When the infamous dreaded call came for the damages, they told me to come pick it up--that it was done. As it turned out, I just needed a new key. My old key was worn from years of use. After expecting a bill of hundreds of dollars, I brought my baby home for just the inspection fee of $75. Well worth it! The second time I brought my car in, it sounded like a lawn mower. I knew this wouldn't be a cheap fix. My car is aging and only worth about $2000 for retail sale, so this visit would determine whether I would keep my car or donate her. I knew an exhaust leak would probably be too much to get fixed, but I figured I would see what thy had to say. The issue turned out to be a broken manifold. I cringed when I heard that, but then they said it would be a little over $425. I gave them the green light and even got an oil change on top of it. My car runs great again. I will be bringing my cars here again. Great, fair and honest people, running this business. I highly recommend! 5 stars!

We left it overnight, went back to pick it up he was nowhere in sight. Although he knew that she was coming to pick her car up. No phone no text no email. Finally I texted him that I needed some work on my car and I was in the area and he picked up the phone. Now mind you he hadn't picked up the phone for my niece for the last at least hour. I handed her the phone his explanation was, that his phone had been broken he told me the screen was broken and he couldn't see who called was calling. When he finally arrived at the shop, I asked him what the problem was he said his phone had broken he showed me a phone that was off, but there was no broken screen. I asked him was he done as he had been supposedly working on the car since the day before. Usually replacing in power steering pump is a one to two hour job for a good mechanic he said he was bleeding the system I saw no hoses or anything anywhere the problem came when I requested the old part which we never got. Also we had to come back for the car which was supposedly bleeding. The next day while driving the vehicle it start to smoke and they were flames. We found out later the distributor was loose. Apparently someone had bumped the distributor and the carburetor, and that was leakage from the gas or other fluid flammable no less. I'll be very Leary of taking my vehicle to such a dismissive repair shop and I use the term loosely. The customer service is nonexistent. And after I asked about the part that he supposedly removed I was told GET THE F OUT REPEATEDLY. Needless to say there was a verbal altercation that almost got really bad. This man has no respect for his customers their autos do not leave your car in this man's care. Do not trust what he says is wrong with your car. According to the automobile bureau, a customer has the right to receive the removed part. We are taking our vehicle to the automotive repair bureau in rancho Cordova, to be inspected for proper repair. To be forewarned is to be armed.

5-STAR REVIEW -- TOS AUTO, CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA…read more I want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank the entire team at TOS Auto, 5916 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95621, for their amazing workmanship, dedication, professionalism, and leadership. A special thank-you goes to Gary, the Manager and Service Advisor, who went above and beyond throughout what became an extremely complicated insurance claim. Gary was not only knowledgeable and professional--he was patient, compassionate, and truly became an advocate for me throughout the entire process. A little background on my situation: I was driving on the freeway when a diesel trailer hitch came off a big rig directly in front of me. I had no way to avoid it and unfortunately ran over it, causing extensive damage underneath my Infiniti Q50. Almost everything underneath the vehicle was affected. The accident was just that--an accident. What followed, however, became a five-month battle with my insurance company. I have been a State Farm customer for more than 44 years, since I was 16 years old, so I was extremely disappointed with the way my claim was initially handled. The claims representative challenged virtually every estimate and attempted to reduce the amount being paid for the repairs. There were also disagreements over the quality of parts being authorized and additional damage that was discovered during the repair process. This is where Gary and the TOS Auto team made all the difference. Gary worked directly with State Farm, continually providing documentation, estimates, supplemental information, and the evidence necessary to support the repairs my vehicle actually needed. When additional problems were discovered during the repair, he continued advocating for the proper repairs and worked through the supplemental process. Most importantly, Gary kept me informed every step of the way. His communication was exceptional. He gave me the information and documentation I needed so that I could better understand and articulate my position with the insurance company. After more than five months, the claim was finally resolved, with State Farm ultimately approving the necessary supplemental repairs, minus my deductible. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, workmanship, patience, and dedication demonstrated by Gary and the entire TOS Auto team. Gary treated my situation with empathy and genuinely cared about getting my vehicle repaired properly--not simply getting it out the door. If you're looking for a shop that provides quality workmanship, fair and reasonable service, excellent communication, and a team that will stand behind you when dealing with a difficult insurance claim, I highly recommend checking out TOS Auto in Citrus Heights. Gary and the entire TOS Auto staff--THANK YOU! You have earned a customer for life! Galen James
