    Chicken Shawarma Wrap

I had a great experience at Tofas. When I first walked in, I expected it to be really cold, but the temperature was actually perfect and super comfortable. The bathroom was clean and smelled pleasantly fresh, which I always appreciate and notice right away. The music was great and added to the overall vibe. The girl who took my order was fantastic -- friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She made the experience even better with her positive attitude and great customer service. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was absolutely delicious -- hands down the best I've had. Flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

I think my visit was just okay. Below I've summarized how each part of my plate was! Chicken: This was actually the star of the show! It was tender, very flavorful, and paired nicely with everything. Rice Pilaf: I think it was a little too yellow (?) and a bit too oily for me. The flavor was also okay, but not my favorite. Salad: Too much vinegar!!! Veggies: Pretty good! Only a few pieces though. Hummus: I think it just wasn't to my taste, but it was really salty (compared to ones I've tried in the past) and a little watery. Pita bread: Perfect! Overall, I think the flavors were really strong and I was hoping for a mediterranean that was more subtle. I do think for the price, portions (especially the chicken) should've been much more. There also weren't many people dining inside, so it was a bit quiet.

    Combo plate

Had their combo plate and it was fantastic! Nice modern restaurant and friendly service. Will definitely visit again...

Chicken Kebab Plate and Lamb(Shish) Kebab Plate

I got the combination plate which consisted of 3 pieces of chicken, 3 pieces of beef and 1 piece of lamb which were all dried but still edible along with 3 pieces of bell peppers and onions. For the price they charged the portion was very small! Plus we got charged $1 for the 2 cups of water. Food came out about 15 mins after placing our order. Will come back in 2 years to write another review which was how long it took me from the last time I visited.

Tofas is a great spot with delicious food, though portions are smaller than expected. The beef plate stands out with tender, juicy beef, fragrant rice, and a tangy, savory salad. I only wish they provided more garlic sauce. They also gave smaller portions of the beef and had more vegetablescompared to meat. The warm pita was good, and the lamb burger was our favorite--savory without the typical gamy taste, perfectly paired with its fixings. However, skip the cake. It was frozen solid and inedible as we hammered our fork for a bite then broke it. Dessert is better found elsewhere. The staff is nice, but the food takes a while to arrive. The location has a casual yet sophisticated vibe and is popular for group celebrations.

clean environment, nice staff, was disappointed with the small amount of meat given, it was like 8 pieces. i think other places offer better deals for you buck, this was about $18

Ada says my dog can be off leash due to disability.

UPDATE 4: Manager made it a point to harass me in front of everyone saying I leave bad reviews. If you treat me the right way I would not have to leave bad reviews. I had to inform a customer that they were not allowed to engage my service dog ‍ per the ADA. It is a federal and state offense to engage or distract a working service dog. The customer chose to react instead of apologizing. Then the manager comes out and attacks me saying I'm in the wrong for telling her customer to not play with my service dog. To which I remind her she is a public access business and the business needs to be compliant with federal laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act. That means If another customer is engaging my service dog without my consent I have the right to ask them to stop with out the business retaliating against me. Then she attacked me for: 1.) my dog being off leash 2.) accusing my dog of roaming around in the corner First- the ADA allows her to be off leash due to my neck injury (see picture attached to this review) Secondly- I WAS IN THE CORNER getting the straw and lid for my soda. If I am on the corner getting an item obviously my service dog ‍ will be in the corner as well as she is next to me unless I tell her to stay laying down somewhere else! While she argued with me my service dog left our table and came over to the counter where I stood. Then she accuses my dog being out of control. I told her my dog is sensing that my blood pressure is dropping and by coming over to me to alert me she is doing what she was trained to do. Then she says I have to leave I said I will not leave I'm going to stay and eat my food I have done nothing wrong. I have only told this lady to not speak to and engage my service dog. She screams she can deny me service. To which I remind her you cannot deny me service because of disability reasons and you would be denying me based upon my disability and having to tell someone to leave my service dog alone. Lastly Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) states a business CANNOT retaliate on someone DUE TO THEIR DISABILITY OR HAVING TO DEFEND THEMSELVES BECAUSE OF THEIR DISABILITY. (See second picture I attached) Look i'm not out to get you and make you look bad, but if you start attacking me because someone else in your restaurant is breaking the law by trying to engage my service dog under state and federal laws, I have the right to talk to the person and tell them to stop distracting my service dog, and to ignore her and you do not have the right to tell me I cannot come in for service because they were in the wrong If you refuse me service it would be because of my service dog related to my disability which is not allowed. The person who was trying to play with my service dog should be the one who needs to leave if anyone is forced to have to go.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.

My husband and I actually started coming here because we received a gift certificate on our wedding day, so every visit has always been meaningful to us. Unfortunately, our most recent visit completely changed how I feel about this restaurant. Our waitress was Brenda (a middle-aged Caucasian woman with glasses). I want to be clear about who served us because my receipt also listed the name Brenda, and I would hate for another employee to receive this review by mistake. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was a very busy night and the restaurant was full. I want to say upfront that I completely respect how hard servers work, and I understand busy nights happen. However, after sitting for quite a while without anyone taking our order, I politely told Brenda that we were ready. I am diabetic and was not feeling well, so the wait was starting to affect me. Her response was, "Sorry, we're really busy tonight and there are only three of us waitressing." I understood that they might be short staffed, but at the very least she could have taken our drink order. Instead, she continued cleaning tables and serving other customers. I watched four different tables get seated after us and receive drinks, salads, and appetizers before we even placed our order. As someone who has been coming here for years, I have never felt so uncomfortable or overlooked in this restaurant. In 2026, no customer should feel that way anywhere. When our food finally came, everything arrived at once -- our hummus, salad, and entrée -- which made the experience feel rushed and poorly handled. When I asked Brenda for more napkins, she never returned to our table. We eventually had to go to the register ourselves to pay because she never brought our check. Before leaving, I explained to her how the situation made me feel. She responded with several explanations about being busy and short staffed, but that was never the real issue. The issue was the way we were treated. She forgot who we were all night but when it came to pay my tab, she definitely knew what table we were sitting at because her response was. I'll get your tab for table 3.. The food was amazing as it has always been, but sadly the service we received completely ruined the experience. After nearly nine years of coming here, this will unfortunately be my last visit.
