Not the most stocked location, nor the cleanest. But they do have what you need! The parking is always packed to the back so this time I chose the pickup option which went smoothly. Nargie, a short, Latino/Mexican store manager, refused to help me when I couldn't get my gift card to work. I had asked for her assistance because the cashier was struggling to apply the gift card to my transaction. When I called her over, I proceeded to tell her what was happening. She looked at the cashier and said, "You know how to do that right?" The cashier responded, "Yeah I told her I got it", but she didn't have it. Nargie then proceeded to say, "Well, I'm not dealing with this" & walk away. She completely brushed me off! I understand that the associate was trying to handle the matter herself, but the reality is that she was not capable. 1-2 minutes after the manager walked away, she actually asked another neighboring cashier for help & neither one of them could figure it out. They both looked at me in confusion & the neighboring cashier said, "Ma'am there's nothing we can do. We can't force the card to work". I left this store & went back to the original store where I got the gift card. That customer service agent confirmed that there was $19.96 on the active card & asked if I had possibly had the gift card next to a cell phone. I confirmed that I have been keeping the card in my fanny pack, which is often next to my cell phone. She stated that the card had likely become the magnetized. She said that the card numbers would have to be manually typed in in order to be used. That was it. I returned to the Irving Store (#880 - 4100 W. Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062) simply because they were the only store that had the item that I needed in stock. I went, re-shopped my items, told the new cashier, Selena, that the card would have to be manually typed in, she did that & the card worked. I'm writing in because I was appalled at how dismissive the store manager was. All because she didn't care to help, I wasted my gas in order to find out that the card could be used, and that their staff, obviously had not been trained enough to know how to make it work. read more

After having lunch with a friend, I wanted to shop at this particular location before heading back to Fort Worth. As with other locations, this one had everything I needed. It was also extremely clean and well maintained. The staff members were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Very dirty outside and inside. All the shopping carts are out in the parking lot. There were none inside, so you have to go back to the parking lot to grab one and bring in. Plenty of associates walking around doing nothing.... The store manager should take pride in their store and make sure the parking lot is clean and welcoming. read more

Not a one time experience, an everyone experience. No self checkouts, curbside is super slow. Show up and expect 20+ cars and like 2 workers outside. If you see anymore they are slow and have 2-3 people helping one car. Then they walk inside across the store and take years to come out. 1hr curbside is insane. This Walmart overall sucks and I never been to one that horrible. There's great quality ones, then there is this one. I wouldn't recommend this store to a dead person!! Order # 2000127-20999267 My mother who has Parkinson's has been waiting for almost 2 days for a delivery order. The customer service promises results and don't get it done. They told us today, which the order was due on 12/11/24 from 4-6pm cst and he it is 3:38 cst on 11/12/24 the next day and she still don't have her order. They have didn't nothing but give the run around and never solve the issue. Called the store directly and can't talk to the people a the store if you call because they have an offsite customer service that answers their direct phone and tell you, you can't talk to the store they help you. How can you help me at a store you'd not at? This reminded me why I don't shop at Walmart never again. If she cancles the order she has to wait 10 bus days to get a refund before she can order food again. This is crazy I tell you and all we heard is what can't be done and not how to get her the food she ordered. This Walmart is pretty much like the rest. The layout is grocery and food items in the left hand entrance of the store and the right entrance feeds you into home goods. Prices and offerings are pretty standard with some regional and local items thrown in. For example some locally made tortillas (which I bought but completely forgot to check the label for lard (I'm plant based) and got back to the hotel to find that fact :( bummer) and some interesting salsas etc. They do have some plant based frozen items however most of it is morningstar which unfortunately now uses some animal product variants in their vegetarian products. (like eggs, or cheese) The produce is reasonably priced and fresh. The checkout can be pretty terrible depending on when you are there. The self scan lines are pretty long, as are the manned lines. That can be a little annoying when you just have a few things and want to get out but are trapped behind huge grocery cart loads. All in all it's a Walmart, seems a bit busier and slower than others I've been to but it's clean. read more

We were in the area and needed some milk for the little one, so here we were. This location was convenient for us as we were headed to our hotel. The parking lot is large but was quite filled. The store was busy the day we visited but the aisles are spacious. Found the milk easily and picked up some strawberry wafers as well. Folks love to talk smack about this Walmart. My favorite line so far has been, "you go to that Walmart? With your kids? You haven't been shot yet?" Keep talkin', y'all, so no one finds out how awesome this location actually is, and it gets even more crowded than usual. It's crowded. It's full of Walmart people. You have a 50% chance of being spanged in the parking lot. It's a Walmart. However, the people that work here are great. They have a fantastic customer service staff and the line moves along fairly quickly. The staff in general at this store is friendly and helpful. I always find great clearance children's clothes, and garden section always has a good selection of plants. read more

Grocery Pickup Over 2.5 hours between wait in car (having made contact with them multiple times), waiting at their staging location where multiple claims all they were waiting for was chiller items (3), me asking if i could help get something, going to pick my entire 8 item order myself, coming back to staging area for them to take the order out immediately and put my pick order in my cart. I am a Walmart shopper, I have shopped in them all over the west USA. Now this store is bad has been bad about customer service for as long as I have shopped and lived around this location. I stopped shopping that his location a couple years ago just because of the lines and empty area of the store. In Sept of this year I made a choice to shop inside the store that day. Empty sleeves and long lines, still. They had 2 cashiers open and no PIC around the cashiers at all, none for over 30 mins. I have used this store for pick as well, bad choice today. I place the order last night to be picked up at 2pm today. I pulled in parked couple mins before 2 pm. Then at 201 pm I get a text telling me my order would not ready. You couldn't send this text 15 mins before I am to pick it up, no you have to do after I am sitting in parking lot. I had to get a refund as I am shopping in Kroger for the things I need for tonight, that were on that list. Looks like I be doing my shopping at the Walmart on Bedford Road. read more

This Wal-mart is busy, no doubt. It used to be 24 hours, but now they close at midnight (I think). Smart move because I don't know how the heck they were efficiently restocking and regrouping with all the traffic they get. It's not the best Wal-mart in appearance and the parking lot low key whomps, buuuut it's honestly one of the most diverse Wal-mart's I ever been to which was an additional star for me. Because the surrounding community is so diverse, it's reflected in the products they carry and I dig it. I talked to pickup managers. The primary manager was MELTON!! Both managers were super rude and were clueless on the pickup order process. Evening shift. The pickup assistant lmanager said there was nothing he could do when we showed up early for our item because of an emergency. Our car battery died in parking lot. It was 5 pm and we couldn't pick up until 9. They had plenty of the batteries we needed and had already our paid online for it we picked it out ourselves and took it to the pickup section and that's when the pickup manager sat there clueless and said he couldn't give it to us. The store manager was then called over. He gave us the same BS story but in a more rude manner. Extremely short and rude. Didn't even try anything to help. He said first come first serve that's why and that he couldn't change it and "tough luck" that we should of figured that out before buying. We shouldn't be able to purchase if this was the case. We were literally sitting there with our battery we just purchased. and he told us we had to wait for 4 hours to get it regardless as he started to walk away unsolved. Never attempted to try anything! There was no disclosure that said we couldn't get it earlier before purchasing... store manager is Melton. We then said to him "we'll be leaving a bad review for him" and he said "idc we get bad reviews all the time" and walked away. We talked to corporate and they said they could override with a request. If he cared he could of talked to corporate and received the request. Instead he left us stranded with our baby and dog in the car in hot texas heat. This was horrible service and he should be fired on spot. They just lost a long term customer who spends hundred monthly at Walmart. We then call the store bc corporate told us to get a hold of Melton the manager and get the request. We were put on hold for an hour because all of a sudden, 15 min after we left, there was no longer a manger available for the next hour coincidentally. The order we did weeks ago before this, was completely not delivered from same department and couldn't get an answer to why our groceries weren't delivered which we needed to feed our kids for dinner. We didn't get an answer for days!! The Dept was useless and obviously they don't care about the customers nor the reviews left. I waited for over 40 minutes for someone to unlock the razor blade cabinet. I asked multiple associates across the store for help. The only answer I received was "that's not my area". Finally I walked to customer service, she at least took the time to page someone. Took another 15 minutes for him to show up. I placed an order online to pickup there were six items on the order and it was supposed to be ready by 2:48 PM this afternoon 3/15/2022 and when that time came and gone it still was showing order was being prepared so I decided to call the store multiple times no one bothered to answer the phone! I called Walmart online customer service they tried to call the store multiple times and no one would answer! We just came to the Irving, TX Walmart for some dog food. Now we travel this country and have had no problems except once at the Walmart's around the country over these masks. This one was unbelievable, he basically told us if we didn't want to wear a mask we could leave. Well we won't be coming back here! We always shop here when we are in this area but I would rather travel miles away to be treated better. Walmart policy is that they want you to wear them but will not force you to, I guess that doesn't apply at this store! I'm just not a fan of this Walmart. It's rarely organized, the staff isn't always friendly (more like they wish you'd leave) and they're usually out of most of the stuff everyone buys. A lot of this is because it's the only Walmart in the area (unless you want to drive over to 635/MacArthur, which I usually do), so it's always packed...I mean always. Parking.lot.full.packed. So it's no wonder the employees look beat down. I only go when I have to, which unfortunately seems to be often. Called over the phone to check if an item was in stock like the website said. I live an hour away so I wanted to make sure the drive was worth it. I was trying to connect to electronics through out the day, & they never picked up I called over 10 times every time they didn't pick up it transferred to me customer service where and it sounded to be an old female employee was extremely rude because I kept calling trying to contact electronics. The store is only deserving of 1 star.... but I'm giving 2 stars because of the service I received from the lady who worked at the deli. She EXCEEDED my expectations by providing awesome customer service, this is not normal. Planning a trip to Walmart has everything to do with timing. There's a window of opportunity to beat the crowds and when the employees are in the best of moods. If you miss that window your trip will be less than a 1 star rating. There's nothing pleasant about going to Walmart since it became a 'super store'. When they became a 'super' store, was the beginning of the end for me. It's design to have you walk around from department to department in hopes that you'll pick up an item you didn't initially intend to purchase. It such an inconvenience. Plus, I don't feel safe in their parking lots especially after dark. I have been approached several times by people selling something to asking for money. I only like Walmart when I'm out of town and need items that I might have forgotten or to pick up items for the family while on vacation because I know Walmart will have them. Every time I go to this damn Walmart and scan my groceries through the self-checkout lane the associates who monitors machines stands directly behind to see if I'm going to scan all the items. Seriously??? I complained to the supervisor I'm pretty sure they won't do anything about it. But it's disrespectful and unpleasant and they try to play dumb like they don't know what's going on. It's ALWAYS over crowded even with COVID!!!!! 3/4 times I've been here they had zero available carts or even hand baskets meanwhile, there's a dozen just chillin all over the parking lot. No one is tracking the number of people coming in. It's always messy. The staff are always obnoxious and rude. I've seen on multiple occasions They literally scream at each other from opposite ends of the aisle WITH customers in them and ignore those asking for assistance. I'm appalled. read more

The last time I was here, I think I saw a crow, or grackle (I don't know), eating a chicken wing in the parking lot. Is that some version of cannibalism? 3 - Clean/Organize items - Could be better, seen a lot merchandise and trash on isle floors. Vitamin section definitely needs to be restocked as best as possible. Cosmetics also need more attention to stock. 1 - Accessibility - Over crowded! So much people here, hard to go through isles, finding parking. Expect to park at the very end. Waiting long lines to pay for an item. People bumping into you, rude, all in a hurry. For this reason I would rather just go to Target, where I have been going and find myself more relaxed and an ease of shopping. 4 - Customer service - People that have serviced me here have all been nice and courteous. 4 - Pricing - Prob better pricing than most of other places. The cashiers are rude and accuse customers of stealing. The environment is very hostile and majority of the employees are unwilling to help the customers. The Covid-19 precautions put in place are not enforced in the slightest and the restrooms as well as isles are often crowded and disgusting. Would not recommend going here.
