a cup of tea and a pineapple
    Vanessa W.

Interesting experience. The guy who helped us was very nice and informative. Taught us a bit about kava and other teas/drinks they offer. My husband I both ordered a double shot of the mild kava then one additional shot of the stronger kava called stone. Very different taste. Earthy, muddy and should probably be drank in 3-4 sips. Comes with a slice of pineapple which helps. We did feel the slight mouth tingling but little of the calming/euphoric effect. I'd be willing to try it again but only when we have some extra cash. We paid about $40 for the 3 shots each of kava tea. Which is the amount you see in my photo below along with another half cup which had the one shot. Atmosphere super laid back and great music playing. Different than they typical annoying Patchogue bar scene which alone will bring me back to Island Kava.

I can't believe I've never heard of this place before. It was so good. I ordered a special iced tea drink with CBD lemonade and white peach tea (pictured) and my girlfriend got a specialty drink with CBD lemonade and lavender tea. Will definitely be going back!

Seeing as her birthday is next month, we wanted to go ahead and try to go to a tea house and see if she enjoys it enough to invite a few friends to our home next month and replicate the event.. now it is on the pricey side, but we thought it would be a special day just for three of us. We not only called for reservations, but then arrived early and although we were sat, we did not get any fresh brewed tea. we got hot water and no authenticity at all bagged tea not loose and if she tells you she had loose teeth, then the waitress was at fault, but I don't wanna blame the waitress either like she has so-called reviews that she answer she blames it on someone else whether it's the waitresses and there was a prefix menu, but she didn't have time where she's really busy or somebody had the flu or they're lying or a wall review. I am not that person I have been using yelp since it began. I am a top contributor and I have to say this was a very bad experience and I will not blame it on a single person except the manager and the staff themselves who were not doing anything in the back as we were watching like all the other if you said it takes forever it is a bad luck and they don't come back to the table and serve properly. They don't have time to even say hello and really get to the table in a timely manner. At that point, we got a small salad with no silverware and no cream and sugar so basically we were waiting for our beautiful two/three tiered high tea that was a prefix menu "supposedly??" But after 45 minutes and absolutely no one coming around and still no silverware cream or sugar we had to ask for three times including the owner and we still had nothing else. It was nearly 4 PM and my little girl was starving as was my husband who would've rather been anywhere at that point After the third go round we decided to leave! I'm diabetic and this was crazy! In my almost 46 years. I have never left a restaurant. I hope that you all have a better experience than we did...next time go to a diner! Don't waste nearly $60 pp something. You can buy at Sam's Club and serve yourself if it ever shows up! Angry is not even the word! Prefix my foot! ***Update: I saw what you decided to respond and like I said you are your own worst enemy because I have NO responsibility to tell you anything about being diabetic if I have to wait an hour for a $60 plate of food that you never served me what do I have to pay for? I don't believe that the world is built on you do nothing then I have to pay you for something? Wtf? I saw the other post you blame everybody by yourself. You blame when you're busy you blame it on Valentine's Day. You blame it on your waitress is having the flu. You blame it on everybody by yourself and as far as I'm concerned from sitting there and watching you for an entire hour go back-and-forth and do absolutely nothing. It's your fault nobody else's don't tagline my editorial because you think you wanna be right that doesn't work! I can go home and get hot water. Thank you very much for nothing. You are not only a nasty woman, but you also show a very sincere lack of understanding when it comes to how to run a business not only is it not my job to tell you I'm diabetic it's not my job to take my autistic daughter and have her wait over an hour for food. I don't care how many people you have. All those things are just excuses and as far as I was told when I grow up, it's about results not excuses!!!! SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR RESTAURANT WILL REPOST ALL OVER!!!!

I'm one of their original customers from when they first opened several years ago. The original…read moreowner was awesome, hired cool people, they had a great variety of CBD flower, as well as non-smokeable goods. As for the past couple of years-can't say the same. Their prices have gone waaay up for flower and gummies. They lack variety in "medicated" snacks and drinks, yet keep expired ones on the shelf long past their due date. I pointed this out to one of the girls behind the counter and she responded "it's not open, so it's fine". This product was a homemade chocolate bar without preservatives-no it's not "fine"! They've changed the minimum purchase prices for both the stamp card and the spinning wheel. The stamp used be $30 but now it's $50, and the wheel used to be around $100, but now it's $200. My final problem with this place is the security guard. There's one guy who mans the door who abuses his authority. The last few times I've come in to see what I want to buy he sets a timer saying it's for 15 minutes for both "searching and purchasing". Every time he's done this is barked orders "you can't stand there kid!", "you gotta keep moving!", "stop touching and reading every product!" when all I've done is smell the samples, read the labels (because I have dietary restrictions, which I've explained to him many times!) and asking the girls behind the counter for a price when their isn't one on a package. He goes between "you have 5 searching minutes left and 2 purchasing minutes left", and "you have 10 minutes before I throw you out and call the cops!" during the same visit. I only spend 10 minutes here, there's no need to time me, especially since he doesn't time anyone else. Male version of a Karen! Mister Karen earlier today gave me an attitude as soon as I walked in to pick up my membership ID. Refused to give it to me because my NYS ID has expired. If that's the actual protocol, then that's fine, but I still expect to be treated professionally, not with passive aggressive eye rolls and having my answer being scoffed at! I don't recommend this place! Their location in Port Jeff is much nicer, has more variety, has better prices, and the guard at the door knows how to treat customers with respect.

From the moment we began planning, their team was responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. Our guests were immediately impressed walking in. The food was outstanding across the board. Everything came out fresh, well-timed, and consistently delicious. We received multiple compliments throughout the night, which speaks volumes. What really set Gallo apart, though, was the service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, proactive, and incredibly professional. They handled every detail seamlessly, allowing us to focus on our guests and enjoy the event. I had a visitor in from Oklahoma and thought he would enjoy the food. We were a party of 5. I was literally surprised by the quality of the food and really disappointed. We ordered Nachos as a appetizer and when it came it looked empty. No seasoning on the chicken barely any cheese or salsa on them. ( picture included) one person ordered a quesadilla with shrimp. It was very flat and she opened it and the shrimp was squashed into a ball, barely any cheese and she sent it back before I had a chance to take a picture. They took it off the bill. We ordered a medium skirt steak that was supposed to be marinated but it wasn't and looked so unappealing but he ate it anyway. I ordered the tropical plater which is a favorite of mine. The steak was disgusting( picture attached) The only dish that came out ok was the steak fajitas. We also had 4 cocktails. Our waitress was really nice and did her best. I truly hope this is a fluke but felt the owner of this business should be aware. I never minded the cost of the food because you knew the food would be delicious. This time we paid $178.35 for a horrible experience at Gallo's in Patchogue, NY
