Was invited to this dinner last minute for a business dinner and loved the ambiance! I really felt fancy when I walked in and believe this may be one of the best restaurants I have been to concerning fanciness. . Now for the food, the seafood tower was great! Can never go wrong with seafood. The leg of bone, bone marrow was too much for me... I thought the flavor was not there and I am just not a fan of marrow in general. . The salads looked fantastic and my sea bass was amazing!! Overall, for a steak restaurant I think this place is quite good and the service is held to a high standard... but I am a foodie and feel there are so many other restaurants in Las Vegas and I wanted something other than steak and seafood. . The bread was fabulous, the seafood great but would have loved something a little more unique and special for such a nice restaurant!

Finally made it to SW Steakhouse after many trips to Vegas, and I genuinely cannot believe I waited this long. This was easily one of the best meals I have had in Vegas, and I will absolutely be back. We had a reservation but did not request an outdoor table. Once we arrived and saw how beautiful the patio was, we asked if we could get an outdoor table and let them know we were fine waiting. We were quoted about 30 minutes, but it ended up being much quicker, which was such a great start to the night. The outdoor ambiance is exactly what you want in Vegas--lively but still intimate, with strong heaters for cooler nights and a stunning waterfall show known as the "Lake of Dreams," which plays every 30 minutes starting at sunset. It really complements the high-end dining experience and makes the whole night feel special. Dinner was incredible. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the lobster blossoms, oysters, Caesar salad, 12 oz filet, salmon, short rib ravioli, wild mushrooms, mac and cheese, fries, and the Rocky Road dessert. Our server, Antonio, suggested ordering several items as half portions (which most restaurants don't offer) which made it so easy to try a little bit of everything. The Caesar salad is huge--easily enough for four people. The filet was cooked perfectly, and Antonio even brought out a trio of complimentary dipping sauces, although it was great on its own. The short rib ravioli was a standout. I was not a huge fan of the lobster blossoms since I am not big on deep-fried foods, but I still do not regret trying them. At the end of our meal, Antonio noticed that we did not touch the salmon and offered to box it up. When we said no thank you because it was a bit too oily for our taste, he went ahead and removed it from the bill without us even asking, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really speaks to the level of service here. They also serve complimentary pretzel bread and butter, which was so good. The birthday dessert is on the smaller side, so we upgraded to the Rocky Road, and it was 100% worth it. Overall, everything was top tier. Antonio truly made the experience even better. This is definitely going to be a must-visit for me every time I am in Vegas!

Food was amazing! Service was on key! We offered the Hamachi Crudo. Fresh and tasty. For diner I ordered the Dry Aged Bone in New York steak with the white cheddar, fontina & Gruyère Mac and Cheese. Our steak was cooked to perfection medium rear! Then mac and cheese was heaven and crumbs on top added a nice crisp. I also enjoyed a Lychee martini which is one of my favorite drinks. Loved it! My husband ordered the margarita and it was also very well made and was delicious. The place itself was nice, warm and inviting. I felt the food took a a little longer than expected. For dessert we had tried the Rocky Road which our waiter suggested. So good if you love chocolate. Hands down one of the best desserts I've had. Definitely a place you have to try.

Ranked as one of the top steakhouses in Las Vegas, SW Steakhouse delivers an upscale dining experience at the Wynn Casino and Resort. Service and quality and top tier with attentive wait staff. The food was superb as you would expect at any high end steakhouse. My boneless prime rib was well seasoned and left me very full. The sides consisting of puree potato, tater tots and corn brulee were ok but nothing that was memorable. I would definitely reserve this place for special occasions as it offers that elegant steakhouse feel. Pro tip: when you make a reservation, ask to be seated outdoors so you can view The Lake of Dreams show that plays every half hour with different scenes. It makes for a unique dining experience.

Finally back after 8 years and everything is still excellent. Hubby and I came to SW for our 8th year anniversary. I made reservations online a few weeks before our visit and we were seated right away when we arrived. All the waiters were very courteous and attentive. We enjoyed: Bread basket: 5/5 the three complimentary types of breads were fresh and warm. Pretzel was my fav. Pink sangria: 4/5 pretty tasty! Lychee martini: 3/5 this was ok, kinda sweet Tomato salad: 5/5 light and refreshing Cowboy ribeye: 5/5 cooked to perfection. I was able to finish about 3/4 of it. Our waiter said he was impressed. Potato au gratin: 3/5 not what I remember it to be. Texture and flavor was very average. I would skip this. Anniversary truffles: 5/5 these complimentary truffles were absolutely delicious. The white ones were amazing! Service and steak were top notch. Definitely recommend this place if you need a stea

Hands down one of the best steaks we've ever ate. This place knows quality and service. My husband and I made reservations as we wanted to stay "in" the hotel that night. SW was the right choice. Not only was our serves friendly and welcoming but attentive service received is exactly what we wanted. I can full heartedly say we will be making another reservation here next time around. Besides the fabulous steak, an item worth mentioning were the Rockefeller oysters. They were divine, no notes. Although, we had a slight delay to be seated, it didn't matter because the overall experience was wonderful.

I was with business partners, a total of 5 of us on this dinner. I have been fortunate enough to sample many various offerings in the resort corridor over the years and SW Steakhouse achieved a new low. We had a reservation at 7:30pm, checked in 5 minutes late but not a full restaurant so all was well. The Wynn Hotel usually sets the standard for fine cuisine and they rarely disappoint. On this particular evening they managed to disappoint to a new low, actually very impressively, as we saw a server twice in almost 2 hours. That leaves empty glasses with less revenue on the table no doubt. The mains (5) steaks came out after 1 hour and 45 minutes. An astonishing poor performance for this brand that we wondered if the kitchen was closed. The food was fine when it finally came, good taste, cooked as specified, and all of the sides were ok. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was ok, clean, well stocked restrooms, no issues there. However, the service here is on par with a Golden Corral, or less than that brand. In what world does it take 2 hours to feed 5 people on a $1k+ dinner? Was extremely disappointing, won't return anytime soon.

If you want some good quality meat, SW Steakhouse has the best steak around! The Bone-In Rib Eye was amazing! The meat has been aged and procured from the finest Midwestern ranchers. It was perfectly cooked (medium), tender yet juicy and charred to give it a unique flavor. Definitely the best Rib Eye I have ever had! The Baby Beet Salad and Complimentary Bread were really good starters. Besides the steaks and chops, SW had some delicious sides (big enough to share) and my favorite was the Maine Lobster Sardinian Gnocchi. Different from your average gnocchi but good and paired well with a steak. Also enjoyed the cocktails and if you come after 8pm, expect short shows every half hour on the lake! Dinner and a show, who can complain? The Singing Frog is what the restaurant is known for so well that they even have a beer named after it which is bomb! Overall amazing experience! Definitely recommend if you want a good steak, some drinks or even just a nice lakeside view. The steaks are a must! UPDATE: Food, drinks and ambiance are all still amazing! Service was on point and was upgraded from indoor seating to lakeside. The views were awesome for date night. The food was delicious and loved the Short Rib Ravioli; that needs to be made into an entree. The show started after sunset and came on about every 30 minutes. If I didn't have the show Awakening to catch after, I would have stayed for dessert. Definitely have to check it out if you're at the Wynn!

luxury experience from beginning to end. multiple servers tending to you, and everyone around is just extremely attentive. they brought out a mini chair so my bag wouldn't be on the ground. house bread is just as fluffy and perfect as it looks. lychee martini was probably the lightest one i've ever had, fruity, fragrant, and slightly tart. ribeye steak came with three sauces (house sauce - barbecue reminiscent, chimichurri, and horseradish which was prob the best). a job well done BUT THE BEST BITE OF FOOD I HAVE PROB EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE, the short rib tater tots...the server explained that the staff stretch and fuse the cheese and potato together to create the dish, and it was just a magical crispy first bite filed with tender short rib. i could've ordered only this as a meal they gave us chocolates for our anniversary! so kind

Short Review- Extremely overpriced, this place is not for people who are looking for the best food from a steakhouse in vegas even though they charge like it. This place is good if you are trying to impress someone with ambiance and luxurious levels of service, perhaps a date night or something like that. Longer Review Ambiance- This is where this place shines. We sat out on the patio as it was a gorgeous evening, the vibes were immaculate and the scenery pulls you out of vegas with the lake, greenery and waterfall with the show. Truly unrivaled in this department. Service- The service was top notch, the waiting staff definitely go above and beyond. Our drinks were never empty, someone was never too far when we needed something, our orders were taken promptly, it does seem like they actually care about you enjoying your time here. There are plenty of little high end touches as well, for example they bring tiny chairs over for your bags. Food- We ordered, a ribeye (medium-rare picture attached), the rosemary chicken, and the salmon, with the Brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin. The chicken and salmon my party says were fine however I did not get a chance to try them. I ordered the ribeye and it too was just fine. It was about as ordinary of a steak as you can think of, the cook was just barely acceptable, it had pretty large grey banding. They said something about the light on the patio would make it look overcooked, which was accurate, shining a phone flashlight on it reveals the cook not how it appears on the plate. The steak was just extremely bland, no salt or seasoning, would be what I would expect from an outback steakhouse or similar, not a steak that costs over $100. They give you three sauces for the steak, which were okay, I do not think a good steak needs any help, this steak though does benefit from those slightly as it definitely did need some help. The sides were also just fine, being fairly unimpressive and bland. The food just feels like they are playing it as safe as possible. The main problem with the food comes when you factor in its price, you are paying upper echelon pricing, for what I would consider to be average or slightly below average food especially for a steakhouse. Here you are mainly paying for the experience around the food. We did not go because I was looking for ambiance or service, I was recommended this place because of their food and I wanted an excellent steak. We are foodies and have tried a good percentage of the steakhouses in vegas over the years, this place unfortunately doesn't come close to being in the conversation for the best as far as the food is concerned, it may be the best in experience though.

How is this place only rated 4.1 stars on Yelp? We have dined at SW several times over the years, from intimate anniversary dinners to a family Thanksgiving meal. Every visit the service, ambience, wine and cocktails, and most importantly the food have all been on point. I have zero critiques for SW. Please keep doing exactly what you have been doing, it is a perfect equation. Let's start with the appetizers. The Grilled Spanish Octopus was one of the best versions I have had outside of Barcelona itself. I also highly recommend the Crispy Lobster Zucchini Blossoms. Both are must-order dishes. If you love steak, get the bone-in ribeye. It is my ideal steak cut, with great marbling and fat content and the bone for extra flavor. You simply cannot go wrong, and their execution is perfection. My medium rare came out exactly right. The sides are just as strong. The SW fries were honestly the best french fries I have ever had. The creamed spinach is classic and very well done. SW remains one of my favorite steakhouses in Vegas and is an easy recommendation for any special occasion or memorable meal.

This was by far the best steak I have had in my life. I walked in and sat at the bar. I saw the ribeye, it was huge (20+ oz boneless) and I wasn't hungry... but I thought to myself why the hell not? I'll just eat half and have leftovers. I could not stop eating until I finished the whole thing. It was very well seasoned, and had a beautiful crust. It was an explosion of flavors. I can't wait to go back to Las Vegas and eat it again

SW steakhouse was a really cool experience. The most notable, and perhaps most popular, aspect of this restaurant is the lake of dreams show that plays every 30 minutes during dinner. The show uses a combination of lights, holograms, and animatronics which are choreographed to different songs throughout the night. The service was friendly but they were definitely more attentive to certain tables. Likely a little profiling going on to try and maximize tips. Food was good but not amazing. As you would expect, the prices are on the higher side for what you get but this is to be expected when dining at an upscale restaurant on the strip and was comparable to most other restaurants of the same level here. Overall good experience but not sure I'd go back. Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Total: 3.75/5

Do they still serve the Marshmello DJ cake where its toasted tableside?

    How do I eat?

In this restaurant, you eat by using a knife and fork while sitting at a table. Very traditional approach to how you eat when at a restaurant.

Can you still bring your own wine for a corkage fee?

Yes, you can. My husband and I were there recently and did this with friends over a special bottle we brought. I do not know the corkage fee.

Does this place allow children under 5 for private group dining? (I ask here because no one answers my calls or emails)

I think Wynn hotel does not allow children under 5 in any fine dining establishment, including SW. I do not think private dining matters as I was told the same rule when I was inquiring a reception dinner for my wedding at SW or Mizumi. Children… Read more

I'm traveling alone, do they accept walk-ins?

Yes if you go early like at 5:00 pm. The bar has open seating for 6 or 8 I think.

Are kids allowed to dine in?

Yes! I saw some families dining while I was there (kids around 8-10years old). Although, I'm not sure if they have special accommodations for children.

I made reservations one month in advance prior to me coming to Las Vegas , will I be guaranteed an outdoor seating, as I requested in early June on my reservation?

You would want to call the restaurant as I don't believe they typically guarantee outdoor seating unless you have some pull or status.

Do they allow you to choose your steak?

No it's not that kind of restaurant but you may choose your cut and grade all the way up to $75. per ounce Japanese Wagyu Kobe.

Is the patio open during the winter months? If so, is it heated well?

    Yes on both count

Can I wear opened toes high heels?

Absolutely yes!!! You can get as dressy as you want. Pre-COVID, men had to wear dress slacks. Now, they allow everything from jeans to fancy :) have fun!

Is there valet parking if you're dining at the steakhouse?

There is Valet at the Wynn where the restaurant is at.

Do they do anything special if you note on the reservation that you are celebrating a birthday or do you need to call and make a special request? I've been reading mixed reviews...

They brought a small dessert out with a candle. It was unexpected and we had an amazing experience.

Can you sit on the terrace if you have a 10pm dinner reservation?

Hello Alexis, patio seating is based upon availability. You may put in a request for patio seating upon checking in for your reservation. Thank you.

Hello Michael, we allow guests to bring in wine to our restaurants only if we do not offer that bottle on our wine list. The corkage fee is $50 per 750ml bottle and $100 per magnum bottle. Maximum 2 bottles. Thank you.

Do they serve any creek stone farms steaks?

Hello Matt, We now serve Santa Carota Farm Steaks out of Bakersfield. Thank you for your inquiry and we hope to welcome you soon.

The Las Vegas Smith & Wollensky is located in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes and is a great looking facility - definitely a classic steakhouse vibe but in a contemporary setting. We had two appetizers, the Angry Shrimp and Confit Bacon and they were excellent. The star of the evening, though, was the Swinging Tomahawk Rib Eye which qualifies as dinner and a show. The service was everything you could want from an elite steakhouse, especially the presentation on the Swinging Tomahawk. The Waygu Tomahawk is a magnificent steak which I think is a steak lover's must-have experience, with the caveat being that it's huge. It was soooo good. Last came a chocolate cake with freshly whipped cream which was delicious! Love this place!!!

The puree that came with the wagyu filet mignon was amazing. The bread was meh. I wouldn't order that again if I came back. The steak tartare had a bitter/vinegary taste to it. It was my first time having tartare so I'm not sure if that's normal or not. It also came with bone marrow which really elevated the dish. Our server Todd was very friendly and attentive. Perfect service from him. Downstairs has more of a casual vibe. Upstairs is slightly more intimate and you can have a view of the canal.

Both were very good and the sandwich came with slightly spicy tots. It was the perfect amount of food and the bar seating was comfortable. We've been here a few times but haven't been back in too many years. That'll change now and we'll be back sooner. Glad to see that this place is still here since so many other restaurants we visited once are now gone.

It is a Wed night at 8:30pm and it had several tables full but we were still able to be seated right away. The place is hard to find so heads up! Look up pictures of the outside so you don't walk past it! It's a beautiful, cozy spot with an upscale feel and vibe. The playlist is amazing! Whomever curated this has incredible & varied music taste and it all works together! 90's R&B, Alternative, Grunge Rock, all of it so good! The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!
