It is always fun to walk around Trader Joe's because they have a variety of groceries to chose from. They have cheap flowers, a decent sized produce section, a fun frozen food section, if you want to try pasta, meatballs, or items you can't find in a regular grocery store this is the place to go. They also have a cool beer selection and desserts. I wouldn't go here everyday to shop but I love to come occasionally to see what I can find. This time I got sparkling water. They were huge and only .99 a piece. Also this location is amazing because it is in Bishop Arts and close to a lot of cool restaurants and shops. I look forward to going back again. read more

Stunning store - impeccably clean and well stocked. The veggie/fruit section is phenomenal...I was blown away after formerly shopping in the East Bay (CA) which had shriveled veggies and so many expired items - ick! It wasn't until my friends asked me why I was spending so much $$$ @ Whole Paycheck. They were spot on...I was having a party and restocking my pantry...I think this TJ saved me $100. Love TJ's for all the specialty items, but none are close to me so I visit this location when in this part of town. If you've visited one you know the staples they have: I love coming for specialty items at a more affordable price than some other stores. Extra points for their handling of Covid! This location keeps a sanitizing station outside with wipes and sanitizer, and they had staff there staggering shoppers to limit capacity within the store which was great. While I miss the samples, I appreciate their prioritizing safety. read more

If you happen to live equal distance from this Trader Joe's and another, choose the other... trust me. The parking garage is tricky. If you're buying a week's worth of groceries, good luck getting it back to your car. The food quality seems to be subpar at this location. I often buy salmon from their other location and have never had an issue with it. The first and last time I buy salmon from this location, the fish is fishy even though the use by date was 5 days out. I also bought bagged apples from this location and I just noticed a squishy oozing apple in my bag after opening it for the first time. Their staff and clientele skews younger, so I think that may have something to do with the lacking quality of food and service. The last time I was there, a couple days ago, 3 team members were chatting in front of the refrigerated vegetables. After trying to get around them multiple times, they stood there like statues. The night I went, there was a freezer that wasn't working... I'm sure it happens from time to time, but I've never witnessed it before. So that really adds to my experience. The vibes at this location is weird too. The customers don't smile, just stare at each other, and always seem like life is soooo hard. College crowd. Lol. If you're just picking up a couple snacks or seasonings, this location is fine... but that's about it. read more

First off, is it me or is this Trader Joe's just full of good looking people. It's crazy, it's always busy and everyone is good looking; regardless if you're in comfy clothes, sportswear, or business casual. Beyond that, this Trader Joe's is just great all around. They have a flower/green installation outside for those passing by or coming in to get a sneak peak at items. If you've been to Trader Joe's you know what to expect in terms of grocery items. This location takes it up a notch, with different sample setups around the store. We had a gingerbread and cream filled cookie. Last week they sampled wine and a jelly candy. The prices are good and you can look up Tik Tok or IG for recipes specific to Trader Joe' items. The staff is very friendly and there for any help you need. A triple threat. One of my favorite grocery stores with the best foods. Loved they TJ followed Covid-19 guidelines during the peak of the pandemic and prioritized those more susceptible to Covid-19 sequelae by offering special hours. My friend once said that this store is comparable to if an outer space grocery store. It has a good variety of fresh/raw foods, the BEST (and appetizing) frozen foods, fantastic array of wine, and plants. I love the plant collection, and I think TJ is work for recognizing lunar new year. Again, they have the best plants with great prices. Finally, the staff are always nice. Oh did I say I liked their disposable/recyclable brown bags? Favorite frozen food - frozen jasmine rice, broccoli and beef, orange chicken, the soup dumplings shrimp tempura. The Asian frozen varieties are also good. Cultural Additions - I really appreciate TJ recognizing lunar new year and other holidays. Loved the specific flowers for new year. I'm such a big fan of Trader Joe's! For those who are concerned, they are following social distancing/health safety guidelines in regards to COVID-19. When I visited, they had a staff member outside with bottles of hand sanitizer making sure customers were wearing a mask. Inside, the cash registers have plexiglas to limit contact. So I felt safe visiting the store. As for parking, there is a garage right next to the store! Very convenient. I love the great quality and healthy food you can find at TJ's! I love finding seasonal items, although it makes me sad when they disappear when they're "out of season." I always go into TJ's thinking it'll be a quick and small shopping trip and end up with 3 full bags of food! read more

A grocery store does not open at 9 am, that's a standard retail shop of some sort. This store is local to me, within walking distance and usually opened at 8 am, so I did my shopping there because I don't like a lot of foot traffic and like to get things done before work. Now, I do not have that opportunity and Tom Thumb has more selection and better hours. I would prefer Trader Joes but my god, 9 am opening to a grocery store. 8 am is later than I want, but 9? People have started their work day by that time. Poor move management. I know it really doesn't matter to you guys that one guy can't shop when he wants. There is no way in all of God's green goodness that I would go there after work. It's a nightmare. read more

A few things peeps should know about every millennials' favorite grocery. ***** - Friendliest staff ever: Whether checking to see if they have bok choy or sharing food gossip about newest, tastiest, and sexiest items they offer, I want to shout out this location's trainer. (Keep kickin' butt, hermanx.) I always feel so comfortable talking to them. - Chicken, meat, and seafood selection: Consistently fresh and reasonably priced--even the organic items. I particularly love their marinated chicken thighs, Atlantic salmon (both BBQ and filets), Argentinian shrimps (frozen section), and their ribeyes. Oooh, and shout out to their robust chicken sausage collection; it rivals any chicken sausage collection out there. - Grapes: I started to fall in love with grapes because every week they offer a new type in addition to the conventional reds and greens. Because of TJs, I've tasted Tomcord Seedless, Moondrop, and my favorite, Cotton Candy! - Dog park: Since it resides on the first floor of an apartment complex, they have a small "dog park". Who doesn't want to see adorable pups wrestle with each other while you check out? Most importantly, I think they do the best out of all the grocery store chains to protect their customers from COVID-19. The staff wipe all of the carts down, wear masks (and require customers to wear them too), and limit the number of people entering their stores (the lines move quickly, though). I've been visiting this TJ's for the past year and a half, and if it's not one problem, it's another. During the early days of the pandemic, when mask mandates were in effect, numerous employees were in the store without masks. On one occasion, I had to actively avoid a cashier who was coughing so badly I was afraid she was going to pass out at the register. Not a reassuring sight back in spring of 2020 when vaccines were a distant dream. Even now, I keep running into issues at this location. After a shopping trip last week, we got home to find that our bacon had already expired a week ago, and the kim chi we purchased was covered in overgrown bacteria or fungi. To be honest, I am not surprised. When I was in the store a few weeks back, I found a pint of yogurt on the shelf with an expiration date only two days later. I alerted a crew member, but they told me they were supposed to leave it out! So maybe it's just store policy to sell items that are about to go (or already have gone) bad and hope customers don't notice or check? Thankfully, the great return policy at TJs saved us a few bucks we would have otherwise wasted. But I'm going to spend the few extra minutes driving to another TJ's location and take a pass on Cole Ave for now. read more

One of my top three fav stores of all time lol. I always leave here with more than I had expected and I'm ok with that. This store is always clean and stocked. Kinda annoying parking in the structure so try to go when it's not that busy. Love their frozen food section the most; orange chicken, mini tacos, beef short ribs, and calamari are some of my faves. Their variety of cheeses makes it easy to put together that Instagram-worthy cheese board. Try the everything-but-the-bagel seasoning on top of your avocado (egg optional) toast and thank me later. read more

How can you NOT love Trader Joe's?!?! Great quality, healthy food at reasonable prices! Some stuff is more that I'd like to pay... like the slices packaged cheese and meat... but ... it is definitely quality product. So you can't argue with that. Produce could have a better variety, but they do have the basics. The under $10 wine selected is VAST! Even the $3.99 selection is pretty large! I love trying different kinds of wine, but I don't like to spend a lot especially since I don't know if I will like it! I love Trader Joe's because I know that I can stop here and even though they're not a huge store, I can essentially do all my shopping at one store and everything I get will be quality, healthy items! read more

This particular location seems a little smaller than others in the area and the parking can be an issue when the garage is busy, but this is still the best location for folks in Oak Cliff and downtown. I was have been to a few Trader Joes, but this one I could definitely say I am a fan of! I past by this Trader Joes a few times, as they were building it. It quite spacious and looks similar to the other store models! This store had many products, especially products that are organic, gluten free ,vegan and etc... I normally don't review random, everyday things such as grocery stores....... but this grocery store is far above the standard. The workers are SO kind and helpful. Will go out of their way to help you. They are always very well stocked with the most unique assortment. I started out going here just for the ridiculously affordable but robust wine selection, and have slowly ended up buying nearly all of my grocery and produce here. They even have a great selection of affordable vitamins and supplements. I couldn't recommend this place more. Be sure to ask a worker sometime about all the cool things that make Trader Joe's stand apart (like the fact that they'll open anything and let you try it, or the high standards they hold for their private label products.)
