The guys showed up on time(early), got straight to work, and did a great job. They even left the job site cleaner than they found it. Highly recommend them! read more

Kreger Todd (Jim Todd's son) came over yesterday and core drilled two holes through flagstone and a fairly deep concrete base. This is the first time I've used this firm and I was encouraged after reading reviews and talking with Jim. The positive reviews weren't wrong. I needed the holes to be in precise locations (stone isn't very forgiving if you miss). The way Kreger answered my main concerns before we started gave me further confidence to proceed. He did the job perfectly and I couldn't have been more pleased . . . or relieved. I think the Todd's know their business. Bill P read more

Jim is a professional and thorough contractor, hired him 2x and he did excellent work, highly recommend. If we all do reviews good guys like him do even better!! read more

Very prompt response. On time & even helped sleeve the drain. They went above & beyond.

I have a detached garage, and I needed to run two Schedule 40 conduits from my service panel, underground, and into the garage wall. The problem was that there was a huge concrete footing under the wall (about 20 inches deep). My best option was to dig out the dirt under the footing, and then core-drill two holes through the bottom plate of the wall, all the way through the concrete footing. It was hard to find companies that specialize in core drilling, so I was really lucky to find "Todd's Core Drilling" in Costa Mesa. I called them, and spoke to the owner, Jim Todd, who was very friendly and helpful. He told me that his son Craig could do the job the next morning. Craig showed up promptly the next morning, and core-drilled two perfect holes in the bottom plate of my garage wall, which I never would have been able to do myself. The price was very reasonable. Craig was very friendly, did a quality job, and cleaned things up before he left. This is an excellent company; friendly, prompt, and great pricing. Highly recommended! read more

I called these guys to do concrete cutting. Jim Todd's only focus is how much he's going to get paid and how quickly he can get paid. He thinks that showing up early is better than showing up on time. He charged me $600 and was on the job maybe two hours. His son caused damage to the property, cutting through a clean-out in the driveway. My call from Jim was "I got to get out of here, I've been here long enough. I need to get paid. It's just a little trap, I want to get out of here". Not only did he not take responsibility for the damage caused, he made light of it. Todd coring is an embarrassment to the construction industry. I will be contacting the Contractors State License Board to file an official complaint. read more

Waited five days for an appointment for this contractor to arrive to do concrete cutting. I asked that he call me when he was on his way so I could meet him at the job site. He called 20 minutes before our appointment and again nine minutes later, the rude, arrogant owner of the business canceled because I wasn't there 10 minutes before the agreed time. The owner told me he would only do business on a "cash basis." That sounded a bit shady to me but I agreed. There are plenty of concrete cutting companies in the area. Do you self a favor and skip this one. Very rude, unprofessional and arrogant. read more

These guys are as good as it gets when it comes to fast and amazing work. I had a gas fire pit with 8x8x16 cinder filled with concrete that I put fake stone on top of. This fake stone Crap I put over the cinder shattered when I was applying it because it was such bad material. Having to core this out along with the cinder i figured it was going to be a mess and have to repair after inspection. They went through it like butter and it was SO clean I won't have to repair.(pictures above) So thankful we found these guys. Bill and his son were beyond clean and professional. When you see them roll up in the 550 you know they know what they're doing. read more

Jim and Craig came by to do a curb core drill and auger under the parkway and sidewalk, about a 12 foot distance since it is all concreted in. Were in and done in under 2 hours. I called Jim at Todds Core Drilling on Friday and told him what I needed and he said he could come out Monday and work on it. He cored out the curb and then hooked up all the drainage pipe I needed to stop the rampant runoff. His work was excellent and he explained all of what he was doing along the way. The weather was terrible that day but he just kept at it with a great attitude. His price was very fair for all the work he did. If you are in need of this type of work you wouldnt go wrong to call him. Hes a great guy and a great worker. John Rosmus read more

Called to get a quote to do a simple curb core for our drains in the backyard. I was asked to explain what was going on and was mid-way through explaining and the guy (pretty sure it was Todd) jumped in and said - "I got it... let me talk now". I was shocked. So then he went through his spiel. When he stopped I told him that he didn't have the full picture because he only allowed me to explain half of the issues. So then I started explaining the situation more and barely got through giving detail again and he did the same thing - Except that time he said "okay be quiet and I will talk now." If that's the treatment you get when trying to get a quote, I can't imagine what their work ethic and on-site demeanor is. Stay away. read more

Jim and his son did an awesome job. They called me back immediately, fiCame, Cut, Cleaned-up...True pro's! G

After calling bunch of people, even though i was ready take the permit, not even single person responded positively, I called Todd's office and Tracie responded back and got a positive response about the core drilling that i wanted to get for my curb and sidewalk. Other contractors were charging a lot and not ready to get the city license. Jim and Tracie worked on getting the city of cerritos business license and they finished my work pretty quick which was holding for long time. He also charged very less and very very very easy to work with. Definitely recommend these people. read more

What amazing service - and in my opinion, you won't find better Jim and his son showed up on time (sometimes a novel concept); worked hard; and did a fantastic job. We had two sets of sliding glass doors removed and new channels had to be cut in the concrete slab in preparation for the new 'window walls'. It was challenging work and only a skilled craftsman could have accomplished the job - Jim was definitely the man (and company) to do the work. Jim and his son conducted themselves as professionals and were a pleasure to work with. Any we have future drilling or concrete sawing required - we would definitely have the Todd men back. read more

This company has outstanding service, they cored a hole for me and it came out great, they were on time and a great value

Do not call these guys, very rude and will not answer any questions. In fact, they hung up on me, twice.

Jim and Kreger did an exceptional job of removing concrete and stone from a walkway area. Jim responded quickly to my request and came out and gave me an estimate. They removed everything efficiently and hauled it all away. Thank you both for doing such a great job in a timely manner. read more

Thanks for returning the call .... did not need your service, but appreciate the call back and response

These guys are AWESOME!!! I had waited for two months for my regular contractor to get this job done. I got tired of waiting and called Todd's Core Drilling on a Monday to have a drain line run from the side yard to the curb. They were out to my property by that Wednesday. They dug the trench, cored the curb, ran the pipe under the sidewalk, and covered everything back up. The job was completed in 30 minutes. No muss, no fuss. They even squeezed me in after they had already worked a 12 hour day. Fast, highly efficient, affordable, and they show up when they say. I can't recommend these guys enough! Thank you Jim!!! read more

Jim Todd is the real deal! In the middle of a major kitchen remodel, our plumber encountered a very large concrete footing in the way of where he needed to run a drain line. I called Jim and he knew exactly what questions to ask to come up with a game plan for coring through it. He even agreed to come out that same day so that the plumber could resume the next morning, and no time would be lost in our schedule. He and his partner (and son) Craig arrived in a few hours. They were tired and dusty after a very long day of core drilling, but they didn't complain, they just got to it! They had the coring done in under an hour. They saved the day! They were reasonably priced (especially considering their same day response time). In the event I ever need core drilling in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Jim! read more
