I drive by this place everyday on my way home for work. 2 weeks ago my A/C stopped blowing cold air. It's like over 100+ degrees in the car. I tried a few places but 1. they operate during working hours, 2. only certain locations has it, 3. they only fix and top off, they don't refill. Finally after work I see that this place was still open and there seems to be only one car in. I made a U-Turn on Watt and drove in. I was quoted $55.00 for labor and Freon for my 2010 Toyota Corolla. The wait time is 30mins. I got out of there in 20mins right before they close. Service was good and fast. The customer service was very good. I will come back here for A/C refills in the future. read more

I've been coming to this place for the last 10 years and never reviewed it on yelp. I am fortunate that it is next-door to my employment. They're open Tuesday through Saturday. It gives me an opportunity to drop off my car while I'm at work and it's usually done by lunchtime. They don't do major jobs here Like engine repair or transmission repairs that they handle most like to moderate vehicle repairs. I have had my brake pads done here, oil, changes, and most recently the starter on my wife's vehicle. Really is a good price versus bigger chain automotive repair shops. Tein is the owner and is always friendly. I have friends that come here as well to get their repairs done. Best to get your car in here when they open. read more

I have been coming here for many years and have brought several different cars. Recently One of the turn signal bulbs on my car went out and the vehicle I drive it's not that easy to access the bulb so I needed to go to a mechanic. I usually like to get a couple of different quotes whenever I need to get a job done and, this was by far the best quote I was given to replace the bulb. They were a fraction of the cost that the other places told me. The owner is very friendly and he had me out of there very quickly for a very fair and affordable price. THEY'RE SCAMMER. DO NOT GO THERE. Part 1: The first time when I went to them to add freon into my car. They came back to me and told me that's it's not working and it might be the ac compressor. BUT I just bought a new ac compressor from Napa and finished installing it the earlier the same day. Even though it didn't work, I still had to pay them for the freon and their "service." Part 2: I bought another ac compressor, but this time from O'Riley. Installed it and went back to them. This time I was keeping an eye on them and saw them with something in their hand like a relay fuse. I went to look at my fuse box and saw that my relay fuse was missing. I asked them where my relay fuse was and they pretended to act dumb. After I left for a few minutes and went back it to look at my fuse box, the relay fuse for my ac was magically there. I went inside they told me that I still needed to pay for the freon and their "service." read more

Came back today to get an oil change and alignment. The previous oil change was great. Today, I clearly communicated that I needed the oil change and explained the problem with alignment at 8:30am (my car shifting left to right on freeway and need them to look at it). Handed me the invoice for only oil change. I thought this was weird so I asked how much the alignment was wether it was free or not. He laughed and said it's $39 not free. I told him ok (expecting him to know that's what I wanted after our conversation). Called 11am to see if the car was ready as I left the shop and was quoted 40 mins. Provided no updates about the car being ready. When I got back to the shop at 11:20am, I inquired about the condition of the car, all good. They told me that they did not do an alignment and that I said nothing about it. This is my last time coming here. Oil change is $50 with your own filter. read more

Then the guy asked me what kind of car I had, when I told him that it was a VW, he claimed that they only work on American and Japanese cars. Very dirty waiting room. Was misquoted for 3 items that I don't need. Spent hours waiting, paid $40 for a diagnosis and all I got 10 minutes after looking at my car was an estimate I could have got over the phone. All for what they 'thought it'd be', nothing verified, given the symptoms of leaking coolant. I have a hose that was misplaced when I hit a large bump. When I asked the mechanic about that, he said, 'oh, I didn't even see that'. They wanted to charge me at least $800 to put in a new radiator, coolant fan and thermostat!! They didn't even try putting liquid in my car to see where it was leaking from. The fan works just fine, as does the thermostat. Crooks! Steer clear of De Anza. read more

When they're for tire alignment the sign said $39 for most cars fast for $59 since I have a van. I said ok and he start the paper work and told me that its going to take some time and i said fine. He toke the keys, i told the guy that he should list the price so people know and went out standing next to my car he went out with the keys and asked me to find anther place since i am not satisfy with the price I told the guy I already did the paperwork and if I didn't want to do it I would walk away when you told me the price still he want me to find another place and I asked him do you want to work or what? I love the fact that you can take your own parts and they will charge you Just the labor. For example I buy my own oil and filter and they charge me Just the labor to change it. Today I had a LOF, transmission flush and air filter. They checked my brakes and coolant and told me they were fine. They could have easily sold me a coolant flush. Well I got here a few minutes before lunch and I guess all of the employees take a lunch at 12p. So now I have to wait for their lunch to be over and the service to be done, so they told me that it will be about an hour and a half wait. So I'm not too happy about that. It looks like they are a slow business here right now, there is no one else in the waiting room. I think the price is way too expensive. I am required by the DMV to get a brake and light adjustment and the only place in the area that does it is this place apparently. So I think they are charging too much because they know they can. I don't know if these guys are really good or bad I took my car there for an oil change two times in a row I wasn't sure if they correctly changed it right or not I told him I had a transmission leak put my car on the left and then decided not to even find the lift the leak I'm sorry and what I don't understand is that if I had a leak then why didn't you say anything when you change my oil that's what's funny about this place I wouldn't recommend going there that's the only reason why I wouldn't go back because if you're changing someone's oil and you got it on the left and you see something else is wrong some other leakage come from somewhere else you should tell your client good luck with them read more

I went through a journey the past months trying to get work done on my car, went to Les Schwab on Fulton who diagnosed my car,saying I needed new bearings and a brake job, after they made me buy a new tire. Went to Jiffy Lube on Zinfandel,where I spent 3 hours, come to find out the mechanic diagnosed my car incorrectly. So,I came back to DeAnza. I try to support businesses around where I live. They did work for me before. Last Thursday called at 11:30 am, said I needed a valve cover gasket replaced. Came in at 1pm, by 5:30, my valve cover was handled, said I needed my brakes done. I came to this place to get my front struts and mounts fixed. The price was fair but wasn't satisfied with the work. My strut mount bolts were over tightened and my car started making a new scratch-like noise upon turns. They couldn't tell me what it was. It never made that sound before I took my car to them. And usually an auto shop lets you know if there are existing or future mechanical problems pertaining to the service you choosed. They did not provide that courtesy service. i work for Kaiser rite beside this place. a lot of us used to go there a lot but now most of us don't. He really doesn't know how to work with brakes. I have taken my car in there regularly for the last 2 yrs but its seems like he wont last long. i drive very well and so do my coworkers but he always says your car is too small for u. u have long legs u pump the brake too hard. That's a lame excuse. Last year he changed my engine mounts and in October it broke. both rear and front mount..first he said my rods need to be changed and than he said my router for rear and than my car still kept on shaking. so finally he said they don't now my car shakes. my engine light came on the same time. so i took it to Firestone and they said my engine mounts were broken. The mechanic said that just by turning the car on and De Anza's Tim couldn't even after all the inspection. They probably didn't want to let me know cause engine mounts are not suppose to break in 6 months. overall they made more than $500 in that 8 days period from me. I would not recommend this place for anything else but oil change. read more

Do not come here to get an IID installed - overpriced and very unhelpful - I had nothing but problems and they can be very confrontational. One customer was threatening to sue them on one of my calibrations and another time I hade to pay an extra 70 dollars because the device killed my battery - and registered a fail. Horrible. I got my alignment done on all 4 of my tires here. (Thought saving 10 bucks was worth going here....whoops) they did the alignment. Showed me some paper with 80's like 3d graphics showing how off my alignment was. I drove off, didn't think much of a difference. Came back a few days later once I was convinced nothing was done, and they refused to re test it. I mean, come on now. What can I do? Except warn others. read more
