Flaming Tomahawk
Victoria W.

A super fun and vibey restaurant that genuinely surprised me with how tasty the food was. We had a birthday reservation that we were running late for. I called ahead to let them know we were running late. They did warn us that if we were more than 10 minutes (or maybe 15 minutes, I forget now) late then they would have to give away our table. That was very understandable. We arrived literally ON THE MINUTE and they were able to seat us. I was so grateful. We ordered the Carajillo, shots of tequila, and the Flaming Tomahawk. The presentation of the drinks was my favorite part! Every item had it's own performance. And, including a sugar cube with the shot was a nice touch, too. The flaming tomahawk was a fun experience, as well. I like that someone actually stood by our table to give it the final crisp with a flame, cut it up for us, and presented the pieces in a beautiful display. Of course, the flavor of everything was off the charts. Delicious steak with bone marrow and chimichurri sauce. The truffle mac n cheese on the side was incredible. The wait staff were great. We enjoyed the periodic dimming of the lights in the entire restaurant for a brief fire show. Just overall really cool and memorable details that added to a delicious meal. I'd return here for my next Vegas trip.

Bone Marrow (delicious but have used some crispy bread)

Place is bonkers good! Got to see a fire show along with dinner again, plus a live DJ. The food and service are beyond comparison here in Vegas. I was here with a few coworkers and all of us loved the ambiance, the show and our meals. I had the Branzino again, along with a side of Bone Marrow, creamy potatoes and some spicy corn - everything hit the mark. If you are in Vegas, you must give them a try - out of this world!!!

Good food. Solid drinks, dance club atmosphere. Their brunch on the weekends is highly underrated. I prefer it over the dinner vibe where the restaurant is completely booked out! Their salsa is to die for. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich, I get it EVERY time. It comes with breakfast potatoes as well. Between that and a Bloody Mary go take a fat nap at your room on the strip afterwards. I would give 5 stars but dinner here always leaves me lacking. Tried 2x. I'm definitely coming back and let's see if we can take that 4 star up to a 5 next time. Let's go Toca Madeira!

We came here for a weekend brunch and were excited to try it. The food was decent but very overpriced. The restaurant is very pretty but the seats in the bar area are on top of one another. We were sat to sit right next to another couple and had to listen to them the entire time which was really annoying. We asked the hostess to be moved and she refused. The restaurant was about 30% occupied and there were many empty tables. We asked her one more time because we didn't want to listen to our neighbors anymore and just requested to be moved one table over and she once again said no. The table we requested sat empty the entire time we dined. The hostess should be fired or you should change your awful rules about not wanting to make customers happy. I regret not getting up and walking out. I will never come back here.

Matcha Martini and Guava Mimosa

Toca Madera at Aria is absolutely beautiful and the perfect spot for a date night. The dim lighting, great atmosphere, and stylish decor create an amazing vibe from the moment you walk in. We came for brunch on a weekend and were seated right away with no wait. The service was excellent throughout our meal. I ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. The chicken and waffles were also really good. We went with the mimosas, which were a little pricey at $75 for a bottle of champagne and three different juices, but it's Vegas, so who cares? The real standout was the Matcha Martini. Wow! It was easily my favorite drink of the trip. I'd honestly go back just to have a few more of those. Great food, great drinks, great service, and an awesome atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll be returning to.

Branzino fish

Great service, great vibes, and a really nice atmosphere. They keep the chips and salsa coming before your meal, and they're so good that you can easily fill up before your entrée even arrives. I ordered the scallops, Branzino, rice, and corn, and everything was cooked well with great flavor. The portions were generous, which is always a plus. The service really stood out. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. Overall, this is a great spot with excellent food, strong service, and an enjoyable dining experience. I'll definitely be back.

Fire Girl Show

Wow! Being that I worked in the higher end food service industry, this place really impressed me. Our server, BK/Brandon, was amazing! Our busser girl was also very sweet. The ambiance in here is so fun as is the fire show girl. The music is loud so I wouldn't bring kids here. Definitely more of an adult, romantic restaurant for couples, groups, or girls night out. We started with the chips and salsa, guacamole, calamari, hamachi, and caesar salad. All were incredible. Their salsa is more thick and creamy and not too spicy! Guacamole was delicious and flavorful. It came with plantain chips, but we preferred the normal chips. Calamari was perfectly cooked, not chewy, and came with a green salsa sauce. The sauce didn't have much flavor. This dish could be elevated by adding a spicy pepper or spicy aioli as the sauce! Caesar salad portion was huge! Perfectly coated sauce, a little kick, and so delicious! For drinks, I tried their new wellness mocktail, the Alchemist. Though it was tasty, it was a very small glass, which I didn't feel was worth $16. For entrees, we had the ribeye and New York strip. We had the side of whipped potatoes, corn, and truffle fries. Both steaks were delicious, but a little under cooked for both of them. Whipped potatoes were smooth and fabulous. Corn was better than I expected! Like elote style but it's not on the cob. Truffle fries were very tasty, but just like any average curly fry. For dessert, we had the platter with a variety of 3 desserts. All of them were AMAZING! The warm cake was like a butter cake with ice cream, the strawberry tres leches was light and sweet, and the brownie was rich! All of the desserts had fresh berries. We paired our desserts with an americano. We left so full and happy. What an amazing restaurant. I can't wait to come back.

Broccolini, ceviche, calamari and cauliflower

Just as delicious as I remembered! We opted to try a few different dishes and weren't disappointed! The oysters were spot on, and that whipped mash and cilantro rice to accompany the branzino... amazing! Service is always top notch and the whole restaurant is a vibe! From the DJ to the flame throwers, a whole experience.

As locals, we don't venture to the Strip often, especially on weekends, but after seeing Toca Madera on social media and noticing they were on InKind, we decided to give it a try. It started off a little rocky -- we waited about 15 minutes before a server greeted us. They were very apologetic and offered to comp our drinks because of the wait, which was a nice gesture. We didn't notice until we were already on our way home that the drinks were still included on our final bill, so unfortunately the promised comp wasn't actually applied. That said, the food completely made up for the rough start! Everything was absolutely delicious -- some of the best elevated Mexican food we've had. Great atmosphere, beautiful restaurant, and the food was definitely the star. Despite the service hiccup, we really enjoyed our experience and will absolutely be back!

Gorgeous entry...

Beautiful Tulum-inspired space, but wildly overpriced, even for the Strip, and the hospitality has completely fallen apart. What a disappointing experience. We wanted a fun, fancy, brunch and chose Toca because the room is gorgeous and the food reviews looked solid. Instead, the tone was set the moment the hostess tried seating us at a table my man physically couldn't fit into because both sides were jammed up against other tables. Yes, he's big and tall, but this wasn't a size issue; it was a layout issue. She moved us a few tables down, directly on top of another couple, and when we politely asked to shift one table over, she snapped a sharp "no." So there we were squeezed in like cattle, practically sharing a table with the most annoying woman alive, loudly complaining about FB the entire time. Not even the loud music could drown her out. My man went back to the hostess to ask again for a different table, and she shut him down with another "no," despite the place being maybe 35% full. We ate our overpriced food, both kicking ourselves for not walking out and taking our business to Javier's, where hospitality still means something. Instead of focusing on the delicious matcha martini, awesome music, or beautiful details everywhere, I'm stuck on hospitality. This place needs to go back to the basics. People like us are willing to pay triple for a Strip experience, but it has to satisfy more than just a pretty space with cool music. Sharing this so you can improve and treat guests with the respect you forgot to show us. And for the record: the table we originally asked for sat empty the entire time.

Steak fajitas Tinga tacos Fish tacos
Claudia G.

People always say this place makes them feel like they're in Tulum, and I totally get it. It definitely has that coastal feel, especially for being in the middle of Vegas. It's one of my favorite spots for a girls' night, and you can easily walk over to the Cosmo afterward to keep the night going. We got the steak fajitas and shared the tinga and fish tacos. They're all pretty classic choices that are hard to mess up but everything was really good. Plus, nothing felt too heavy which is always a win when you're going out in a tight dress!

I don't give out a lot of 5's and if someone were to argue against it I can see why. For me though, here's why it's a 5. In short, the food is delicious, the drinks are consistently good, the service is on point and the vibes at night scream date night. This place has a special place in my heart because it's where I discovered the carajillo, the carajillo I use as the gold standard for all carajillos; granted the OG version with cream is the best. They have great variety of cocktails and getting them is an experience all on their own. Each drink and its presentation are unique to one another. Great IG worthy drinks. As for the food everything was delicious and the proteins tender. Portions are pretty decent for this type of place. Also they're on online so you can kind of splurge a little if you want to Not sure if it's every night but I have seen live musicians and fire dancers there.

Are reservations required at the bar?

I don't know. We made reservations for the table but I did see a lot of walk ins just go to the bar.

Can you get happy hour anywhere in the restaurant or is it only in the bar and lounge?

Hello Kat, our Happy Hour in Toca Madera Las Vegas is available only at our bar top, which features $8 cocktails and bites starting from $5. We look forward to having you in soon!

When are the fire dancers there?

Do I need to make a reservation for the bar area?Thx

Better to make reservations bcoz it gets busy & you may not be able to get a table. However, it depends on the day & time & how many in the party; otherwise, you can go there without reservation at anytime. The bar is also available.

Do you have to be 21+ to dine there?

Children under 16 are not permitted after 7pm in the restaurant, or at any time in our bar/lounge area.

Are kids allowed?

Kids under 16 aren't allowed in after 7pm

Is there any other number to call besides the one listed, I've called every other day and no one answers?

I don't have another number per se, but I did go on their website at https://tocamadera.com/locations/las-vegas and was able to make my reservation that way. I hope that helps!

What is an average bill for two look like? How is the flavor profile of the food and are portions sizes good?

Do not get the tuna tacos!! $20 for two tiny tacos. Branzino was great! The guacamole was delicious. I believe it was complimentary. I went with a big group. Not sure of the…

Do they take walk ins?

If their not busy they do.

What time does the fire performance start? And what time does brunch begin and end?

They do the performance in the evening times show is approximately every 15 mins she goes around the entire restaurant. I don't know what time brunch is.

What time does a fire eater perform and is it every night?

Every night and it starts around 6:30

Do they have a private area or room that can hold 20 people?

What's the bill usually run for a dinner for two?

Check your bill. They charge different than what's on your receipt they added $50 more to my bill. So your dinner for 2 may be a little extra.

Do they take Apple Pay?

No they don't.

What is the age limit?

I just went this past Memorial Day weekend. The confirmation email had the following.. Children…

Are kids allowed after 8? ? What time does the fire show start? Thanks!

Toca is not for kids

Is this toddler appropriate?

All fine dining restaurants are not appropriate for toddlers.

When is the fire show?

The fire dance starts around 7pm.

Coming to Vegas in April. Looking to make a reservation. Would you recommend the dining area or lounge for two single women who want to have dinner but also have fun?

Lounge!!

For two friends who wanna catch up, is it better to be in the lounge or dining area?

Hi Angel, we would recommend the dining area as the lounge is our bar area and can be louder than the main dining room.

From there, El Dorado Cantina caught my eye after looking at Mexican restaurants in the middle afternoon for lunch. I prefer stand alone restaurants, generally than restaurants in hotels or casinos. This review is for the Happy Hour menu. The restaurant had its Calaveras theme awaiting Dios de los Muertos. Very nice decor and friendly helpful server. I am gluten intolerant, or I would've ordered the mole, but I was there for their very extensive happy hour menu and from the following different kinds of tacos, I picked three based on her recommendations. The list of choices is: Carne Asada / Carnitas / Pulled Chicken / Al Pastor / Chorizo Corn & Poblano / Cauliflower / Crispy Beef & Brisket / Crispy Chicken / Quesabirria I chose the Al Pastor, Carne Asada and the Carnitas. Before my plate of three tacos I got a delicious basket of chips with green and red salsa. The tacos were filled with each particular meat and extras. They were all excellent with the Carnitas superlative, followed by the Al Pastor and then Carne Asada which needed a little salsa. I would have ordered dessert but I was filled up finishing the tacos. I might be gluten intolerant but I'm not glutton intolerant. Well done El Dorado.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican flavors, this is t the place for you. The green pozole was insanely salty and tasted only of cumin. The fajitas were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The hard shell tacos were so hard they were hard to eat. And the meat inside was ground beef...just a weird choice. Overall, a good experience because it was time spent with friends, but the food needs work.

They have different stations and lines depending on what you're ordering, with a huge variety of meats to choose from. I even spotted some more adventurous options, like cow brains and cow eyes! I tried the steak quesadilla, a chorizo taco, and a lengua taco. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, especially the tortillas, which tasted freshly homemade. The lengua taco was easily my favorite! The meat was incredibly flavorful and had the perfect texture. I've had lengua before that was rubbery and overly chewy, but this was tender and cooked beautifully. The green salsa added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor of the meat. The chorizo taco was also excellent! The meat was well-seasoned, savory, and had just the right amount of saltiness. It came with similar fresh toppings and salsa, which complemented everything really well. As much as I enjoyed it, I would definitely order more lengua tacos next time! The steak quesadilla, however, wasn't my favorite. It was completely different from what I typically think of as a quesadilla. Instead of a soft tortilla folded over melted cheese and meat, this one had a soft, house-made tortilla on the bottom with a layer of melted cheese, followed by steak and the usual toppings, and then what seemed like a hard crispy tostada-style shell on top. There wasn't any additional cheese between the steak and the top shell, so the layers felt pretty separate rather than everything being melted together. I'm not sure if this is a different style of quesadilla, but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting! It wasn't necessarily bad, just not my preference. I much preferred the tacos, especially the lengua! Another thing I appreciated was how quick and efficient the service was, especially considering how busy and lively the restaurant was. I also love that they're open super late, making this a great spot for a late-night bite in Vegas. Overall, I'm so glad I finally got to try Tacos El Gordo! The quality of the food, fresh ingredients, fun atmosphere, and efficient service made it a great experience. Although the quesadilla wasn't quite my style, the tacos more than made up for it. Definitely somewhere I'd happily return to on my next trip to Las Vegas!

Most waiters/waitresses were dressed in characters from El Chavo Del Ocho show. They even had a barrel where you can look like you lived in it like El Chavo. Loved how their physical Menu cover was made of what appeared to be wood. They served salsa and chips that were pretty good. Had real high hopes of having a wonderful experience here with my family but it wasn't so. That's about where our joy ended. After being seated by LA Chilindrina we waited 20 mins to receive our drinks but my Wife didn't receive hers at all. We were starting to feel neglected. Then it took 40 mins for for another waiter to take our order. Between the order being placed and the hour it took them to deliver our food, my wife noticed the people that were seated right before us were already finishing their meal. Then she also noticed that the people seated after us already had their appetizers. As my wife went to the restroom she found and told La Chilidrina that we were not happy with the service at all. She pointed out the guests before us and after us were being served and we were still waiting for our food. El Chavo asked if we like more "chile" and he showed up with it 1/2 hr later with the chips and salsa. Then we started to get bombarded which seems like by all the staff members coming to our table asking if everything was ok. At that point we figured we stayed this long let's at least try their food. Maybe that would make up for their horrible service. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and tasted bland. Family said food wasn't the greatest. After our plates were taken we were still asked if we wanted desert. Wife said no we just wanted to leave. Then waiter said that it would be on the house, and we still said we just wanted to leave. We are generous tippers and even with bad service we still leave a tip. This one we did not feel guilty for not tipping, nah it still sucks. We felt that there was no organized structure because we were being served by multiple people. If not mistaken there were 5 people interacting with us in total. Then we started to get their reason for the service displayed. If it were a reasonably new or recently opened establishment then we can understand. They have been in business for years and you would think that they would be pros by now. Then there were the guest before us and after us that were well tended to. All in all, unfortunately we will personally not be back again, which is a great shame for us because we would have loved to have supported La Vecindad. We hope this doesn't occur to you, but just heads up. Me: PiiiPiiiPiiiiPiiiPiiiiiii Wife: Wah Wah Waaahhhh
