This Trader Joe's is definitely my favorite in the DFW area. They always have every thing i want, stay fully stocked no matter the time of day and always has the freshest fruits and vegetables. I love going to this particular one because of the parking, it's not as congested as others and there's also parking across the street and nearby street parking as well. It's walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants and clothing stores which is always a plus. They are ALWAYS stocked with fresh flowers and plants. I've gotten 2 of my favorite plants from here that are still growing and thriving. They carry eucalyptus which I love because I keep it in my shower. Everyone here is so nice, they don't hesitate to help when needed at all. The restrooms are always clean as well! Oh and of course they have a variety of wines and beers starting at $1.50 which you can't beat.

Picked up some goodies recently. This TJ was fully stocked in some seasonal snacks and other things. The mini everything bagel snacks and smores snacks were unexpectedly delightful. Def worth the try if you see them!

They have these clever little signs in front of each cashier line.

Love the vibe at Trader Joe's! After watching a couple Trader Joe's Huals on YT an seeing many different Trader Joe's recommendations, I made my list an headed there Sunday evening. I arrived at 5:40 pm an the parking lot was pretty full. I also noticed a small line outside. Thankfully I found a parking spot right away an the line moved very quickly with one person out, one in approach. A gentleman working outside was apologetic for the wait an also there santatizing carts. I liked that! Right when I walked in i was hit with Christmas! The many sizes of fresh poinsettias, pinecones, and Christmas wreaths! Then as I stepped in further saw the most beautiful assortment of flowers. After I got over that, I realized how busy it was in the store. Busy but definitely not overwhelming. With the exception of 2 things, I found everything I wanted. The store clerk was very friendly also! Trader Joe's is the most festive grocery store I've been in for Christmas. I loved hearing the Christmas music. They even had a Christmas tree decorated in the front! I was in an out in 35 minutes an can't wait to eat my Trader Joe finds! I'll definitely be back for the fresh flowers (an if I need fresh Christmas decor!)

Everyone rides around sipping on Trader Joe's Kefir, right??

This is only the second time I've been in a Trader Joe's. The size of this store is small but I was able to find what I needed: kefir, hummus and a red pepper. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Price was actually pretty good! Less than I anticipated!

I have never felt so PUBLICLY humiliated in my life!! While shopping, the cashier accused me of using counterfeit money!! He never used the bill marker, but only because he says it was "thin at the top". Holding the bill to the light, all of the watermarks were visible to show that the bill was authentic. The cashier nor supervisor on duty never apologized for their "assumptions"!! Was this because I was "shopping while black"?? Had I been of a different race with blonde hair/blue eyes would i have been called out? I'm diabetic and this negative encounter ran my blood sugar up higher than its been in a while! Trader Joe's- Dallas needs to do better in training their employees! That store has lost my business! #traderjoesdallas

What's to dislike here ---- nuttin'! Trader Joe's is great grocery store mainly due to their low (as compared to most other grocery stores) prices on pantry staples and their super friendly staff. To date, I have never met a rude or snarky TJ employee. They are always friendly, and happy to assist. When I'm wandering around looking lost, which is simply a general state for me, a smiling TJ staff member always approaches and asks if I need assistance :-) Their "Fearless Flyer" is my go-to for even deeper discounts. Across the country, these stores are set up in basically the same manner (definitely a plus in my book). You may notice that the items that local stores sell are slightly different in each city --- that also makes good business sense. I recently moved, and I was so happy to see that I still have a "neighborhood" TJ's!

    Yum!

I love me some Trader Joe's! This is a great location that is fairly new. It is well maintained and has great employees that make the shopping experience even better. The food is not as expensive as one would think and the quality is top notch. It makes me excited to shop. I will be back, often! :)

They provided useful tips for staying in town, what to see/where to go, and a few people even chimed in on where to avoid. I'm usually better at getting names so shame on me for that, but particularly helpful were the deli lady and the Starbucks girls, all of whom were working the morning of 12/26 at 10 am (hopefully that helps their bosses recognize them) The prices seemed good but admittedly I was in vacation mode (where money doesn't matter until you come home) and the service was top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay out of the men's room!! There were some shady dealings going down in the men's room

All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.

The staff here is a little annoying at times, since they're doing a "donate to a local student scholarship drive", and the cashiers guilt-trip you (and they're fairly persistent) into donating. And when you do contribute, they broadcast it throughout the store. I get it's for a good cause, and I hate to be "that guy", but it is a little irritating after a while. On the plus side, the self-checkout attendants are usually fairly helpful and attentive, so that's good. The last time I wanted to check out, all of the registers were closed, so the self-checkout line was over a dozen people/carts long (thankfully two rows of self-checkout made the line dwindle fairly quickly). Another two lanes of self-checkout were opened at the other end of the store, but there were at least 3-4 attendants at the self-checkout lanes, so I'm curious as to why nobody was manning the actual registers. Finally, as I was leaving, two of the staff were having a casual non-work conversation, blocking the exit, so I asked them politely to move for my cart. They did so, but muttered under their breath for me to use the other exit. It was rather rude, since not only is that not appropriate customer service, but my car was parked at the other end of the parking lot, and the exit was right in front of me, which they were blocking. Overall, Krogers itself is great. You can probably find whatever you're looking for there, even if it might not be food, and for reasonable prices. But the staff and service don't always make your shopping experience a positive one.

I need to talk about Central Market on Lovers Lane and I need to talk about BP and I need to talk…read moreabout the produce section and I only have so many words so let's move. The produce section first because if I do not address it immediately I will think about it the whole time. Walking into the Central Market produce section is the closest a grocery store has ever come to making me feel like a child at Disney World. Not Disney World adjacent. Not Disney World inspired. Full Disney World. There are colors happening in that produce section that I did not know vegetables were capable of. Heirloom tomatoes in seventeen shades. Peppers that look like they were designed by an artist who was told to make a pepper but make it fashion. Mushrooms with names I cannot pronounce displayed like they are artifacts from a civilization that understood fungi better than we do. I have walked in there for one specific item and come out forty minutes later with things I have never cooked before and a quiet optimism about my future in the kitchen that has not always proven accurate but always feels real in the moment. I went once just for garlic. One head of garlic. I left with dragon fruit, three kinds of fresh pasta, a bunch of herbs that required me to look up two of them when I got home, and a wheel of cheese that I told myself was practical. It was not practical. I regret nothing. Now BP. BP runs the prepared foods counter at Central Market Lovers Lane and is the reason I sometimes drive there when I am not even hungry. BP was a high school math teacher in California for years. Years. Shaping young minds, writing equations on whiteboards, presumably grading papers on weekends with the quiet resignation of someone who has chosen a noble and exhausting profession. And then at some point BP looked at California, looked at Dallas, made a decision, and moved. He did most of the moving himself. I want you to think about that. This man, who spent years teaching mathematics, looked at a truck full of his belongings and said I will handle this personally. The kind of move that requires a certain stubbornness and also a pretty solid understanding of spatial reasoning which, given the math background, he had covered. BP is now behind the prepared foods counter at Central Market and is genuinely one of the warmest humans I have encountered on either side of a deli case. He talks to you like he has time, which in a prepared foods counter context is unusual and should be protected at all costs. He knows what is good that day. He will tell you. You should listen. Excellent store. Exceptional produce section. BP is the best part of the prepared foods counter and possibly of Lovers Lane entirely.
