Came here for the first time today after reading all the positive reviews. I gotta say, you can believe those 5 stars 100%. Amy did an amazing job on my nails, which I had done for my upcoming wedding, and they are absolutely beautiful. Glitter polishes are often hard to work with and these nails are completely flawless. I'm so pleased and I will definitely be back in the future. read more

Tokyo Nails was nice to take me in as a walk-in and squeeze my mani/pedi but they rushed it so much that my cuticles are literally bleeding. I don't think I am going back. The pricing is fair but I paid $50 for something that didn't serve the purpose of relaxing and enjoying. read more

Where do I begin ?! I love love love this place!! Everything about this nail salon from the staff to the environment is amazing! The people are so friendly and inviting from the first moment you walk in the door. I have been coming here for about a year now and I couldn't and wouldn't go anywhere else! Cam my guy is the best of the best ! He is personable, professional and phenomenal. He knows what I want without me having to say it. Everytime I walk out of there I have a huge smile on my face. The price is reasonable and the work is flawless! read more

I started going to this place a few months before COVID-19 and each time the prices were super good and the nails turned out beautiful!!! I love this place so much. read more

The level of service has changed. My last visit back in February, I waited almost half hour after my appointment time to be serviced. In addition the tech was going so quickly because she had another appointment I assume, that my eyebrows got over waxed and three of my cuticles were bleeding even after the polish due to the rough pushing and over cutting as well. Despite this, I came in this morning for a mani pedi. After waiting 25 minutes I decided to leave. I'd rather try another salon. Disappointing since it really used to be great. read more

Beware of this place ladies! My daughter was not happy with the shape of her nails! The owner said he would redo them. She went back and took her sister and they both were not happy with the shape once again! Oh, when my daughter told t he tech that the owner was giving her credit the tech stated the owner went to the bank and she cant issue the credit. So my daughter paid $100! My other daughter requested coffin shape they gave her round shape. I just contacted the owner and he did not want to work with us and didnt care if we put up bad reveiws. beware people! Wouldn't surprise me if they shut down! They are not about "good customer service" nor do they care! read more

My gel manicure was horrible, chipped within a day. My pedicure chipped within three days. I won't go back. They did offer to do my gel mani while I was getting a pedi since I was short on time but it came out awful, he had to redo the gel manicure multiple times and it still chipped. Disappointed! read more

I made an appointment two days in advance for a Brazilian. I made absolutely sure to tell the guy on the phone I wanted a Brazilian. I got there, day of my appointment, and was told the woman who normally does Brazilians didn't come in for another two hours but they would go ahead and wax me anyway. $45 later I walked out with essentially a bikini wax. Plus, there was hair (like plucked hairs) on the paper towel that laid across the head of the bed, that was covered with two beach towels. The woman, god bless her because she was so nice, used the same pot of wax for me as they've probably used for everyone else -- ie; she kept dipping the same stick in the same pot of wax. I'm not sure but that may be unsanitary. I do like this place but this experience was much much less than desirable due to poor communication about the availability of someone who does Brazilians and unclean conditions. read more

Best place I've ever been to for my nails! Love the staff ALL speak and understand english very well! Cam it's the owner but they all do very good work... Def highly recommend! read more

My best friend and I have been looking for a great (not just good!) nail salon in Manassas and I think we've found it! The place is very lovely, organized and clean. They make a point of stating that their equipment is 100% sanitized in their brochure and you can see that it is true. The nail techs are extremely nice. Kim was friendly and attentive. My full set of acrylic and pedi came out great! Prices are very reasonable. We were walk ins and were attended fairly quickly. Will definitely be coming back :) read more

I won't let anyone else do my nails. The staff is great and always do it right. I never leave unhappy with the service I get here

Probably the most unprofessional nail salon I've ever been to. My nail tech was working on my nails when the owner came to ask if I could switch spots with other customers who just came in and wait my turn. Paying customers should be treated equally. Deal with your scheduling conflicts on your end. Zero star for customer service. 1 star for the nail tech who kept working despite the incident. read more

Made an appointment for reflexology and a pedicure over a week ago and the we show up for our appointment and they inform us that the lady who does reflexology went to ny yesterday. No phone to let us know. I am livid. Worst service I have ever seen before. Don't waste your money at this place and if you do expect piss poor service. read more

My friend and I went here because of the reviews on yelp. This place is a good 20 minutes from me and I wondered if it would be worth the drive since there are several nail salons much much closer to my home. Let me tell you, it's DEFINITELY worth the trip. I had the manicure with the gel polish. My nails look awesome. I have tried many many other salons and this salon is the best by far. If you go though, plan to spend a while there. They are very busy, but also very thorough. So it can take a while. We had an appointment but when we arrived all of the techs were with someone so we ended up waiting 30 minutes before we were taken. Honestly, I didn't mind waiting. There's nothing I hate more than having a nail tech rush to finish my nails because someone is waiting. They don't sacrifice quality there and I very much appreciate that!!! Definitely worth the drive and the wait. read more

The location is kind of slum. The salon is not bad. I called after I saw decent reviews and asked for an appt with someone who could use the razor on my callouses and scheduled a mani/pedi. Got there & right away was addressed and told to pick a color and then asked by someone walking by if I wanted to see someone in particular. I stated the above. I like that the pedi area is in the back. The chairs are kind of typical- just ok with one setting. She was very timid to use the razor and about scrubbed me to death afterwards with the purple pumice stone. Also, I always wear my own thong sandals to any salon. She ran the tissue through my toes- I kind of think that is cheesy- and before she started with color I asked her if she wanted me to put on my sandals- she said no. Well, she should have listened to me bc at least three of the toenails were messed up when she put my shoes on. On to the mani. This is the second shop I have been to in the past month that uses no water soak. I think that's weird. They do the lotion with the heated mitts but they're on for such a short time and awkward. SHe was good at squaring the nails, but when I left I noticed she didn't even really touch my cuticles. Also, the chairs were much too large and deep for the stations; I had to sit forward the entire time. The only positive was the price. My person was Mai. I wouldn't go back again based on the experience. It's also a little out of my way so not worth the drive. I go the salon to get relaxed, but this experience was anything but. read more

If there is anything that irritates my soul more than anything is waiting at a nail salon even though I had made an appointment 4 hours beforehand. I was flexible and they told me the earliest they can do is 2:00. I get there 1:55pm... it was 2:35 when I left. I waited 40 minutes & they couldn't even give me a time frame as to how much longer I would be waiting. I put my plans aside to get my nails done since it was for mid day. I am disappointed & had really high hopes for this place. Because of this there won't be a next time. read more

Terry for a spa pedicure .... Only two words A Mazing!!! The place is clean the staff is friendly and there are more colors to choose that I have ever seen in another salon. I'm glad I listen to my girlfriend and came here I will certainly be back. Make sure you call if you want Terry seems to be popular!! And trust me when I say there is a reason for it!!! Also heard that they do haircuts I will be bringing my two little boys here to see how well they do. read more

I recently got short coffin nails... But there's so much wrong with them. Uneven, some were shorter than other, nail polish all on my fingers, and i'm SO disappointed. I will be going to a different event nail salon to get them re-done. read more

Rita does a great job with eyebrow waxing. I won't go anywhere else. I have usually had good experiences, but earlier this year I decided to shell out the $30.00 for the gel manicure. There was a limited selection of colors that you chose from a models hand. I chose a subtle pink color and ended up with red sparkly nails. Then the guy tried to convince me that I was wrong. I give this place 4 stars for Rita's waxing and the great pedicures. read more

Went for a mani-pedi with a friend. They were nice and got 2 chairs together. They were very busy so even though we were together my friend got their pedi done before mine was even started. Their manicure was done before I finished my pedi so they had to wait. The people who work there are very nice. I don't think my nails are filed as nicely as I have had done elsewhere, though. I will go back however. The chemical smell is very strong in the shop. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. Tokoyo Nails has passed the test. I had my first appointment with Cam at Tokoyo Nails on 7/20/2012. I went in for a fill and a pedicure. After my gel set was complete I was impressed with the way it looked. My nails looked classy and professional. Next I had my pedicure. I get a french with a design on my big toe. The lines for the french were clean and straight. The design on my big toe was very pretty. I left a happy customer. I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks, so I wanted to wait before writing a review. Heads up ladies, if you go to a nail salon and your nails do not last for 2-3 weeks without chipping, cracking, breaking, etc. your salon is not good and you need to keep looking. So after normal wear and tear and a move from MD to VA my mani and pedi lasted without any damage. This sealed the deal for me. I immediately made my next appointment with Cam on 8/8/2012. Again my gel set was perfection and my pedi is clean and cute. This is my new regular nail salon. read more

I flip flop between this place and another Nail salon in Gainesville, VA. only because Tokyo nails is closed on Tues and that is when I usually get my nails done. Tokyo nails is by far the best in the area!! Cam is the owner and has a great personality. Rita does great pedi-cures and Joe and Cam have done my nails, both are great! Did just what I asked no issues. My husband has even come here and likes it better than any place else! Great staff, clean, everyone is nice and speaks great English and super super friendly:) read more

This is the only place my girlfriend will go to get her nails or waxing done. Cam is awesome, and the staff is extremely friendly. They've stayed after hours on more than one occasion for us. Their gift cards and services have become our 'go to' gift for birthdays and holidays. It's best to call and make an appointment instead of doing a walk in if possible, just because they're so busy. read more

Love this place! Friendly, attentive, clean and great English. You can tell they really care about their customers. They take their time and youdon't feel like they are rushing through. I will not be going to US Nails or Devine where the customer service is terrible. Totally worth it!!!!!! read more

Had my nails done here to fix what Divine Nails in Sowder Village botched and what a lovely change. Ended up with GORGEOUS fill and pedicure. Only downside - not enough employees for as many people as walk in (2 workers for Tuesday afternoon and 2ppl left and I'm not sure came back when told there was a wait). Place could use a makeover... but my nails are definitely amazing. Will be coming back here next time! read more

My nail tech must have been new or something. Had a full set of acrylics. I had a quarter inch of nail exposed near the cuticle and the sides. It looked like I needed a fill immediately after getting them done. Avoid this place unless you have owner himself do your nails. Never going back. read more

This was my first time coming here so I was a little apprehensive. So glad I gave them a try! WOW!! My nails are on point! The salon was clean, everyone was very friendly and the girl who did my nails was sooo personable! We had so much to talk about it's like we've known each other for years! Most definitely will refer people here and I will be back, matter-of-fact, I've already scheduled my next two appointments which I've never done in a 20+ years I've been getting my nails done. Thank you Tokyo nails for hooking me up! read more

Did my nails yesterday I asked for a lavender gel color when I first got the color it was rose pick and faded overnight to this hideous yellow and I ended up peeling it all off! Biggest waste of $30 The wait time was ridiculous waited almost and hour even though there was no one there when I came. The lady ripped my nail bed and put gel over the blood and put the tools she was using on me back in her kit just terrible and unsanitary. read more

Quick yet great work! Love this place! Staff is super friendly and the quality of their work is amazing. It's very clean and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I got my nails done on 4/5. I had surgery so I was not able to get back in. Here I am on 5/11 and to my surprise my nails have lasted and still look beautiful. Other than the natural new growth, my nails still look as good as they did when they were done by Cam. I wouldn't go anywhere else. His work along with his staff is amazing! read more

Went here today on a whim after reading reviews on Yelp. I just may be addicted to pedicures after this. I figured I'd spoil myself this spring break, so I went today as a walk in. Joe spent about 45 minutes on my pedicure. This pedicure was overall better than the one I had done at Red Door Spa. Only complaints - too many of the manicurists were on cell phones (talking and texting) while working with customers, I thought that was a bit rude. Joe didn't do that though. They also don't give any flip flops to walk out in. Good thing I brought my own. Otherwise I guess they expect you to sit there and wait until your toenails dry. Did a cost comparison to a pedicure I had at Red Door Spa in Fairfax - Tokyo Nail $22, Red Door Spa $80. Need I say more? read more

I called Tokyo Nail based on other reviews and because I was unhappy with my 'regular' place which had recently changed hands. I called ahead of time and asked if they could take me in 10 min. - which they said they could. I jumped in the car and drove south on Rt. 28. parsed the bypass and turned into a rather nondescript strip mall by the 7-11. Inside, the place is very nice - bright, modern and welcoming. When I sat down, the first thing my manicurist did was to start taking off my existing nails. When I asked why, he told me that they had been done badly the last time and that they need to be redone occasionally. I told him they had just been 'redone' 3 weeks before and he was disbelieving. I was concerned since the cost of a full gel set is $50 but he had already started so there was no going back at that point. He then asked if I wanted to cut the existing nails down and add acrylic tips to get a more constant nail shape. By this time I just decided to go with his recommendations and see how it all came out. Well, I am so glad I just let him do what he recommended because my nails have never looked so good! They are all evenly shaped and by getting the 2-tone gel (pink/white for french) there will be no chipping because the color is a part of the gel. I am very happy with the results and will definitely return. Only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars is that while I was there, the place got pretty busy and my manicurist stopped working on me for ~10-15 min.to go start on someone else - which I thought was very strange. read more
