I have not visited this store but as someone who has family members in the grocery business I can tell you that complaints about any store these days are unfair. NO ONE WANTS A JOB AND IF THEY DO THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK. People don't show up for interviews and if they do they are hired if they have a pulse. They quit at the drop of a dime and/ or don't show up for their shifts and use lame excuses if they bother to call at all. The people who do show up for their job are asked to cover for the people that aren't showing up. It's a sad reality that people and their attitudes about work have changed. People need to have Grace when dealing with people trying to serve you and keep the stores going. read more

This Kroger has a great selection of food and other items. I know I can find what I'm looking for here, and they haven't let me down yet. Only 1 time I went when lines were super long- but who isn't short staffed during this time? I get it & I understand that. All the other times I've been, it's been in and out no problem. This location is steadily going downhill quickly. It used to be my favorite Kroger, especially when it was first built & I would drive out of my way, to shop there. However, today the carts stay cluttered throughout the parking lot. If you happen to find one, the majority of them are no good. No excuse not to get rid of those & purchase new ones. There is NEVER enough cashiers. Many times only one cashier, with a long line. I do not work for Kroger & therefore, will not use the self-checkouts. Not to mention, the ongoing issues, within the self-checkout. Baggers? Very rarely. And, certainly not enough to assist customers & monitor the parking lot. Once again, I do not work for Kroger & want an employee to bag my groceries. According to other reviews, these same issues have been ongoing for years & yet, nothing has been done. I don't understand why management does not "double-book" employees shifts, to allocate for the no-show employees. These issues are a reflection of management at this location. The Sandy Lake/Beltline Coppell Kroger, is such a nice store. It's not as big (fine with me), the parking lot is maintained, plenty of cashiers & baggers. The store is cleaned & organized. And, I often see management walking around the store. At Tom Thumb, it's all "hands on deck" when customers are standing in line. Employees are crossed-trained from other departments & even store management, assist on the registers. I certainly hope this Kroger will get their act together & fast. In the meantime, customers are shopping elsewhere. Too bad, there's not much competition in Irving. I'm hoping an HEB or Albertson's, will be built in our city soon. read more

It's clean and has good quality selection. More product than Target or Walmart, and fresher than Walmart. The only things I don't like are the prices. Some things are way overpriced. I've been a Kroger customer for 20 years but that's about to change. Today after work there was ONE employee assisting about 15 self-checkouts. I waited probably 15 minutes just to get them to clear a screen (which happens all the time I don't know why) and lots of other people needed their screens cleared too. Disappointed that I had to maneuver around so many employees pulling product for online orders during my most recent visit. YES! I've been coming here ever since I moved in around the corner because it's the closest grocery store to my home, but tonight was the last straw. The customer service is not only nonexistent, it is egregiously rude and always makes me question whether a close grocery store is worth the frustration and anger upon each visit. Many times they just throw your groceries into the bags, regardless if fragile or not, no simple hello or thank you, no eye contact, and an exasperated sigh of annoyance and relief as you walk out after patronizing this location. But this time, the cashier dropped a canteloupe melon and rather than acknowledging her mistake, she continued with the check out process as if to charge me for an item she just damaged and not saying a word. After confronting her and saying she dropped my melon and I would not like to pay, she snapped back saying she didn't drop it-- it fell from where she placed it. After saying she just got into my face about the issue rather than resolving it, she said "if I got into your face, you would know it." This is the treatment you all will eventually receive if you keep patronizing this location because the large amount of awful employees here are like cancer eating this place alive... No one decent will want to be hired here and all you're left with is the toxic portion of the community you don't see elsewhere in Las Colinas... read more

Take a buddy because this place is HUGE. I was going to a party in the area and needed to pick up snacks. At 7pm on a Saturday, it was packed! The parking lot was full, it felt a bit claustrophobic inside, and if you needed help finding something, you're on your own. That being said, it looked like all hands were on deck as all the checkout counters were staffed and moving. They also have a big self checkout area, which is not my favorite, but convenient when it is this busy. If this is not your usual grocery store, it is not easy to just run in. However, the selection is impressive. I was specifically looking for pita chips. I looked on the chip isle and found brussel sprout puffs (who knew that was a thing), but no pita chips. I got distracted just by seeing uncommon things. And I go to a LOT of grocery stores. They're kind of my jam. I finally found them by the produce, but it was a hunt. I didn't see any employees about to ask for help so I was just wandering around. If you're not familiar with it, this store can be intimidating. But if you live in the area, it seems like a good option because of the selection. The produce looked good, there was no smell from the meat department, and it was clean. read more

I love Kroger and have been shopping at Kroger since I was old enough to drive. This Kroger location is my current Kroger that I live closest to and have worked near since 2004. I was very excited when they announced plans to expand because it was always sooooo crowded. This didn't help at all, though. The expansion brought in more people, and the floorplan of where goods are located just doesn't flow or make sense. I sometimes look in 3 locations in the store to find a specific cheese. Chips are in at least 2 locations. I understand organic is separate from the crap, but can it be on the same aisle, at least? The good is that Kroger always surprises me with some thing new on a monthly basis. Today, I came across vanilla almond creamer! They have a huge selection of organic food. Literally, this Kroger is a Whole Foods in disguise...but better because there are brands (Boar's Head!) I can get at Kroger and, obviously, it's all cheaper. The produce is fresh and there's a great variety. Kroger does a great job of bringing in new brands and new organic products. There's a Starbucks, and it's good. The bad is that no matter the day, the lines are long and you will always have to wait. Only half the lines, if that, are open. There is not much room between checkout and the aisles. The store is picked over on the weekends, so you have to shop on Mondays after they restock. I don't have time to shop on Monday's. I can rarely find a parking spot, so I've relegated myself to parking in the back 40 every time. I don't even try anymore. I'm gonna still go krogering but really hoping we can get a new Kroger in LC or expansion or just better mgmt even. read more

Their grocery pickup is awful. Ordered pickup last week. Staff told me it wouldn't be ready at my 1pm pickup time. My order wasn't ready until 6-7pm. This week, they called me and said my 1pm order was delayed AGAIN except this time, my order wasn't ready until Tuesday at 10am. I ordered my groceries on the app for a pick up yesterday afternoon, scheduled to pick up at 5pm today. I drive up, check in and let them know I'm there. A few minutes later, someone comes out stating, "We don't have your order ready. Can you come back tomorrow?" What? Are you serious? I ordered them because I needed the items on the list today!! They said they were short handed and someone called me to let me know it would not be ready today. I did not have any missed calls! I then just parked and went into the store to retrieve the items myself. Horrible, horrible customer service! They're always moving stuff around. After shopping there I still have to shop Walmart or others to finish. More often than not I have to bag my own groceries. Most of their sales are on their own brands, seldom name brands. Their brands should be discounted as the regular price. Just a way to gouge another penny on their own products. Since moving to Dallas, Kroger has been one of my primary spots for buying gasoline. Believe it or not I can count on one hand the number of times I've shopped in the actual store itself. As for a gas station, it works for me. The prices are always competitive and with the use of the "Kroger Card" the price is reduced by 3 cents per gallon. This particular location tends to be very busy during the evening rush hour. This translates to waiting in line for a gas pump. Thankfully, all of the pumps are in working order whenever I visit. Currently the entrance and parking area around the gas station is under construction so proceed with caution when entering and exiting. read more

This is one of the most built out and enhanced Krogers in existence, and even so it's abysmal. The parking lot is an absolute disaster, the carts and paved areas are equipped with magnetic wheel disabling devices, which in theory should stop people from heisting shopping carts or taking them where they don't belong. However, this system is clearly locking the wheels of nearly every cart in service there, causing piles of immobilized carts to barricade the entrance. Selection is fairly decent, but it's really the same old story. The meat and seafood are really quite disappointing. I purchased a Nolan Ryan Prime Ribeye, which ended up having the flavor and consistency of a USDA Select steak. On-ad shrimp were previously frozen, from Indonesia, and were carelessly defrosted to be put on display. Wine and beer selection is only slightly more feature rich than a standard Kroger, but there are some decent vintages to be had. Customer service is unexceptional, but there really isn't anything to complain about specifically. Due to frequent, seemingly unnecessary, renovations it's very difficult to find what you're looking for. Their prices for pantry items and other basics are often times aggressive, beating other area supermarket options. The deli, in typical Kroger fashion, is loaded with Boar's Head products, which is a nice step up from say Tom Thumb, or even Market Street. You won't find anything of a more premium nature, say Niman Ranch, however Boar's Head is a happy medium. Another confusing aspect of this Kroger is the veritable horde of cash registers that they have available, with only 2-3 ever being manned outside of the self checkout. I actually like this Kroger. I usually go here when I need something quick to pick up for lunch. Usually their salads. They also have those sushi guys there making sushi all the time. That is okay, but usually there for the salads or if they have a sale on briskets to smoke. Other then that, the lines move fast when you try to check out and the fact that they have those self check out makes it a lot easier. The only issue I have is the traffic congestion that often occurs when you go here. The layout of the parking lot is not easy to get in and out. read more

Since they remodeled the store it has been much nicer to shop but still can't find everything . Store is much bigger and more spread out and o have not walked more then half the store . Much more room between the isles and more open feel . Employees are friendly and willing to help but still have to say not all are that way . You'd never expect it, but lunch here at Kroger's Deli is something you'll want to experience again and again. A wide variety of hot meals ready to serve, prepared meals to go ready-to-reheat, and cold sides and salads compliment a gourmet made-to-order sandwich bar. Oh, and there's a dedicated sushi chef at that station and a traditional salad bar. Could you ask for any more choices? I go twice a week or more often for the food, the value and the super-friendly service. All the counter personnel in the Deli seem genuinely proud of their work and greet you with warm hospitality. Sometimes the food quality leaves me wanting which is why they aren't getting more stars. But, I have left happy and full so many times, and I keep going back, so it's worthy the "A-OK" rating easily. Steer clear of the Swedish meatballs but dig in to the new carrot soufflé and the rotisserie chicken salad. I often top it off with a $1 slice of cake they have on the tables nearby. I have had mostly good experiences with this Kroger. It is conveniently located right next to my house, and so is the fuel center so we always make sure to get our in 10+ cents off of gas each time we go to the store. When we go, it is generally always clean. Save for the bathrooms which are unpredictable in retail. The carts look worn, as happens in retail. The shelves are pretty much always stocked completely, save for a few items here and there. I have never had a problem finding somebody to help me out, including one manager that gave me their pen when I forgot it for my shopping list. They have always been friendly, and I think only once or twice they had run out of carts. I usually freeze meat when it comes home, because if I know I'm not gonna use it within the first two days. I would rather not waste it. I have not had an issue with the meat going rancid quickly, but I have had an issue with the fruit and vegetables. They tend to go bad very quickly. Are usually buy them when I'm going to be using them. Even if it means making multiple trips. There are some things that will last a few days. There are somethings that will last a few weeks. But I mostly get their frozen vegetables now since it is basically the same thing just frozen. I will continue to frequent this location, not just because of the benefits. But because I do genuinely like it. The prices are fair, and the staff has always been pretty friendly. read more

Ok so I've been to this place numerous times and I have mixed feelings about it. I prefer my other location close to Downtown Dallas. So this place is close to half price books, hallmark and bath and body work. Parking is terrible for me and their are more carts outside the store than in it. I don't like the layout of this place probably because the other Kroger has me spoiled and I know where everything is I HATE CHECKOUT! So at this location it reminds me of Costco where you give your cart to the cashier, they unload it and someone is bagging your groceries. I don't like that because I want to unload my own groceries so I can organize them on the belt how I would like for them to be bagged. Also I like to separate my household shopping from my food to see how much I've spent and I can't do that here either. I try to use self check out here when I can but today I had to get a lot of groceries since I didn't have any. This location is packed and it's a diverse crowd. I've never seen so many Indians in my life in this city or a store. Their kids all over the place and it reminds me of Wal-mart and that's why I left their store because of the quality of people that shops there. I only come to this location when I have to from work otherwise I rather got to the one I like. The employees are ok. Can't say they are friendly or rude. They do tend to have items on the shelf of things I need so that's good. So that's why they are only getting 3 stars from me. read more

Now that the renovations are complete, I actually pass another Kroger to shop at this one. Speaking of renovations, I also think the store doesn't flow it's 'feng shui' is off. After the renovation, there's more inventory to select from ...the aisle are wider, but this store can be very over crowded after work and Sunday afternoons. They have sushi chefs preparing fresh sushi rolls that are pretty good for grocery store. A large produce section, but they never seem to have fresh mint it's hit-or-miss and they don't have sharp cheddar individually wrapped sliced cheese. The employees have elevated their customer service, everyone is nice and very helpful. Starbucks is a plus. read more
