    The goods!

Love this spot so much. The family is very sweet despite being super busy. They got EVERYTHING! Fresh noodles, fresh tofu, fresh tofu pudding, fresh tofu puff and more. FRESH! Which also means, it will have to be eaten soon! Not a problem! The price is also affordable for all the labor put into making it! I wish they were closer to where I live, but I always make some time to go there because you can't find this anywhere else (a few places do sell it, but it's not as good and variety). Go early too as something sell out by 4pm! They are THAT good! Enjoy!

I'm not one to buy stuff from the side of the street (unless it's street food made right in front of me) but I was on 8th Ave and I just gotta support local business especially when it's my people (the word 台山 on the sign drew me in). I checked the reviews from fellow Yelpers before going through with it and I was not disappointed! The tofu dessert (豆腐花) was warm, silky smooth, and delicious. I only wished the sugary syrup was a slightly thicker consistency and that they gave me more of it. I loudly and proudly slurped my tofu dessert in the car as my bf rolled his eyes (we got dinner reservations that night and I was not supposed to be snacking before then). But to me, there's always room for dessert... even if dessert is eaten beforehand.

Oh my goodness. I'm so glad to have stumbled onto this stall. We grew up in the Philippines and tofufa is our jam! This stall sells taho or dofu fa, and it is so smooth. She also has mochi filled w peanut and steamed rice cake. So good. To the YELP poster who shared her address- thank you!

Love this Tofu Stall on the side corner of busy 8th Avenue. Serving up different varieties of Tofu, Rice noodles, pearl noodles and bunch of Taishan Glutinous desserts. Aside from the tofu; everything else is already prepackaged and made fresh daily. I like chewy noodles hence I really liked the texture of the noodles from this place. My mom attempted to make rice noodles from scratch, but still couldn't reach the same texture as this place. Price is decent for the prepackaged amount.

They had silken tofu but would not sell me any but the person in front just ordered the same thing. This is not good business practice.

Amazing place for silky smooth tofu pudding! It's always busy for a reason, you can't get better tofu pudding than this stall.

Still serving tofu fa, grass jelly, rice noodle rolls, mochi (peanut and red bean). The tofu fa was super silky. Truly a hole in the wall.

Consistent quality, fast, and cheap. I love their tofu pudding and mochi! Their mochi is not dense and really light. Peanut and coconut!

A quick look at the menu yields the usual suspects found on fast food Korean menus: kalbi over rice and bulgogi sandwich. However, what intrigued me was the fried udon, which I ended up ordering. The chef stir fried a pack of white udon noodles with sliced cabbage and carrots, adding sesame oil, soy sauce and oyster sauce. I was pretty happy when the tourists walking by murmured, "That smells so good." As a Yelper, you have to love "food envy". I added on extra beef and when I received my order, I was pleasantly surprised by the weight. Seemed like a great bargain for $8. I settled back at my apartment and started my feast. The dish was packed with udon, rice, bulgogi, veggies and three fried dumplings. The dumplings were subpar, but still a nice side dish, acting similar to a breadbasket. It's there for you, but you don't have to eat it. The top was covered with bulgogi and Korean chili sauce, an above average showing for a food cart. The beef is nicely marinated and with the paste had a nice sweet and mildy spicy flavor. The udon noodles were excellent. Fried and cooked with soy sauce and oyster sauce, the noodles had a slight brown tint and smelled amazing The lady also drizzled some aioli sauce and bundled with the veggies gave off a creamy texture. Add to the fact that it's a rare dish to find at a food truck, gives the fried udon even more value. All in all, it seemed like a great and solid cart. Hopefully, Gobuki will stay for a while and the lines will start forming (not sure how it is during prime lunch time). I do have to note that the surface for cooking was rather small, so there could be a production logjam if customers are ordering the fried udon in multiples.

Bapcha used to be there and I didn't like their food that much (plus their cheap portions), but I saw a different team there and figured to give it a shot. The kalbi is VERY flavorful and the meat to rice ratio is pretty good (not cheap with the meat). They also offer it in a (baguette) and have bulgoki (with rice or on baguette also), mandu, spicy chicken, and fried udon. Looking forward to the fried udon next time I go there. Decent prices ranging from $6-$8. The only downfall is that it's a long line and you may have to wait a little - but better than Duke (feels like sardines in there!).

I put it in my mouth, and that's what happened. I inhaled the whole thang down. Then I looked at what I had done, and it was good. I think the vendor's secret must be either using Hebrew National or injecting liquid into the hot dog, because it's so moist and juicy when you bite into it. The amount of condiments and kraut is just right.

For $2, I enjoyed my first real meal of the day and the first in NYC in 2 years - a dog with spicy mustard and sauerkraut. And it was good, people. Reeeal good. Made well enough that mustard didn't squirt out all over me and peg me as the lame-o Midwesterner posing as a slick kitty from the city for a day. Delicious enough to soothe my empty stomach (yes, it's true - sauerkraut can soothe! Who knew?). I think I mentioned in my Renegade Craft Fair review that I purchased an "I [picture of Chicago-style hot dog] Chicago" t-shirt, which has led my husband and me to add "I hot dog Chicago" to our vernacular. Now I can say I hot dog New York, too.
