Neither he nor the other staff said anything to get me to finish up and let them get on with their side work and closing duties. The vegan french toast and home fries was good. The tofu scramble was horrible. Unfortunately they don't know how to do a proper tofu scramble. Very disappointing. It's supposed to look like scrambled egg this the name tofu scramble. It's not supposed to be just chopped tofu sautéed with vegetables. Aside from that, the multigrain toast is additional $3 and if u sub the home fries with fruit cup, u will be charged $1.50. I think all of these additional fees should be disclosed! I took my mom here got mother's day this year. It was obviously going to be a long wait so I used the NoWait app and ended up needing to wait an additional 40 minutes for a table but we walked to a coffee shop to finish out the wait. I've been here before and I love the food and drinks. The presentation is always good, I've never had a bad waiter, and I leave satisfied. The reason I can't give a better star rating is because of the way we got our table. A friend recommended that I take my mom anywhere other than Toast for Mother's Day because from her experience, when they're really busy the service is rude and lacking, but I was set on where I wanted to take her. I had been pleased with their service in the past. When we were lead to our table we watched them clear it off, set it up, and before we could sit down; the manager took it and gave it to a family already seated at the table right next to the hostess stand which is arguably the worst table. Then the staff had to apologize for him and make us wait additional time to clean off the other family's table to put us there only to have that other family leave 10 minutes later. The Mama Lily's I had was ok but the potatoes were kind of raw and the tortillas were just placed below them-cold and not crispy like I imagined (bc the other Toast in Bayshore makes them that way). We have come here before and the food is great. My daughter loves it here and wanted to have a 20 person birthday gathering for her 18th birthday here on a busy Sunday and we are so glad she did. From the minute we got there and throughout---the service was exemplary...just well above and beyond. Too notch. The food -- my goodness...everything was fresh, delicious, and I got thanked and raves on how much the young adults liked it. Amazing. Admittedly I was nervous when I got there as the place was packed. But honestly they clearly know what they're doing (inside the kitchen and out ...the greeter and wait staff and managers) because it was such a pleasant and delicious experience and I felt attended to throughout. Through yelp you can hop on the waiting list and take a walk around outside till your tables ready. We wait about an hour. The second jaw dropping thing about toast...the menu! Popular brunch spot. My girlfriend and I came here for brunch after disc golfing at Heckscher Park. I started off with a glass of blue point's toasted lager. All of their beers are served by the bottle. We put in our food orders and I decided to try one of their novelty coffee blends. I don't remember the exact name but I think the blend had Vermont and syrup in name. I'm not an avid coffee drinker but I enjoyed the cup. For food, I ordered a soup and salad combo. The soup of the day was tomato soup. For salad, I opted for the house salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Both were good. The ingredients for the salad were definitely fresh. But my main issue is that the food is never HOT at the Patchogue location. Came here for the second time this year and ordered the crispy Nutella french toast. Loved it but again not HOT just LUKEWARM. Also, ordered a hot chocolate and that was LUKEWARM. It's definitely disappointing when you have good food but as soon as you get it on your table you want to send it back to be reheated. Also, the lines are always INSANE at this location. Time for a roast! The wait for this place is absurd. Anywhere from one to two hours. You can add yourself in the waitlist which works a lot better. So our server finally came. No name, no smile. I asked for a Diet Coke no ice. My gf for a hazelnut coffee. Then we ordered. I ordered The haberdashers delight. Two biscuits, sausage gravy, and POACHED eggs, side of homefries. The lady ordered Nutella French toast then a side of home fries and turkey bacon. The thing that sticks out here is that there are food runners and bus people which means the servers should have more time to have contact w their tables. Our food was dropped by a runner. The drinks finally came. Wrong. Our server was nowhere to check if our food came out correctly. We were still missing turkey bacon, and my eggs were not poached lol. About ten mins after our food was dropped our server finally showed up and i asked if the side of turkey bacon was put in. We were told it should of. When the "turkey" bacon came out it was a few pieces of flash heated HAM. So we finished. Asked for our check. And never got a goodbye or thank you. We got a here you go and she walked away. The manager i assume who was walking around never stopped at any tables to interact w patrons. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My only complaint is that after we finished eating it got busy and the waiters kept coming by taking things off our table that we were still using. There is a very big area to wait w plenty of seating so the wait isn't all that bad. Use of the "wait-list" app through Yelp was great and definitely let you know how many people are before you. Even though it was pretty busy, we were seated immediately outside in the back and we got our food just as quickly. I got the Huevos Miya's Omelet and it was so simple but sooooo good. Had breakfast at new Port Jefferson Station location. Location is vastly better than original locale, spacious and laid out well. Hostess was great, we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. We waited a bit, perhaps a tad short staffed, but once our waiter took our order, service went relatively smoothly save my cappuccino being spilt on me and the table, ^%#} happens. Portions are generous and tasty, grand kids both got pancakes, neither finished, not surprising. My omelet was good, my cappuccino could have been hotter, my personal preference. One comment from grand kids regarding pancakes selection, where is Pistachio pancakes? All in all, it's the same Toast we have grown to like, recommend although, $65 less tip may be on the steep side for some. read more

This is the spot to come for brunch on a weekend in Patchogue. The line was out the door at 1 pm on a Saturday which is a great sign. At first we were told that the wait would be a half hour but after ten minutes, we were offered a seat at the bar. I love sitting at the bar so we gladly didn't mind that we were not at a table as we were very hungry. I also I like that they have a texting service so if you don't hear your name or want to step out for a bit, you'll be notified and won't miss your spot. Since this is such a popular spot, the service can be slower. However, the staff manages the volume very well. Definitely order something to drink because of the wait. I ordered the mango smoothie and it was very sweet but we warmed up to it. I liked that it was green tea based and not dairy based. The Shady Orchard omelet was fabulous. I very often find omelets to be bland and unimaginative. This one was delicious, packed with honey ham, apple, and goat cheese. This was one of the best omelets I've ever had. The spiced potatoes that come with it are a nice change and I would order a side of that on it's own. The toast that came with it was very good and I love restaurants that butter it already. The stand out of this meal was the Creme Brûlée French Toast off of the special menu. This French Toast does the name of the restaurant justice. It was topped and filled with strawberries and icing. The toast is thick and soft on the inside. It was divine and I'm still thinking about it. I can't wait to try the special Gingerbread Pancakes and all of the other pancake and French toast options. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit. This meal made us very happy and sleepy and we were full and glowing for the rest of the day. read more
