Instead, the text we received was a pre-approval link meant to inform us of the potential cost following a diagnostic. Unfortunately, this wasn't clearly communicated during my original call with Lou. If he had mentioned that we'd receive a text requiring approval before any work could be done--and that payment would only be due after the diagnostic--I would not have left a one-star review. From a customer's perspective, receiving a $200+ link without prior explanation understandably creates the impression that payment is required in advance. This was a clear miscommunication, and I'm willing to chalk it up as such. That said, I strongly recommend the business makes this process more transparent in future calls. BEWARE -- GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE SPENDING A DIME HERE…read more I came to Firestone for an alignment that I had ALREADY PAID FOR through their lifetime alignment program. I also specifically requested a comprehensive inspection of my vehicle because I wanted to know if there were any legitimate issues that needed to be addressed. I wanted everything checked upfront--not to have unexpected problems "discovered" after the fact. Instead, I was told that my vehicle supposedly needed nearly $4,000 worth of suspension work before they would perform the alignment. I was obviously concerned, so I took the car to the independently owned mechanic I trust and had them inspect the vehicle and specifically check everything Firestone said needed to be replaced. Their response was essentially: Absolutely not. They found none of the suspension problems Firestone claimed were present and told me the $4,000 worth of work was not necessary. Let that sink in: I specifically asked Firestone for a comprehensive inspection, was told I needed THOUSANDS of dollars in suspension repairs, and then an independent mechanic inspected the same vehicle and said those repairs were not needed. And on top of that, Firestone refused to perform the alignment that I had already paid for unless I agreed to the additional suspension work. I am FURIOUS. I don't mind paying for legitimate repairs. If my car actually needed $4,000 worth of suspension work, I would have dealt with it. What I absolutely will not do is hand over thousands of dollars for repairs that another qualified mechanic says my vehicle does not need. I will never bring my car back to this location. If you're told you need expensive repairs here, GET A SECOND OPINION before authorizing anything. Though it was not in stock, the manager offered to order the tire with an estimated delivery of that afternoon. Additionally, all of the other vendors either wanted phone payments with a next-day delivery date or did not offer to place an order. Since I came here two days prior for a tire repair but did not stay because they were extremely busy, I almost didn't return. Ironically, they were the only location that could assist. Because of the state of the tire, time was of the essence and they delivered. The tire was ordered around 10:00 am. By 11:30 am, the manager informed me that the tire was available and that I could come in before 5:00 pm. When I arrived a little before noon, I was assisted immediately. No projected completion time was presented. However, within less than an hour, the tire was replaced and I was out the door. I was pleased with this visit. Everything about it was efficient from the phone call to completion. River Hill Sunoco got my car running better than it has in over a year, and I finally feel safe on the road again. One thing to note is that I did pay $170 to evaluate what was going on with my check engine light, which seemed a little high but I don't have much locally to compare it to so it's hard to say if that's unusual. Just something to be aware of if you want to bring your car in for that, I guess. Anyway, between the good customer service and the proximity to my house, I am sure I will be a long term customer.

When I explained that a lifetime warranty on the part and service should cover the inspection to verify the failure, she refused to discuss the matter. Instead of talking professionally, she yelled "Excuse me!", walked away, and ordered us to leave the shop while refusing to address our other repair needs.We have been customers here in the past, but the complete lack of professionalism and the outright refusal to honor their own written warranty is unacceptable.
