Rough night at Tokyo Dragon last night. The food was good as always. No issues there. The place was still clean and in good repair. Tonight was a busier night when we got there. Their operation model is to have ONE waitress to serve the whole area and have the hostess help. Pia, the waitress, did her best to try and stay organized and hustle. She is very skilled at using the phrase "sorry for the delay". I think we heard that five times this visit. This model worked when business was slow to moderate. It worked with a veteran waitress like Vina. Not on a busy night with an inexperienced waitress like Pia. All this caused: reminding the waitress to get our appetizer, having to go get plates and chop sticks while our appetizer got cold, often wait on refills, long delay in entrees to arrive, long wait to get the check returned. Stopped in for lunch after church. First time being here. Atmosphere is clean but ambiance a bit sparse. Music volume was kinda loud. Our server, Cassie, was welcoming and attentive. Worked hard and efficiently, all with a smile. Lunch menu offers choice of entree with egg drop or hot and sour soup, steamed or fried rice, and egg roll or crab rangoon, all $9.95-$10.55. Portions were very generous! The hot and sour soup was the most unique we've ever had. Delicious! Loaded with tiny enoki mushrooms, a few thin strips of seaweed, tofu, etc. it has a slight earthy flavor, which grew on us as we ate it. Very complex! Hubs got sesame chicken. Passion Fin is such a great Asian option in Fort Wayne. They have a ton of killer dishes. My wife and I have been here a handful of times. Honestly, cannot tell you what the food is like. We were told after three hours of waiting for our food that they lost it in the shuffle. It was supposed to be two hours, then my wife showed up when that time came and she still had to wait an hour just to be told they did not have our order. This is the third time in a row. I've had increasingly bad service. Would never recommend especially to people with kids because they are gonna wait a long time whether it be takeout or dine in. There are better Chinese restaurants with less of weight. They should know that on Christmas that being one of the only places open they will be busy. They were not ready for that. read more

So glad my friend and I got to try out this lovely new restaurant in Fort Wayne. It's conveniently located in a little plaza with ample parking. The place is super roomy so it's great for large groups. The menu offers a little bit of everything--Chinese, Japanese, sushi, lunch specials, drinks, etc. We decided on getting sushi and got the Lover's Girl, Alaskan, and Spicy Girl rolls. They were beautifully put together and even had a bunny made from a Roma tomato. A + for the effort! They were all so delicious and we were full after. I especially liked the Spicy Girl (which is really not that spicy). Our servers were also super sweet and kept checking into make sure we didn't need anything else. Overall the food, service, timeliness, and quality is great. This will be a spot I go to when I'm back in town! read more

This was such an interesting find for my boyfriend and I! While looking for a new place to eat for a spontaneous dinner, we remembered that there was a new Asian restaurant in town that we had passed by. The menu looked huge to say the least - it had Chinese, Japanese, and even some Thai dishes, so there was a good variety to choose from. We decided to dine in and give it a shot, and we wound up pleasantly surprised! The interior was fairly spacious and inviting. We were seated quickly and had very sweet interactions with the staff, so that was already a plus! With the variety present, we HAD to go with a little taste of everything - we got one sushi roll, one salt and pepper shrimp, and one crab rangoon (because I will always order crab rangoon, of course). Everything was tasty and fresh! The shrimp wasn't overly seasoned, and the roll had a lot of good, balanced flavors. Not to mention the cute presentation of the dishes haha. Really disappointing. This is truly a 1.5 star rating. We love crab wontons so started with those. They had no crab/crab flavor whatsoever. The filling was super runny too. What really bugged me is that they came out in a basket with no liner in it. Definitely not food safety conscious. My BF had the Seafood Delight. It had a white wine sauce with no flavor and everything was overcooked, including the pathetic little lobster "tail." The fried rice was bitter and gummy. I had the hot chili oil fish. It was passable at best. Just no flavor in the broth, other than a little kick of heat. Another food safety side note: the Seafood Delight came with a little ceramic tree thing on the plate touching the food. Gross!! Service was subpar -- our dinners did not come out at the same time. I was excited to another Asian themed restaurant on the North side of town. My wife and oldest daughter headed over on your typical Friday night out. The layout was clean and bright, but I would say a step down from WU's, Nori or Asakusa. Like many restaraunts, they were wolfully understaffed, but the young man doing all their serving was doing the best he could. Now the food... We started off with some pan fried dumplings and they were delicious with the soy based dipping sauce. I love a good hot-n-sour soup. The cup I received was a little thin, but ok. (hard to beat WU's). My wife and daughter had the egg drop soup and wonton, both receiving thumbs up. My daughter had the honey chicken and my wife had the beef lo-mein. I snuck a bite of the lo-mein and has to be one of the better versions in the city...prepared exactly as it should be and an enormous portion. I had the Autumn Lemon Roll and The Summer Roll. Both were tasty, but The Summer Roll had my number and can't wait to try it again. If you're in the Colwater and Dupont area, I would encourage you to try Passion Fin as their menu is extensive, good food and priced right. read more

We had pot stickers, pan-fried, seaweed salad, eel and cucumber roll, and the Godzilla roll. I'm just going to say it. It was better than Asakusa. We tried to come on Christmas night. What a mistake. Not only were we not greeted for about 10' to be sat, we were the only ones waiting, but we waited about 15' at the table without being greeted once we were sat. It wasn't very busy. We finally got up and walked out. The manager said sorry as we left the building. Since we had a gift card we waited a week and went again. This time we were sat promptly. It did take about 10' for a server to greet us but once the manager saw us she apologized again for Christmas night and made sure we had a server and drinks right away. We started off with the veggie tempura. It took about 20' for it to arrive, again it wasn't that busy, it was fresh, hot and pretty good but the sauce was terrible. Shortly after they took our app order they took our dinner order. Both of us ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi. It came with rice and a clear miso soup or a ginger dressing salad. I got the salad my daughter got the soup. The ginger dressing was very grainy but my daughter said the soup was good. 45' later we still didn't have our meals. When the manager noticed she made sure it was coming out. She came back to the table to let us know it was still going to be awhile and would we like another soup or salad. We said yes and it was the same as the ones before. Finally about an hour and 10 minutes later the main meal came out. It was hot and the veggies and rice were good. The chicken was cut into large chunks and was decent. But the shrimp....AWFUL. They were so rubbery and tough we couldn't bite into them. And the sauce was flavorless. Even soy sauce couldn't help it. When the manager saw we weren't eating she asked what was wrong so we told her and she made more shrimp and it came out the same. When we were ready to pay she only accepted the amount on the gift card leaving us not paying the extra $5 balance that was left. We didn't take the leftovers which was the entire hibachi meal. The photo was exactly what we left on The table. For the $21 it cost I wouldn't order it again or recommend i eating there. Maybe they're known better for their sushi. I won't find be finding out. It's to bad because Ive heard and read so many wonderful things and even when I first went and got only their egg drop soup it was so good I gave it 5 stars just based on that. Well, now I know. Try it to support local. It could have been just a couple of off nights. read more

Passion Fin is a wonderful addition to northwest Fort Wayne as my husband and I have been really looking for good Japanese near us. We shared the honey chicken which was more than enough for the two of us, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, and a large hot and sour soup. The customer service was wonderful, and food was fresh. The honey chicken and hot and sour soup were fantastic. I wasn't a big fan of the crab Rangoon as they just didn't seem cooked enough and were soggy without any crisp. Wandered in because we live nearby not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise to discover an extremely clean, bright Asian restaurant that can satisfy anyone's food desires. I haven't seen such an extensive array of choices before and after 2 visits for dinner there so far, the food has been quick, hot and absolutely delightful. Orange chicken and garlic chicken have been favorites as well as the Sushi rolls that were outstanding. People there have been awesome and make you feel right at home. They just need some more love from people as their ad budget is likely small and they're a little bit of the main drag. I first visited Passion Fin in February. It is a super clean and bright place! The staff is friendly and tries to accomadate your wants/needs. I have now dined in for lunch as well as dinner and get take out at least every other week. The hostess is super friendly and kind! My go to is the honey chicken with fried rice but my family also enjoys many rolls from here too! Looking forward to trying more new rolls and dishes here with their warm staff! read more

Great potstickers and so reasonably priced for a LOT. Great crab Rangoon. Szechuan string beans are excellent too. Very friendly staff. Took my 2 teens Sat lunch time. They both ordered udon, which they they liked and said was better than a national fast food Chinese chain. I ordered the 3 sushi roll lunch. It was horrible. The spicy tuna roll was inedible. I could have gotten better sushi at the grocery store :-( The waitress never asked how our food was. I waited for her to come by to check on us bc I needed Tamari but she was gone for 15min. There was only one takeout order and one couple who was seated during this time. This is the best Asian cuisine I've tasted in Fort Wayne in over 16 years. Passion Fin has gone out of its way to distinguish itself with uniquely inventive flavor combinations and magnificent presentation for both its Sushi and traditional Chinese dishes. We've placed three large delivery orders over the past two weeks. Each meal arrived within 20-25 minutes with NO delivery fees. As we opened each box, the presentation was so nice, we felt like we're actually in the restaurant, so we broke out our nicest serving pieces to complete the experience. The Sweet Potato Roll was exquisite, filled with strips of roasted sweet potato that were still warm from the oven and caramelized to perfection, and drizzled with a delectably sweet and savory eel (unagi) sauce. The Salmon Sashimi was deliciously fresh, tender, and generously portioned. The pickled ginger had a perfect balance of sweetness and heat, and their wasabi packed a healthy kick without being overpowering. Their Orange Chicken was the best my family's ever tasted.
