don't want to cook, you can come here and choose items that you can prepare from sides (Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables), global dishes (Indian curries, Asian stir-fries, and Mediterranean platters), and even seasonal entrées and sides that rotate regularly. Again, the higher price and access to non-organic brands may not be for everyone. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I'm here often to use the Amazon kiosk. It's also a great place to go to pick up freshly prepared food that you can just take home, heat up, and serve. 1 Star.

They have better prices on a lot of things than Walmart and certainly than Kroger. If your grocery bill is exploding the last year or two try shopping here at least once a month. Best part was the checker said they are an employee owned company which is a huge plus to me over over these chains that are gouging people over profits on food and staples while not giving any benefits because they mostly staff with part timers. You just have to know how to maneuver through the chaos. Most days and nights, this location is CROWDED, which I'm sure has a lot to do with all the apartments nearby. Shopping itself isn't terrible--as long as you know what you're looking for. But if you're someone who enjoys casually strolling through the aisles, this probably isn't your happy place. And don't expect much Southern hospitality from the shoppers either. Now here's the hack: DON'T BE A FOLLOWER! Everyone seems to flock to the longest checkout line, so take a second and look around. THERE IS ALWAYS A SHORTER LINE! Also, pay attention to how many items the people in each line have. Some cashiers move MUCH faster than others. Either way, DO NOT COME HERE IN A RUSH. Give yourself some time and prepare for the madness. The environment could definitely be cleaner, and honestly, I'm not sure I'd trust the produce/vegetables at this location. The deli, however, can be pretty good; especially when you catch the food coming fresh out of the fryer. So overall? Convenient, but chaotic. If you live nearby, you'll probably keep coming back.
