i visited two h-marts and i like this new one on royal better. came here a few times as I was staying nearby and interestingly, there is a day time strip club pretty much across from it. this area looks to be getting korean-fied... there is alot of restaurants and even ktv.. and a big bathhouse asia style.... back to this supermarket, plaza, food court. it just seems much newer than the one at carrollton. the food court has the same vendors. i think it is pre-set. i thought the food inside the h-mart like the sushi and stuff seems better at this location, like the kimbap and slice jokbal. it has smaller portions. at the other location, its a whole damn pigfeet like $30+ bucks. here, they have smaller slice portions for like $10 bucks, i forgot, just not the whole big a** pigfeet... better get ready for the 4pm rush.. that's when they do the 50% discount on nearly all the ready food items... there are ajummas that come and hoard nearly everything. read more

Wow, this place is huge! It smells good, like roasted sweet potatoes and just-baked bread and fresh fish. They have a ton of produce - but half of it was old, moldy, already half rotten. Couldn't even buy ginger, because what they had was sooo gross. They have dishes and rice cookers too. read more

First of all, this is an incredible store. They have litterally anything you can think of and the prices are great!! Fresh produce is lovely (best place for strawberries) and there is always a great deal (like 10 lbs of oranges for $10)! Prepared food and kimchi are so convenient! That all being said, what I came here to review was the food court. This place is great! My mom and I ordered the bibimbap and it was INSANELY DELICIOUS!! It was the size of a dinner platter and rice was so crispy! Filled with tons of vegetables and pickled veggies on the side to explore! The only negative I have is that the water cups are the size of dixie cups so would recommend bringing your own water and every store announces " order number ____ please take the meal" every 5 seconds on the loud speaker. It's a little distracting at first, but it'll grow on you. (it's an inside joke now with my family) This place is so unique and special! Keep it up!! read more

Newly opened and is so very busy especially during the weekend. It takes some time to find a seat so try to find one before ordering. We ordered a bunch of different food from different stores but it was all quite disappointing. My expectations were quite high compared to what I got but all the food is just typical food court quality and taste. It was quite expensive and so busy inside so I was expecting it to be good but I probably wouldn't order any of these again. The grocery store is a lot smaller than the carrollton location but they have pretty much every main thing you could need. They even carried the Hotpot kits and had plenty in stock which was nice. The produce was lacking in quality and price but could've gotten better since I last visited. Its nice to have another hmart though! Inside the grocery store they also have a stationary gift store called art box (but when I went the stock was all gone), they have a sticker photo booth store, some other smaller stores and even a stage in the foodcourt area. So there's plenty to do, eat, shop and seems like a good place to come with friends too. read more

We intentionally diverted our long drive to Tennessee just to squeeze in a quick dinner stop at the H Mart food court in Dallas--and it was absolutely worth it. Ha ch ing previously lived in the NY/NJ area, we've really missed good Korean and Japanese food, so this stop felt like a comforting throwback. It instantly reminded us of the soft tofu soup spots in Fort Lee, NJ and the katsu places in Edgewater, NJ. We ordered the seafood combination soft tofu soup from Sogongdong Tofu & BBQ and the fish katsu from It's Katsu. Both dishes were fantastic and the service was excellent. In fact, u enjoyed the food so much that I completely devoured it before remembering to take photos--always the best sign. The food court offers plenty of dining options, but these two vendors clearly stand out. You can tell by how consistently busy they are and how many people gravitate toward their counters. While I'm sure the other spots are solid, these two felt like the top-tier choices. The only downside is the lack of complimentary water For diners. Compared to the H Mart food court in Austin--which is larger and offers free water--this was a small but noticeable miss. Overall, this H Mart food court delivered exactly what we are craving: comforting, high-quality Korean and Japanese food that made a long road trip much more enjoyable. I'd happily detour again...actually we did a quick lunch detour on our way back to San Antonio...and still I forgot to take a picture of the food we ordered. read more

So happy to see an H Mart closer to home. I'm an absolute H Mart stan, and this one did not disappoint. The grocery store itself is large, with well-appointed produce, vegetable, and meat sections all fresh, neatly displayed, and offering great variety. You'll find all your traditional Korean favorites, from noodles and kimchi to onigiri. Beyond the grocery store, there are additional shops, a huge food court with plenty of seating, and even a solid selection of claw machines. The plaza also includes clothing, skincare, hair care, and craft stores. You could easily spend an entire day here. I definitely did and will be back soon. read more

Welcome to the area, H Mart! I was super excited to have one closer to me. I visited during the day. It was very busy, which was not a surprise. Their store layout is quite different than the one in Carrollton, so it took a while to locate some items. None of the employees spoke a lick of English, so they were not helpful, unfortunately. I never did find my favorite spicy bean sprouts in the deli area, which was a bummer. Great seafood and produce, as H Mart does so well. I do not recommend shopping there after dark, especially for women. The area is very sketchy. The store is located by the I35 overpass, which is FULL of homeless people living there. Also, people coming up to your cars begging for money. Just a heads up. read more

H Mart is a popular Korean Supermarket that is very modern (clean) that it will give other traditional supermarkets stiff competition for my grocery dollars. H Mart is a one stop shop for me because it offers everything I need with a heavy Korean/Asian influence. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Supermarket, Return) Atmosphere - You'll find this H Mart in the OG Korea Town in Dallas off Royal Lane next to I35. The supermarket is well lit and has many traditional departments (Seafood/Fresh Produce/Dairy). There's also a food hall with individual vendors and smaller shops inside. And throughout H Mart you see tons of people. My people to be exact. On the Grand Opening Day, it was packed. 1 Star. Service - H Mart has an army of employees that are easy to spot because they are wearing a brown and light blue striped H Mart vest. Every checkout lane was open (grand opening), and we were able to buy our groceries without much wait. There is no self-checkout (thank goodness b/c I'm not a fan). Everyone was friendly. 1 Star. Supermarket - While H Mart caters to an Asian audience, it's bright, open, well lit (crowded on opening day), but accessible so anyone should feel comfortable shopping here. Here are some of the areas that stood out for me. Food Hall - tons of seating, a great ordering system, and lots of independent vendors to choose from like Don's Chicken, It's Katsu, and Paik's Noodle Fresh Seafood - tons of fresh seafood including crab legs and fresh fish. Ramen - More ramen choices that will give college students plenty of options. Korean BBQ - Lots of fresh beef options for grilling Korean BBQ at home. Even the produce section has tons of options. You can't go wrong. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Up until now, the nearest H Mart to me was in Carrollton. The staff was very helpful. The store opens 365 days, which means even on holidays. If you are visiting a H-Mart for the very first time, take the time to walk the store to enjoy the ambiance. Love coming here, there's something for everyone! There's Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food here, both traditional and newer foods. Vegan, vegetarian options as well. Food is usually quick to come out, they hand you a number and you go retrieve your food from the vendor. It's one big dining hall that's buzzing with activity either from the kids playing games near by or the music videos played on the big screen. Always a good time here! read more

I came here yesterday during their Korea-themed event, and I really enjoyed it! I started at the food court and got a gimbap lunch bento and a slushie from Jaws Topokki, and both were good. The bento came with pork katsu, keto bimbap, and several sides, including fish cake, fried yam, fried glass noodles, kimchi, and a yogurt drink. The keto bimbap was new to me, and I loved the idea of substituting rice with eggs. It even had a shrimp tempura inside--so good! I also really enjoyed my sikhye slushie. While I was eating at the food court, the event performances started on the stage, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Afterward, I did some grocery shopping. I've been to multiple H Marts, including the ones in Chicago, and this location isn't too different--great selection of produce and goods, clean, bright, and spacious. They also have their own free parking lot. I was happy to find my usual favorites, including special-flavor instant coffee and Taiwanese snacks. I'd definitely revisit this H Mart the next time I'm in Dallas! read more

Decided to stop in one Saturday morning since they've been open for 2 weeks now. The crowds are still flocking!! I'm glad for this one to open even out the crowd coming to Plano and Carrolton. I can't wait for the Haltom one to open as it looks like they have a better parking situation there. This Hmart have a nicer food court compared to Plano and Carrolton but it's too crowded right now to try any of the food establishments that are in there. I got lucky and didnt have to wait long to find a spot but leaving took 20 mins. I came during the second opening day. They have a lot of viral items, those big ice cups and pouch drinks you see on social media from South Korea. They have those viral fruit ice cream. They have haidilao hot pot set for $20. I found Hawaiian drinks I've never seen in Hawaii!!!! Seriously, if you have never been to HMart, you should just walk in so you can see what you have been missing. And there's more . . . More? Oh my goodness! The produce selection is marvelous. We had no idea Korean pears came in so many varieties!! The same was true of everything: so many varieties. My friend was looking for Gochujang. They had flavor varieties in tub and squeeze bottle. We bought sushi, a case of individual rice, and the scrubbing gloves they use at the Korean bath. I lived in Hawaii for 20 years and was able to find some flavors of Hawaiian drinks I've never seen. We can't wait to go back and explore again and try different things in the food court. read more

If you're going to the food court, do not go to "It's Katsu". Or atleast don't order a curry bowl. It tastes like they just opened a packet of "Golden Curry" and that's it. The curry was way too thick and strong, they put the rice at the bottom of the bowl so it was too hot and already soaked in the strong curry. Tasted horrible. The Katsu was okay though. read more

Over 2 years without duck eggs. Why didn't I think to go to an Asian grocery store sooner. I'm also picky about aloe juice and I bought one to try and it was delicious. So excited for the new HMART I lost track of time and got stuck in traffic heading home. From the sweet smells of the roasted sweet potato ovens to the fabulous array of fresh fruits, glittering seafood section, free marinated beef samples (yes I got some) and pre-packed hot-pot veggie packs OMG. I am SO looking forward to getting some sashimi next time I stop by. I grabbed frozen spring rolls and dumplings, noodles, mushrooms, fresh dragonfruit, blue crabs were juicy and LIVE and I enjoyed a grape Ramune soda in memory of my lil bro who used to love em. Had I known H Mart was this amazing I would have been inside long before now. I seriously felt like a kid on Christmas Day. I wanted to walk every single inch of the store but it's massive and I only made it through the outside perimeter. The produce, meat and seafood and the drinks isles. Upon entering you smell roasted sweet potatoes and I had to get a few to take home and eat with butter. So yummy. I left with a basket of goodies and barely spending over $100. I love over an hour and half away but it was so worth the drive and I will absolutely be back monthly. I love Korean and Vietnamese cuisine and this place was absolutely heaven on earth for me. If I had a complaint it was REALLY hard to locate employees on the floor when I had a question but other than that. The place was very clean, neat and organized and the tremendous selection of EVERYTHING is mind blowing. I didn't even make it through the isles. I was over stimulated from so many options. Love this new location. The food court is soooooo good. Sometimes the live music in the food court can be way too loud. My friends and I had to relocate to the cafe to even hear each others conversation. The produce & protein selections are some of the best in DFW. It's also super clean and the staff are great. Again, only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the live music is soooooo loud. People were literally sitting at the farthest tables from the stage to try and get some peace. read more

this hmart location is much smaller than the one located in carrollton, so the parking lot is extremely small. the difference between the two locations is that this place also focuses a lot on dining, with a bigger seating area and more restaurants inside. there are lots of areas to sit and when you order your food, you are given a number that is displayed on one of the screens when it is ready. the actual grocery section is beautiful, with everything ranging from fresh meat and seafood to pajamas and bedding. i recommend buying the seasoned beef cubes in a large container. read more

Got live crabs - put them in the bag one by one no smell. Put them in the car and in 3 paper bags they smelled soo bad as I was driving home they stunk up my car. Returned them - crabs do not smell. Could have gotten real sick. I'd check the seafood too. read more

Had a chance to try the new HMart on HH. Place was nice and clean and was busy on a late Wednesday night. I tried the pre- marinated LA Galbi and was really disappointed. I cooked it at home and found bone shards all over the meat. When purchased at other locations, it seemed they would wash it after cutting the meat. This location did not do that and caused my purchase to go straight to the trash. read more

This location just opened but already stinks as soon as you walk in. The smell is nauseating and the workers barely speak English which is even more annoying than the smell. I won't be back to this location. Instead I'll make that long drive to their Plano location. read more
