It has been years since I've shopped at one. The only reason I ended up here is because I was in the area for lunch and I try to do my best to be intentional about my grocery shopping by staying away from Kroger as much as possible because of their poor quality and lack of standards (I've come across too many rotten foods and I have seen numerous items on their shelves past the expiration dates- meats and eggs included). I will pay more to stay away from Kroger if I can. Well what a big mistake that was yesterday! En route to lunch, I noticed Albertsons and decided to come back around to it after lunch. Several of the shelves are empty. Several of the refrigerated sections are empty with stale water in them and signs that say "do not open". The place has a horrible smell to it and the quality of their produce was horrendous. My grocery shopping experience was a let down and I left out of there completely disgusted. I should have known better being that the parking lot was mostly empty on a Saturday afternoon. To make matters worse, I had too much water at lunch and had to use the restroom before I hit the road. OMG! This was the most disgustingly filthy public bathroom I've seen in a very long time. Filthy sink, filthy stool and filthy floors. The board of health needs to go look into this place. Now after unpacking my groceries I see this brown thing that wasn't there when I picked up my chicken drumsticks. I turned on my phones light to see if I could get a better idea of WTF is this? As I zoomed in on the photo it does look as if my drumsticks may be bug infested. YIKES!! I'll return it back to CoxFarms Market so they can figure it out. I am not an Agricultural expert. I've not have bad experience shopping here and I know things happen but I'd think a Farms Market would double check and recheck the meats, and produce displays routinely. Not sure if I'll get meats from here again. I'll stick with the fruits, washing and soaking them in Baking Soda before eating. The chicken I can't begin to imagine eating now.

BEWARE: make sure you always check your food / snacks from bulk section I bought some of the watermelon chili candies today, ate a couple at home then looked at one of them out of pure randomness and noticed something moving...it was a maggot I never spit out something so fast in my life Was told on the phone there's no way maggots could be in these candies... Went to the store and literally had to show them the whole bucket had more maggots... "best they could do" was refund my $5... A precious attendant asked me if I really wanted to check out here because it takes long to add the coupon to the system as it would have to be done manually. I had already scanned all of my items except the chicken. I told him I'd rather not have to go check out again at a normal line (which is what he suggested). He said "okay, scan the chicken and I can help out when done". I scanned it and as I was finishing he walked away! To the back of the store. Not to be seen. I hit the "help" button and Jesus comes in, I explained the situation and he took the time to add my coupons. What a saint. What a wonderful attitude he had. I told him next time I won't be such a bother and he was so polite telling me it was no issue at all. Please keep him and give him a raise. We need more people like him. JESUS, YOU MADE MY DAY WUTH YOUR KINDNESS. I SWEAR YOU ARE AN ANGEL!
