This place is a disaster! Wack! Wack! Wack! It's clear this restaurant will be out of business very soon. This weekend, I had a reservation for my wife and me, but I was told reservations could only be made for three people, not two. So, we booked for three and then called to change it to two. When I spoke to the staff member, she said they couldn't accommodate us and do not accept walk-ins. How does a business expect to stay afloat by turning customers away and losing potential income? It reminds me of Nusr-Et Steakhouse, which was completely empty on a Saturday night before closing down. I visited papi Steak on Thursday night with a group of 14, and unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. Our server added drinks to our tab that we did not order or consume. When I brought it to his attention ( Neil C), he initially insisted the items had been ordered, then backpedaled, which was concerning. He also offered a celebratory cake for the guests we were honoring but failed to mention the cake wasn't complementary $32 each and two were brought. Transparency in situations like this matters, especially when dining in a group. We have dined at Papi Steak in Vegas in the past including the Miami location and have never encountered this kind of issue. We had a larger party and the service here was amazing ( only complaint is at the end once you finish eating and pay they kick you out of your seats unless you order more things so just make sure don't stop ordering if you don't want to leave or you will get booted!!) There is such an array of starters that you can get here. The pretzel bread was so good I didn't expect them to have that here but it was cooked beautiful and so soft and warm inside. I got the gatsby cocktail and it tasted amazing. Anything with pineapple is never a miss! The servers were quick and attentive as things came out and I love that the table had a lazy Susan, makes it sooo much easier when you have a large party to share! Lastly - my main course was the truffle jidori chicken. This was probably the best jidori chicken I have had in this city by far. I was born and raised in Las Vegas but moved to Cali. Whenever I visit with my husband, we like to go to restaurants that offer quality food with an experience to remember. Papi Steak did just that! I never saw myself ever paying $1k for a tomahawk steak but our group of 4 decided that we needed to see if "The Beef Case" was worth it or not. The lights began to strobe on our table, the live dj played "TV Off" by Kendrick Lamar, all of the servers paraded around us with lights and a sign like we just bought bottle service at a club! I'm currently 6 months pregnant so this was exactly the vibe that I was looking for since I didn't really care to actually go to a nightclub (this time). Our steak was 55oz and it was cooked perfectly. They seasoned it so well that no one at our table cared to try many of the sauces that accompanied this masterpiece. 10/10 We also ordered the Hamachi Crudo, 1oz of caviar, half a dozen of Miyagi oysters and the wagyu pastrami for appetizers 9/10 because the wagyu pieces that I had felt more like I was chewing on beef jerky. Great flavor but I personally didn't care for the texture on that dish. We also had the mashed potatoes (very creamy), Brussels sprouts (pretty tasty) and mac n' cheese (needed more salt but I'm pregnant so I think that was just me- ) as sides for our Tomahawk. For dessert we selected the strawberries n' cream creme brulee. The presentation on that dish was clever. We all loved the strawberry "caviar" that was on top- very cool! The only thing I wish they had was zero proof cocktail/wine list. It would have been nice to have some sparkling wine with our caviar service. They did have Heineken 0% which was pretty dope. This was our first time to Papi Steak. We wanted to give it time after its opening to fix any service kinks. Papi Steak is a beautiful and elegant restaurant, the staff were uniformed well and looked amazing. Upon arrival, we greeted seven elegantly dressed Hostesses. Only two out of seven looked up to greet us with a smile. (Earlier, I called and explained to the Hotel Concierge that we were celebrating our 22nd anniversary. And I asked for a booth seating but that didn't happen.) I was assured that there were notes on the reservation. I was under the impression that before the opening of the restaurant, there was a small meeting between staff to lookout for special occasion guests (since I worked for a fine dining restaurant many years ago). But no one on staff knew it was our anniversary. I reminded our server, and he replied "no one told me but I got it". And proceeded to take our order. Food took a long time. We ordered crab cakes, bread and the marrow as our apps. We had the Snake River Farm NY Strip along with some Maitake Mushrooms and Creamed Corn. We liked the crab cakes the best. And my Old Fashioned cocktail nice too. During our meal my wife wanted a ginger ale but we couldn't find our server. He disappeared so many times we couldn't count. Eventually we got my wife her drink but when we wanted another one, we had to wait until another Papi Steak show was over before our server came back. Also while serving our salad he dropped some of the food on our table but didn't clean it up which I found very telling. It was like he when he was serving us he was there but he really wasn't with us. In the hour and 20mins we were there, there were close to 10 orders of the "Papi Steak" (each a $1000). Our server kept leaving to do a steak introduction dance for every single order in the restaurant. Close to $600 (for just two of us) and the food was okay. Service although polite, was dismal at best. We couldn't enjoy our conversation due to the obnoxiousness of the environment. Order after order, the loud horns, dancing Ninja servers...you see them but not with you. It was like we were surrounded by people who were trying to outdo each other by continuous orders of these "Papi Steaks". Servers should be servers and not double as entertainers. Otherwise, this poor experience will always be the result. I am interested to see how they can overcome this service dilemma. I genuinely hope they can improve it as it's such a beautiful place. This is my third time visiting Papi Steak and it has been exceptional every time. The rib eye here has an incredible crust that I haven't found anywhere's else. The whipped potatoes are my absolute favorite and I get them every time. The pretzel bread is an excellent appetizer with a phenomenal crisp outside but doughy soft inside soaked in butter. The desserts are well worth saving room for and I've gone out of my way just to get a slice to go. The main star of the show though is the incredible waitstaff who are truly the best I've encountered. Giorgio is the highlight of my night and made tonight especially incredible, I now have a new favorite in the crepe cake due to him. Not only is Giorgio attentive, kind, and truly caring with incredible recommendations, but so is the rest of the staff. What really ruined the experience was the hostess. Despite having a reservation, we waited an entire hour with no apology or acknowledgment of the poor service. After waiting, we decided to eat at the bar, which ended up being fine, but the lack of accountability was frustrating.
