I'm just disappointed that I'm treated like an outcast and someone that's not respected enough to get acknowledged or noticed by the cashier associates. I went in at 9 AM to grab a few things and all Kroger associates keep their heads down and don't want to make eye contact, which is strange. Even the one cashier working the checkout stand refused to acknowledge me when I tried putting my stuff up on the conveyor belt. I was next in line, but she refused to give me a glance and acknowledge that I was there. That was the first sign of disrespect and that it was going to be an uncomfortable shopping experience if I stayed with her, so I took my stuff and went over to the self checkout area and at least I got a glance and a nod from the man that was monitoring that area. After I finished scanning everything and bagged up all of my items, I asked him to print out a receipt because it didn't print out one automatically. When I asked him if I had done everything properly and correctly with the transaction because the receipt didn't print, he ignored me and didn't answer me. So, basically I'm tired of the silent treatment from store employees when I shop, speak or ask valid questions. read more

I gave this store a lone star review a couple of years ago for a variety of reasons. But, wait, I have good news. At least for this visit. I visited the Las Colinas Kroger store mid morning to pick up a few products, including capers for a special breakfast: bagel and lox. We couldn't find capers in the pickle area. No, it's not the end of the world, but it would be a tasty touch. I asked a young lady dressed like an employee if she worked for the store. She said, "Actually, I'm in pharmacy, but happy to help." She walked me to the customer service area, got the location information, and took me to where I could find the product. Her name is Courtney. She's impressive because she went the extra step literally. This doesn't erase any bad experiences you and I may have had with this store, but it's nice to share something positive. I hope management will recognize her in some way. And with H-E-B just announcing their new Las Colinas store, they have new competition ahead -- and would benefit from team members like Courtney. read more

I've been going to Kroger stores since I was a child with my mother in the mid 1970's. I been into quite a few spread out across Texas and other States but this location is the absolute worst one. The store Manager should be ashamed. The employees treat customers like they are dirt under their nails. The only way u can get the nerve to enter now is to have a few drinks about 15 minutes before entering. If I don't, it feels like maggots are crawling all over me. I guess since this place is always so busy they feel like they can be there selves. I can't wait for HEB to open down the street next year. I AM DONE !!! Have been shopping at this location for seven years now and I am DONE. We always shop on Sunday morning early and in the past there was always one checkout lane open. Bern used to work Sunday mornings and was so nice and always above and beyond. Since she is not there anymore the checkout lane is spotty and I am not going to self-checkout a weeks worth of groceries at that tiny little station with the machine constantly accusing me of stealing when I am not there is just no room to put anything. We had the help is on the way lady come at least five times. to review the security footage. WTF KROGERS I spend thousands of dollars a year at this location. This location needs more reliable workers. My grocery pick up order is NEVER ready at its scheduled time and it's very frustrating. I can always expect to receive a call stating they only have two people working and my order will be ready hours later or the next day. Perhaps this is more indicative of where we are headed as a country instead of just specific to this particular Kroger, so I won't take any points away for the empty shelves in these recent photos. I'll only mention it's alarming since unless something changes, it seems like the worse is yet to come. I cannot even fathom being a parent with a child that relies on baby formula and not being able to find it. Seeing that shelf totally empty each visit is sad to me and I don't even need formula for my family. The 3-star review is for "everything else". The largest issue I have with this Kroger is the checkout process. Literally every time I go there, at least one product rings up wrong or a coupon doesn't work for some inexplicable reason. And don't roll your eyes at me when I complain, even if it's "only" 80 cents. If I chose a product based on the sale price, even if it were 10 cents wrong I am going to point it out. My assumption is if you get enough of us complaining over 80 cent errors maybe you'll get your act together and be more accurate in the future. I also don't appreciate when I OFTEN see other customers at this specific location reach up and over the seafood counter glass to point at what they want and your seafood workers say nothing about it. I miss my old supermarket! Change always happens and nothing bigger than knowing your favorite supermarket does not exist in the state you're in. So they have Kroger and I find the prices here are WAY TOO HIGH! This make me miss my old supermarket, Publix . The cleanliness is not the same, the food prices on everything makes me want to shop elsewhere like Target or Costco. They do have a few positive spotlights but they aren't the supermarket of my choice. Even the pharmacy operates differently. They aren't as fast and efficient as my old place. As far as appearances go, one of the nicer grocery stores in Irving. Unfortunately, it's a pretty inefficient one. On almost every visit I have had to wait 5+ minutes in the checkout line because the cashiers and baggers are just not productive here. For the most part it's your regular old reliable Kroger. They recently added this new section of pre-frozen, pre-cooked self-serve dinners that you scoop by the pound into little tubs. OMG where to start. The cashier last Friday was extremely rude. Things are a mess and they have way expired items in the dairy section. It's a mess. It's a very large store and one half (the produce and wine side) is nice and clean and the other half is a disaster it's almost like a dollar store, disorganized and dirty. Employees are rude and ignore you when you ask questions. I hate the self checkout, their machines don't work well half the time, they only give you like 2 seconds to bag your things a lot of times it goes "PLEASE PLACE ITEM IN THE BAG" when you have already put it there and it makes me feel like they are watching me to see if I'm stealing anything. so I try to always get in a cashier lane but those are slow and the cashiers are rude. And the restrooms are DISGUSTING. Its too bad Target doesn't carry as many things but I'll try to do as much of my shopping at Target where the employees are nice and useful and avoid this Kroger from now on. read more

Pretty bad experience here last Friday around 9:15 pm. There were a lot of people in the store, they closed the self-checkout lanes and checking out was extremely slow. I was looking for some specific items and every employee I asked was unhelpful, and they were out of a couple of things or the shelves were such a mess that I couldn't find them. But the worst was the cashier...I made a little joke about the lines, and she almost bit my head off...telling me that customers expect too much (like not standing in line for 25 minutes on a Friday evening, maybe?), that they can't hire more people and that she's tired of customers complaining. As soon as I paid she turned off her light and left my stuff for me to bag. Funny, the Target a couple hundred yards north doesn't seem to have those issues. The employees there are actually helpful and nice! Checking out during the evening can also be a bit slow there, but overall it's a much better experience. Hell, even the Wal-Mart seems to be better stocked and have better service. The great thing about this Kroger is that there are many better, friendlier options nearby. Next time I'll go to Sprouts, Whole Foods, Target, Wal-mart, or drive a bit to the Tom Thumb by the Four Seasons. But I'm not coming to this Kroger again. read more

The lines are always fairly lengthy and sadly, the customer service ranks lowest of any grocery store. Last visit, the self-checkout machine was disgusting. the attendant was present, but she was busy dancing around and playing with her co-worker. She had the time to clean the machines, but I guess she felt the urge to dance instead! Go girl! The self checkouts are notorious for calling for attendants so come with your patience. I'm originally from Houston and waiting for the HEBs to open up so Dallas Krogers can learn a thing or two about treating customers right. When I've done curbside pickup with HEB and they don't have an item, they would call and get things straightened out and even ask what I'd like done instead. Kroger! What the heck happened to you?? I was a fan of this Kroger until the past year. Sadly, there are few options in this area for grocery shopping at a reasonable price. Plus, the location is very convenient and I love getting nice discounts at their gas station. But dang, they are in need of serious help! This Kroger has turned into an expensive Aldi. Why on earth do they not employ more people to bag the groceries and to fetch grocery carts? It is not uncommon at all now that we have to bag our own purchases. I am not above this at all, but it is very difficult to keep an eye on prices that ring up as they are being scanned. At least half the time, something rings up incorrectly. I have now just selected a grocery cart in the parking lot because most of the time, the only carts in the store are those that are broken or frustratingly stuck to another. A few days ago during my shopping trip, there were LONG lines of customers at the registers with only four employees working. Oh, and one employee to assist at the self-check section, so several of those registers were closed. No managers were visible. NONE. I felt really sorry for those employees who were working their behinds off and trying to keep up with the mounting customers. Come on, Kroger. This is one of your most profitable stores. You can definitely afford to employ more people! read more

This is our "go to" grocery store during our weekend getaways since it's right down the road from our usual hotel. I do like grocery stores that offer sales. I love saving $. Kroger requires you to have a loyalty card but you can easily pick one up if you don't already have one... otherwise you'll be paying full price for sale items. I'm not 100% used to the set up of this store so I always end up forgetting something and having to trek back to the other side of the store. Personally I feel like the set up is a bit odd... doesn't seem to flow well but hey, that's just me. I do like the self checkouts, especially when I don't have a ton of groceries. Makes checking out super quick. Employees always seem friendly. read more

This Kroger needs to do better. I go here because the prices are good and they reliably carry major brands. Overall, the experience is terrible. My two main complaints are: - There are never enough carts, no matter when I go. Also, the carts that are there always have one wonky wheel which makes navigating the cart very difficult. - I don't know why they have so many check-out lanes when they are never more than 40% utilized, even during peak Saturday rush. The self-checkout software needs an update because it can't handle if you scan too fast, too slow, don't leave 10 seconds in between items for it to reset itself, or even breathe in its general direction. You'd think they would make it easier. I have been going here for years though, because I don't want to pay Whole Foods prices on everything, so I guess I'll still be back. I hope they step up their game when the Sprouts comes in and there will be competition. read more

This is my go to store for grabbing a few items. I may not get everything at Kroger, but the main grocery items I get here. I have noticed that their sales have improved and I seem to be saving more. They do have a good selection of items. I know that anything I cannot find at other stores I can find here. Also, I love the fact that I can collect gas points and there is a gas station right outside of the store. Also, it is pretty easy to get in and out of the store particularly the self check outs. What a disappointing experience. I often need money orders for random amounts due to my job. I stopped at this location and waited in line at the money center. I needed a money order for .40 which is a small amount. I was told that the minimum was $1, which I agreed to, and then the employee at the next register said it was more than that and needed to be over a dollar. They called the manager, who took a while to call back. I told the employee I was okay with purchasing a $1.40 money order and paying the fee. The manager called back and said it was a $10 minimum. I have NEVER heard of a policy such as this and have gone to other stores without issue. I asked if this was a Kroger policy and was told it was the manager's discretion. How incredibly unkind of the manager to refuse the sale. It wouldn't matter if the money order were a penny or $10; they would have received the same amount for the money order. I went down the street to the post office, where they were okay with selling me a .40 money order. I have never heard of minimums being placed on money orders, and the staff and management were just being difficult. It would not have affected them just to be kind and sell the money order, whether it was 40 cents or $1.40. This is no way to treat customers and is a significant turn-off to wanting to return. Inconveniencing your customers is a great way to turn them away from your store. Do better. read more

If you want to save more get the app on your phone and download the coupons. Once you punch in your number during checkout it will apply the club card and online coupons you clicked. I would give this store 0 stars but I had to select 1. Was shopping at this Kroger and went buy quinoa when I came across a pleasant surprise. There was literal human feces (poop) on the shelving and between the bags of quinoa that was making them stick together. The smell was atrocious and the manager had nothing to say for it. One of my cats has really bad gas and pukes a lot and only responds well to Blue Buffalo Sensitive System. This Kroger has Blue Buffalo pet food for almost half the price as PetCo/PetSmart. It's 25 bucks at this Kroger for a 15 lb bag and 40-50 at pet stores. Also, if you're lucky, you might see a random hair braid that's fallen out of someone's head on the ground!
