black bean noodles
Ivy N.

I love black bean noodles and was excited to try Paik's after hearing all the hype, but I was slightly disappointed. the noodles were too sweet for my taste. I prefer savory meals to be savory. The portion was generous and price was good for the amount you get but I didn't love how they made the noodles sweet. Location is inside the new Dallas HMart and is very busy.

Jajangmyeon - Noodles with a savory black bean sauce, pork and vegetables.

Really really tasty! I got the Jajangmyeon - Noodles with a savory black bean sauce, pork and vegetables. We went on Christmas Day and the food court was busy but the service was friendly and with a smile! The food came out quick. The noodles had a really nice chew to them. Tasted just like the high end ones you get with dipping ramen! The pork sauce was savory and loaded with good sized chunks. It a food court so the ambiance was what hog would expect - however it was phenomenally clean! I hope they maintain that as the hall ages. I will definitely be back!

This is in the food market in hmart. Nice and spacious area. The sweet and sour pork dish didn't look like the picture in the menu but was still really delicious! The sweet and sour sauce was addicting. We dipped everything in there. The garlic soy had the perfect amount of flavor and balance!

Located in HMart food court at Royal Lane, Dallas. We ordered two noodles and they were both great. The serving size is generous. Place your order. An order number will be at the receipt. Your order can be tracked on the monitor. Although there was a long line. The wait was minimum

The restaurant itself is large and well laid out. We started with the Scallion Pancake Beef Role which was the best version of this dish I have had in a long time. Tender beef and fresh pancakes! Then we moved onto the Beef Soup with wide noodles. The soup was spiced perfectly and the noodles were just right. We finally finished up with the Kung Pao Shrimp which was delicious and expertly prepared. This place is great and I am already planning my next trip. Highly Reccommended!

Everything fresh. And fxr The beef soup was rich and delicious. You can choose the size of your noodles which is good. The volcano noodles were not as hot as advertised but needless to say amazing. Overall great place, great vibes, and only negative comment is food comes out sporadically as they bring it out when ready. (Which I don't mind), but if you do mind just ask for it all together. Oh and no alcohol (i don't drink), but if you do unfortunately they don't serve it. Go try this place the dumplings and noodles are awesome!

It's one of those places that's easy to return to because the experience is consistently solid, not just the food. The cucumber and spinach salads are almost automatic orders for us at this point. They're reliably bright and well balanced, and come out quick. We also make a point to check out the specials whenever they're available. They tend to reward repeat visits and usually give us something new to talk about on the way home. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the staff. They're consistently well trained, kind, and attentive without being overbearing. Even on busy nights, things move smoothly and calmly, which matters a lot when you're fitting dinner into a full family schedule. At this point, Hello Dumpling feels dependable in the best way. It's a place we trust for a good meal, thoughtful execution, and a welcoming experience every time.

Not a problem since we enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our drinks. The bartenders were great, fast and very friendly. I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!

A spicy chinese noodle shop that far exceeded my expectations…read more Jin was an exceptionally attentive employee who would often check up on us and top off our waters. Excellent service despite having no reason to, since we ordered through a qr code located on the tables. I don't write about customer service unless it was genuinely something that was worth telling people. He gave us a good rundown of the situation of the restaurant and provided an in-depth explanation of the menu for my first time there. He gave us plenty of options to choose from and explained what consisted in each of the dishes. Which helped us ultimately make our choices and I enjoyed every single dish. The interior was well decorated with modern/futuristic reflective aesthetics. A great touch that made me love it even more was the dimming bags put over the spotlights adorned around the ceiling to help cut down on glare and make it a bit more comfortable to enjoy the atmosphere. The mixed vegetable salad was a very pleasant blend of sweet, savory, and Sichuan spice. I originally was going for the cucumber but I was interested in more variety and opted to try more of what they had to offer. It still hit as a refreshing appetizer to complement our other dishes. 9/10 The black pepper noodles were actually amazing with how it balanced out a lot of strong, potentially overwhelming flavors. The black pepper was perfectly seasoning the fiery stir fried bell pepper and noodles. The beef played a great supporting role to elevate the dish without making it all about itself. 8.5/10 The Number 1 rice noodles in soup was powerful without being indulgent. The flavors hit hot and hard but still savory and tastefully diverse. Jin recommended it as the noodles have a very pleasant chew and had a diverse plating with bok choy, pickled mustard, and an egg to top it off. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place completely and will 100% return when I come back to Texas.

The carrots were really good, it's a small serving The chocolate cake was the best cake I've ever had. For a restaurant at this level of hype and price, customer service is a key component. When we walked in, our waiter welcomed us quickly, he took time to talk through the menu, give his suggestions, and I thought we were going to have that special experience. We rarely saw him again the rest of the night. Random very nice people would bring us our items and let us ask for another drink, but our waiter seemed to be actively avoiding looking our way, wasn't the one to check us out, or say thanks and goodbye. It was just odd, I think maybe he was overworked. A relationship with the waiter is a nice thread to tie a dinner into a real experience from start to finish, just a thought. I am surprised despite the popularity, the wait was not long at all and we were able to get seat almost immediately. For the first time, we ordered 2 appetizers - shrimp tempura and gyoza, not particularly outstanding, but they came out fast! As we were diving into our appetizers, the ramen was ready for us. I had the Spicy Miso Special (with mild spice) and my boyfriend had the Hinodeya special with medium spice. I personally like mine better because it was creamy and super flavorful compared to the Hinodeya special. My boyfriend tends to get stomach ache and fee bloated if he eats too much MSG. But he didn't feel any of those symptoms. To him, it was one of the biggest indicators if that is a good ramen or not. For the second time, we ordered takoyaki and karaage. Again, nothing too outstanding. This time, my boyfriend had what I had last time and I ordered the Tonkatsu special (no pic, sorry!). Maybe because of the lack of spice, I still prefer the Spicy Miso Special over Tonkatsu (Tonkatsu ramen is always my go-to in ramen spots). Regardless, we enjoyed our meals very much in both times.
