We stopped by and walking to the entrance we were taken back by all of the beautiful plants out front, many even on sale! Then, walking in, we smelled the smell of fresh smoked barbecue, so we stopped in and tried some of that. I tried the Brisket Baked Potato...It was delicious! After a quick bite, we finally did what we came there for, and that was to do some grocery shopping. They had everything we came here for and I even found several things I did not come here for, but left with anyway, lol! The place had a bunch of unknown brands for a bit cheaper than your regular well known brands. Atmosphere was good. Cleanliness was also good. The staff was also good. The reason for my 1 star is because of the quality of the products and the process that may have been used to preserve them. My son wanted some sourdough to make him a sandwich so I get a loaf of sourdough and other things. This was back in early October of 2018. So we take our groceries home eat some and he asks for me to mk him a sourdough sandwich, I try the first slice because he doesnt like the ends, and it tasted very acidic and rancid. The bag has a date of 10/24 so it must be like 2-3 weeks before it expires. So thats not the problem. I tell my son I will just mk him a sandwich from left over regular bread from kroger we bought the prior week from another store n he doesnt mind. My problem is why did this sourdough taste so acidic and rancid?!? Thats not how sourdough is supposed to taste like! This sparked my curiosity and I kept the sourdough to see how long before the bread went bad and moldy because I think this acidic taste is some sort of additive they are adding in Aldi's breads to make them have more shelf life but in this case it was over sprayed with this stuff and it hasnt molded yet! It is Jan 21st 2019 and I bought this bread in early October 2018. It has been 3 months and counting and this bread has not molded or gone bad! I will never be going back to aldi as this experience has left me very curious as to what the heck Aldi is spraying on their breads or if they even have a quality control process to check if the people they are getting their products are followings fda rules. The supermarket was well organized and spacious, beyond my expectation. When I checked out, the cashier Taniya said they didn't take credit cards. That scenario surprised me. I hadn't seen a supermarket not taking credit card for two decades. So I drove back to my living motel 6 for cash, just a few minutes. A few minutes before 12AM, my wife said she needed a pair of scissors for cutting hair, the male staff was so helpful for leading me to the curresponding aisle. Anyway, I picked a pair of kid scissors, better than nothing. It costed $2, they didn't have change. What a great place in Duncanville, Texas.

When my groceries were delivered about 1/2 or 17 items missing. Either the store did not give to the driver or the driver intentionally or mistakenly did not leave all the bags behind. We submitted our refund request within minutes of the order being delivered on August 10 at approximately 6 PM. It was denied on August 13. It took me hours to reach Tom Thumb and finally be told that it was automatically rejected due to the amount of the refund. Just to be clear that is not what the rejection stated had I not called and pushed. They would've kept my money. Nonetheless, I was told the refund would be processed. Today is August 18. I have zero money left no food and the refund has not been issued. This is significant as like most people I live paycheck to paycheck, but unlike most people, I am totally disabled veteran. I have accessibility issues and an 86-year-old mom that also lives with me. I just say FU Tom Thumb, you screwed me and my mom really bad this week.

This location being smaller than some of the others I used to frequent. Even the sprouts brand products are quality. I don't care for the push to self checkout as that was always something I appreciated, having enough people manning a register. In this area, if you just need something quick, you can get it done as the Kroger across the way is always packed.

I looked and looked, but could not find it. Two employees walked by separately and did not acknowledge nor ask if I needed help. I walked to the registers. There were two young employees chatting so I had to wait until they were finished with their important conversation. I asked one of them about the item and showed the app stating it was in stock. The girl was clueless and said she would have to ask the manager. Several people were in the office. An older employee spoke with the employee. She came back out and said that if I "COULD NOT FIND IT, IT IS NOT IN STOCK." Are you kidding me?! So, out of 4 employees and the manager, not ONE person could look for me??
