Long time coming review I moved recently back in 2018 to Sacramento and no longer had my go to guy(due to distance in Stockton Ca) Untill i found these gentlemen. My brother named Steve Marks recommended me here, and although they're 30 mins north of where i live their professionalism, work, and price can not be beat. They get you in and get it done while also recommending anything you might need to replace or keep and eye on in the terms of maintenance while your car is on the rack. Recommended by a friend when my cat was screwed up. My service engine light has been on for a couple years. I had almost given up looking for a cat as they were so high priced. Affordable quoted a reasonable price. The did the job in about an hour and a half. They pointed out a problem with my wiring while it was on the rack. Pre existing issue. It's hard to find automotive shops that are honest and trustworthy, but if you're having muffler, exhaust problems you have to try Ford Able Mufflers. Thought my catalytic converter was stolen but thieves failed to complete the job due to my neighbor spooking them off. I brought my bmw to do a resonator delete, the owner made a recommendation and I didn't listen. I though i knew what I wanted, when the car was done it sounded better but not as throaty as id hoped. I went in around 2:30 for a muffler repair on my Ford Mustang. I was told it would only take an hour.After waiting about an hour I was told that it would still be another 45 mins before they could look at my car. Another hour and half passed and they told me to come back tomarrow because they didn't have time to look at it. If I knew I would be here 3 hours u would have went somewhere else. read more

I would give this places no stars; if I could. Had the catalytic converter stolen from my truck almost 2 years ago; right after it was smogged. Today it didn't pass smog and they tell me the O2 sensor was placed in front of the cat NOT behind where it should be - and he tested the catalytic converter and it wasn't functioning. I took it back to this place and he said he doesn't warranty the catalytic converter - because I probably burned it up!! By California state law, the cat is warrantied for 5 year or 50000 miles. Of course their incorrect install had nothing to do with the cat going bad - Not to mention the truck only had 5000 miles on it from the install date (it's my fishing truck). I only run it a couple times a months to keep the battery up. Stay away - unless you like sloppy work and no warranty read more

The past two times that I have come here to have my cars serviced was by an older looking man. I came in to have my exaust modified for my Lexus and for my second visit, only to have my stock mufflers cut off and install some exhaust tips on my honda. Throughout both of the whole install the welder constantly made comments, critiques and rude opinions and comparison about other cars that he disliked. Also another customer came by ,old white male like the welder. Conversating and making comments about my car, litteraly right in front of me. I payed no attention to him and just wanted to get the job done . As I was paying, they have later found a rat in the corner of their office and it had began chewing on their wires. Causing the customer before me to believe that 3 of his cards we're declined thus causing him to go out and make a withdrawal at a local bank. This place is unsanitary and in need of help. I never felt disgusted and negatively conflicted with their new welder. Travis was their previous welder and I only recommend this place because of him. Now I don't anymore with him gone. Didn't treat me accordingly ad a customer. I did not rush, complain or made comments of his job. read more

I recently needed some exhaust work on my 93 toyota pickup... After getting several quotes i was starting to get a lil overwhelmed with the cost of the repairs until i drove by this shop. The quote was more than reasonable and the tech i talked to new exactly where the exhaust leak was before he took a look... after talking for a few minutes, i can tell that this guy was very experienced and got nothing but good vibes...i went there looking to fix a crack on the header pipe.... but since they beat the price compared to other shops i ended up replacing the full exhaust.... my truck sound great now and it also feels alot stronger... before, traffic used to leave me behind now the truck feels light as a feather.... thanks Mike the tech and also thanks to the owner. i will be referring friends and family here. read more
