Jasmine rice, cucumber salad , and spicy green papaya salad
Myesha M.

Hidden gems! It's disguised!! It's actually a market that has a number of different things. From your regular household items like washing powder, cigarettes, and even some authentic Asian goods/groceries like different ramens, sauces and pastes. What many wouldn't know unless told or stumbling into it. Is there's a little restaurant in the back , that serves some of the best Laos/Thai foods In Dallas. I've been a regular at this market / restaurant for over a decade. And although I've tried a few things there , my favorite is the medium spicy green papaya salad with extra egg plants , the medium spicy cucumber salad , jasmine rice and of course the beef salad( beef Larb cooked ). If you're looking for some authentic Laos food, this is going to be your place . They're very friendly and welcoming. Irena is usually who makes my food , only I haven't seen her the last couple of times I've gone . Nevertheless, my food always still comes out really tasty no matter who prepares it.

Drunken Noodle w/ Beef Egg rolls

Small hole in the wall shop with lovely employees. They are always very kind and make sure everything is to your liking. House made sausages are packed with flavor and pair great with the rice! The egg rolls are the best i've ever had, flavorful and crispy. Definitely recommend 10/10

We're from Colorado and this is our first time in Dallas, wanted to try some Authentic Laotian Food so again per YELP Oversea was on my bookmark. Oversea compared to Nahlin Market it's night and day! We've gotten no service at Nahlin Market whatsoever but when we came to Oversea they're very friendly and helpful. The food was spectacular! I spent about $200, this means that they had exactly everything that I was looking for. When I'm in town again if the positive service continues I'll return to continue and support Oversea Market!!

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!! Oh...my....god....this place is AWESOME. I'm almost nervous to leave this review…read morebecause I don't want it to become over busy and lose its authentic charm. It's located in a tiny market in a very unassuming party of town - but make no mistake - nestled between barber shops and low income housing is arguably the best Thai food I've had in DFW The flavor was so deep and rich. Melt in your mouth flavor for the pork ribs and sausage. The vermicelli curry was phenomenal and the Thai papaya salad was super fresh and delicious. Spring rolls on point and the service was so friendly. Beef larb was very authentic tasting. The guy who took our order was awesome. And to top it all off? Great prices and tons of ACTUAL Asian people eating there. That's how you know it's good!

It's tucked away and attached to a small Lao grocery store, which honestly made it feel even more authentic. The moment we walked in, it felt like we were about to get a home-cooked meal. We ordered the organ soup with sticky rice, beef lahp, and nam khao, and everything was absolutely delicious. The broth in the organ soup was rich, clean, and deeply flavorful, exactly how it's supposed to taste. The sticky rice came out warm and perfectly chewy. The beef lahp was bright and herbaceous with the right amount of spice and lime, super fresh, and tasted just like what we've had in Laos/at family gatherings. And the nam khao was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients here. What I appreciated most is the authenticity. A lot of other reviewers mentioned that this is one of the few places in Texas where the food tastes "just like home," and I completely agree. Multiple people also mentioned the friendly staff and how the market side carries essentials and hard-to-find Lao/Thai items. We felt the same way, everyone was kind, and the grocery section is a nice bonus for anyone looking for snacks or specialty ingredients. Portions were solid, prices were fair, and the quality was amazing. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when traveling. If you want real Lao food, skip the trendy places and come here instead. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Texas. Highly, highly recommend.

I got the egg noodle soup with bbq pork (with shrimp & wontons!) that was clearly made fresh and served straight from the pot. It was flavorful with plenty of bok choy and reminded me of a grandma's homemade cooking. The gentleman who took my order casually chatted with me for a bit and was kind enough to bring the food over to the table I was sitting at. Some of the best homemade food is from the hole in the wall places - in this case a food court - so don't let it intimidate you. Just try it.

No one was present as soon I walked up, but as she came around the corner she acknowledged me right away as she was taking food to a table. She repeated my order to make sure we were on the same page and I noticed if the modification wasn't in the computer, it was written on the ticket. The ambiance - it is located inside Ben Thanh's food court. So it's an open cafeteria like the mall food court. I got my food to-go. However, I did see a couple ladies eating and everything was served as if it were a restaurant (they had a hot pot) I wasn't being nosey or anything, lol! I will return!

Yelp didn't lead me here, it was the local Thai community that highly spoke of this place. I still checked to make sure the comments were on par with the word of mouth. They are also a small mini mart and have a variety of cooked and raw ingredients for you to take home. Everything is made to order. I watched them cooked things fresh and their kitchen is visible from the dining area. The key items which I really enjoyed: fried chicken skins, lao style pho, lao style papaya salad. The flavors were all there and their spice level 3 on a scale of 5 is pretty good in my book. Also highly recommended is the lao style coffee.

I ordered the basil fried rice (spice level 2) and the pork fried crispy rolls. The spice level 2 gave the rice a subtle kick - noticeable but not overwhelming - which is just the way I like it. The basil fried rice was packed with egg, bamboo shoots, baby corn, mushrooms, bell peppers, white onions, fresh basil, and garlic. The flavors were balanced, and the portion size was VERY generous - this was way more than single meal for me. The crispy pork rolls were also very good. They were filled with pork, green onions, glass noodles, carrots, white onions, and cabbage, and served with a thin sweet & sour sauce that complemented them nicely without being too heavy. Even though I ordered them as an appetizer, they arrived midway through my meal, so not the best timing. The fountain machine wasn't working, so drinks were $2.50 for a can of soda with no refills. That felt a bit steep for a canned drink. I count that as a downside of the visit. Overall, the food was flavorful and generously portioned. With small improvements on the drink situation and meal timing, it could easily be a 5-star experience.
