It works for standard groceries, but they also have an outstanding produce selection, as well as many premade meals and sides that you can acquire for a quick take-home dinner. They have a sizable selection of beef and seafood. The beef includes both Wagyu and dry-aged choices, so you can get some really unique cuts here. They have a large beer and wine section as well. The way the store is organized is straightforward and makes for a fun circuitous walk-through. If you are looking for traditional brand items, you may be disappointed. There is a heavy focus on organics, but I also like the fact that they have many local brands. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and we rarely wait long for checkout. read more

Came in on December 23 and picked up some groceries for Christmas dinner. Two pies on were pecan and the other was Dutch apple. Came home and placed the pies into the refrigerator. I'm super bummed that I arrived at the catering counter and found no one there. I arrived immediately after work to place my order that I need for a baby shower next week. I walked into the store at 5:50PM on a Wednesday evening and there was no one to greet me. Some workers noticed me waiting, approached and kindly told me that "the catering team went home for the day". However, the catering department is advertised, on their own brochures, that they are claiming to be open every Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 6:30PM. I'm very disappointed with the lack of service that was provided to me, and also the false advertising. I love Central Market. Today I tried their coffee shop on a Saturday morning. The hot soy matcha latte was perfect. It was just sweet enough and the matcha flavor was perfect. My partner got an iced americano, and I've never heard him say "this is a good americano!" we've been to a lot of coffee places, his favorite is starbucks for context. Tons of seating upstairs and some on the ground floor. They had free raspberry and lime water which was divine. Good amount of parking because it's a plaza. But it could fill up fast. This is Not my favorite Central Market. Items that I purchased were not as fresh. I purchased mini pumpkins for decor for Autumn...already decaying!!!! Also the meat department is sub-par. By far the best grocery store I've been in. I walked in and they gave me fresh hot apple cider with some kind of cookie that was delicious, I also got some fresh pears as a sample as well. All the fruit and produce was perfectly placed and so fresh and fully stocked. The service was immaculate, EVERY section I went in, I was offered helped and they had great recommendations. Everyone was so nice here. I've never been in a store with as many samples as they had this day. I had enchiladas, red honey chutney which was a 10/10, I immediately bought it along with the crackers as well. I also had fish with vegetables, 5 samples of red wine, potatoes and pecan coffee pie which was a great end to my sample tour. I'll visit this store 10xs over for sure!! I'm so upset because central market is a favorite of mine and I come to this location whenever I am in town. I stopped by before my flight at Love Field to pick up a sandwich and I found a piece of trash in my food. It looks like a plastic/metal tie ribbon. I couldn't eat after this. I'm very disappointed. Such a beautiful grocery store! So many unique brands but you can also find your classics. I absolutely love the presentation of the grocery store and how many "home made" options they had available. More choices of coffee, wine, peppers, apples, etc., etc. than you can find in most grocery stores anywhere. Folks were really nice, and I was splitting time between shopping and sightseeing. Sign me up for anything related the H-E-B grocery chain. I think I've been to all of the Central Markets in Texas. This newer location on Northwest is in my top 3. It has all of the bells and whistles of CM. This is perfect for those in the neighborhood. If you have to travel some miles to get to a CM, then it may be a little off-putting that it is not That close to a freeway because of all of the traffic lights. A minor inconvenience but always worth the trip. read more

I absolutely LOVE Central Market - it's just a little pricier than the regular grocery store I go to, so I don't go very often. But I love their honey toasted pecans! And their apricots are great, too! And their chocolate truffles. They also have a wide selection of fresh seafood! Maybe it's because I don't visit often enough, but I always have a hard time finding things I want. The store itself is very clean, but I just don't understand their organization, even when using their signage. Maybe that's just me. Whenever I've visited, it's been pretty busy. It's less pretentious than a Whole Foods, but definitely on the pricey end. There's a cafe for sitting and eating, expansive wine selection, deli, cheeses, seafood, coffee, produce, flowers. He is always smiling and being so friendly to the customers whenever I saw him. Not a bad store. Like every other central market, things are priced a bit higher than normally what you would find in other stores. Everything in the store was clean, neat and in order. All the shelves seem stocked. One thing I don't like is it seems like you have to go in the little maze that appears to be set up! It's not so much an open grocery store. You walk in and you have to go this direction! I actually went into that store just to grab a something premade to eat. I grabbed a tomato and mozzarella sandwich and a can of sparkling water for a lunch. I wanted to do something different for lunch. It wasn't bad. The sandwich and water together cost right at $7.00 It also seemed busy in the store. It was Saturday afternoon, people inside were blocking the aisles when they stopped to look at things. People walking in front of you. The parking lot was also busy. There aren't many parking spaces, and you have to compete with other consumers for other stores in the little mall area for a spot. read more

I asked him to prepare a Chai Latte with Almond Milk... If his life depended on it, then he will live FOREVER. I don't think I've had a Chai Latte that good in my life. About the only thing I don't like about Central Market is that they are pricey. However, if you are looking for top quality foods supplies, they are definitely the place to go. My wife and I went a couple of days ago, and got what we wanted ... and then some. First of all, they had the Brooklyn hot dogs. We also got some of the heirloom cherry tomatoes. They are phenomenal! The flavor of those things is awesome. I guess my only gripe is that whoever bakes the pumpernickel bread for them bakes them a little too hard. It's hard to find great pumpernickel. Normally we go to the store in Plano, but this is a much better store. The customers are generally more conscious of those around them, and are nice to be around. read more

This is a great grocery store. I often stop here from my way home from work and grab samples and walk around. It's a large store so you rarely feel cramped and the food selection is second to none. The meats can be a little expensive but most everything else is reasonably priced. The meats are very good though if you're willing to spend a little extra. Never shopping this location again. Ordered flowers for the guest book table at a funeral. Spent 15-20 minutes placing the order, going over flower choices and colors. Went in to pick up the order and they'd lost it. They were going to let me leave the store empty handed until I walked back in and asked for a manager. He had them make the two arrangements on the spot. While making them the girl who took my order said she had no memory of taking the order 4 days prior. So I reminded her of the order details and that I had to take a minute while placing the order because I almost started crying. Worst Central Market in Dallas. I was very excited to visit this store and actually went twice within a three day span before returning home to Arizona. The first trip was ok but it was the second trip that was what earned a two star rating. First off, it's located between a major airport and some nice homes, convenient. However, my issue was with the person working the wine area, she probably considers herself a connoisseur yet fails to realize she isn't in the south of France. I will say I went in looking for a wine that is sold in the HEB store, based off the recommendation of a friend. I was enjoying my browsing experience until she approached me and asked if I needed help. However, after replying yes and to what wine I was looking for, she came off very rude and condescending. She informed me they ONLY sell high end wines and that they compete with higher end grocers and that the only wines she carries are California and international wines. She said HEB was more like Walmart and the wine I was looking for was like boxed wine. Hmmmmm, interesting considering CM is owed by HEB and is a Texas store... insert eye roll here. So when I stressed the question of no Texas wines, she gives a sigh and finds some random rose. Ok lady thanks for your less than helpful customer service and stellar attitude. That whole situation left me with a less than bitter opinion of this store. read more

This Central Market was great up until the last six months or so. I never minded paying more than I would at Kroger or Tom Thumb when the quality and freshness justified it. I've bought precooked shrimp cocktail where the shrimp has been dry, crumbly, and smelled awful. More recently a lot of the heat and eat dinners I like for dinner have had smaller portions of meat or salmon... but the price hasn't gone down. The apple, cherry, cheese Danish that used to be a huge downfall for me now look unappetizing... overbaked and sloppily packaged. Since the quality has gone downhill I'll go back to my routine of buying some groceries at Tom Thumb and some at Whole Foods. Hopefully this store will find a way to get itself back on track, until then I'll be hitting two different grocery stores. read more

I'm from Houston & live near a pleathera of HEBs. HEB is my favorite store, and there's not a lot here. Although this is about as close as I can get to the nearest HEB, it reminds me of both Wholefoods and Aldi at the same. Definitely doesn't give me the HEB vibe. I say Wholefoods because there are some fancy over priced items like their fruits and veggies on ice, high dollar meat & seafood. Regular dry goods remind me of HEB. But some prices are too high, & somone about right for HEB. Whose paying $7 or $9 for spaghetti sauce!!! I say Aldi, becuase they don't stalk their shelves or buy the same things consistently. Like Aldi, what you bought and feel in love with last time, may not be there this time. My favorite tea...saw it last time, not there this weekend. My favorite ice cream...HEB brand rockey road...there last time, not there this time. I like HEB because I know I can consistently buy the same things I like for a good price. Here, it's hit & miss. Parking is tight as it's in a shopping center with a million other storees and restaurants. But overall it's a decent place to shop. They just need to keep their shelves stalked. I always see lots of empty spaces. Like the chips I like, empty. Even if I like the same thing everyone else likes, and that's why it's not there---stalk up!
