The staff were friendly, and even went the extra mile when a party member forgot their drink at the restaurant. She walked it to our table because she remembered who they were! Everyone finished their food and had no complaints. I highly recommend trying different things if you come with a group because everyone can try a little of something. Very nice variety here.

The energy was great, people were watching, cheering, and enjoying the moment. But with record-breaking heat outside, I was surprised to learn that refilling a cup with water was apparently not allowed unless you paid for it. While I was simply trying to get some water, security started yelling, "You can't do that! You can't do that!" At first, I honestly didn't even realize he was talking to me -- because in my mind, I was just doing the most basic human survival activity: getting water. Then came the plot twist: "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER HERE!" And just like that, the World Cup became the Water Cup -- available for purchase only. All jokes aside, it was disappointing. Water, especially on a hot day and in a public-facing establishment, feels like something that should be offered with a little more kindness and humanity. If you're visiting from another country and had a similar experience, I'm truly sorry. Please know this isn't everyone here. There are many good people in this country who would gladly offer you a glass of water for free -- and probably ask if you needed ice, too.

Incredible food options, one of the most beautiful low-key bars in the area, and live music that actually fits the room. On any given night, you might be sipping Johnny Blue with expertly crafted sushi (trained by a local master) while the person next to you is enjoying a Michelob Ultra and a slice from the legendary Sal's Pizza--and it all just works. Think upscale Cheers. The service is a huge part of the magic. Bartender David is phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and somehow remembers what you like. Ray, the manager, keeps everything running smoothly and effortlessly, while owner Mico is always present, setting the tone and making sure the place feels genuinely cared for. Bonus: local artist Robin Lore hosts an open mic night every Wednesday at 7p - 10p, which perfectly captures the neighborhood vibe. More than a bar or food hall, it's a true melting pot of the neighborhood. You never know who'll walk in next. Highly recommend.

I ordered chicken Katsu curry stuffed with mozzarella cheese and shrimp tempura and they were the crunchiest and freshest food I've ever tasted. The shrimp tempura and the egg salad-like dipping sauce complemented each other so well. The restaurant itself has a very nice ambience with music playing in the background and good lighting. My food also came very fast and the server already prepared to go boxes without me even asking, which was very very sweet of her.

Service was pleasant and friendly. She took out offers and within minutes we were seated and served. I had the traditional omurice with a side of fried shrimp. Essentially a ball of rice stuffed with some veggies, protein of choice and then wrapped in an egg. That was the impressive aspect. I don't know how they did it but the egg was fried and wrapped that it almost looked like whipped cream. It was a savory and hearty meal. But I wasn't so moved as to try it again. My companions loved it. To each their own I say. But I can't take anything from it. It was a good experience.

The meal came with a delicious soup and perfectly cooked rice, both of which complemented everything beautifully. The spicy pork ribs were tender, packed with flavor, and had just the right amount of heat. We also ordered the seaweed rolls, which were incredible when dipped in the spicy Korean mustard sauce. And, of course, the kimchi was fresh, crisp, and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted homemade, the portions were generous, and every bite made us want to come back. If you're looking for authentic, high-quality Korean food, I can't recommend this place enough. If you're looking for fancy - this ain't it! Small mom & pop Korean hole-in-the-wall. Regardless of race, they greet you in their language, "anhyonghasaeo" which gives it more of an authentic vibe. The menu is hung above the cashier in both Korean and English language. We came during lunch hour today and they were pretty busy, though we didn't even have to wait long for the food. I grabbed a tray of their gimbal (spicy w/ anchovies) laid out in the front, I loved that it came with pickled radish and a wasabi sauce. It was everything I was craving! For only $7 there were like 10 rolls in there! As for the main entrees, I ordered the spicy pork ribs, which was so good and tender, falling off the bone! I also ordered the seafood pancake, it wasn't as crispy as other places I've tried but it was full of flavor and full of seafood! I'd take this seafood pancake over Maht gaek's any day! I also ordered the soontofu soup combo with stir fried pork. Each entree came with a side of purple rice and plenty of side dishes. Their kimchi was especially good. You can tell it's made in house, it was very fresh and delicious. Overall everything was so good, that I have no complaints about the food. I would honestly come back tomorrow
