I can't recall the last time I had to write a bad review, but if I could give zero stars, I would. I was provided a window and the driver showed up two hours past the window. I waited and missed a day of meetings and my plane. After an hour, I contacted the driver and provided my location multiple times, even a map of where I was located. Despite being in close proximity, he appeared completely confused. Rather than apologize, the dispatcher called me a chewed me out. It was shocking. read more

Pathetic! insurance sent request at 3:40ish PM. it went from 40 min wait, to 73 min, then 2.5 hrs layer they told us to be ready in 30 min... then called again to say driv is behind and would be there in another 20 min. Our car broke down on the highway and the insane call attendant strung us along for over two hours claiming they were on the way only to cancel when we called to ask why they weren't there yet. The most rude, unprofessional lady I have ever dealt with in a customer service position. She hung up on me leaving me with no way to know that she even cancelled the tow. My car's serpentine belt went and I ended up in a shopping center in Columbia. I live in Laurel. Called several places before finding K&R. Now, this may not be the case in very situation, but K&R arrived within 15 minutes of my call. Ed was the driver that towed me. He was friendly and professional. Again, response time is on the availability of the drivers but was towed and home in 20-25 minutes. Ed worked with me to get my car placed in the parking spot I wanted. Highly recommend. The driver "forgot" to leave my key with the shop where he towed my car. He said he couldn't go back to drop it off bc he had another call to go to and then left the key with my son who doesn't drive. My car completely stopped and wouldn't drive, so I called my insurance company for roadside assistance, they hooked me up with this company and I have zero complaints, the driver had a bit of trouble locating me (no fault of his own) progressive dispatched him to a location just a past where I was, which was no issue, I gave their company a call and their dispatcher put me through to their driver who was nothing, but kind every step of the way, He got me all set up and we drove to my drop off location, where he handled everything with care, even helped me gather a few items from my vehicle before I left it at the location. All and all outstanding service !! I greatly appreciated Mr. Lewis and all of his help. read more

I sincerely wish I could give negative stars to this company. My truck was towed there and sat in their lot for a week. Then my truck was towed and dropped at a collision center to begin repairs. The collision center called me that day asking where the keys were. I said that I left them in the cup holder. No keys were in my truck. We quickly realized that there were many other things missing that mysteriously disappeared before my truck was dropped at the collision center, including my EZ pass. And whomever took it, was dumb enough to use it while my truck is in the shop! I called K&R multiple times and got the runaround every time I called. As another reviewer said, no one really enjoys a tow company. It means there's something wrong. I've dealt with this company twice in less than a month when my car wouldn't start, light up, or even unlock, even after the issue was supposedly fixed the first time. My insurance company's roadside assistance service called for the tow and K&R arrived within the 90-minute timeframe both times. The second time, I rode with the driver to the dealership and he was really personable and friendly. He sympathized with my situation since he was the one who towed my car the first time when it got "repaired" by the dealership. Overall, I'm happy with their service. I didn't have to wait too long for a tow and the driver was friendly. Different story for the dealership, but that's for another review. read more

Waited for four hours for tow truck. Received an ETA stating driver will arrive in 90 minutes. After forty-five minutes I saw a strange number on my caller ID (no indication that it was tow driver) I did not answer the call. It was the tow driver and to be fair he called two times. Within minutes I figured out it was the tow company and immediately called the company and spoke with the dispatcher. After explaining the situation to her, she informed me that the driver was dispatched to the next job. All of this occurred within fifteen minutes. I expressed my disappointment and was told it was my fault for not answering the telephone. She told me request was deleted and to call my insurance company and re-schedule. She succeeded in making a bad situation worse....I have never encountered such rude behavior from a frontline employee representative. read more

I was really worried because all of my lugnuts broke off my rear tire. My wheel was literally holding on by 1 bolt! Robinson(I believe that was his name) was very professional and extremely calm. I'm not a customer but saw one of K&R tow trucks outside my house to tow the car of my neighbor's guest. I knew something was wrong as the truck had its hood open and driver was scratching his head about something. Then the operator tried to lower the flat bed and then hydraulic oil started gushing out from underneath the flat bed all over the street. It seems the driver panicked and frantically left the mess behind. Very unprofessional. I called the number on the side of the truck to tell them they need to properly clean up the spill. The dispatcher denied it and said he didn't know what I was talking about and hung up. The oil puddle is spreading now covering the entire width of the street and flowing along the curb and will ultimately end up in the storm runoff polluting nearby streams. I sent all my photos to our community HOA, who will report it to Howard County and hopefully the EPA. It is really simple, if you make a mess, clean it up. read more

Wednesday night I had an accident on 95 Northbound. The normal people were called and the state police called for a towing service for me. K&r showed up within a matter of minutes and asked me to sit in the front of their car while they took care of everything. The gentleman checked to make sure that I was okay and drove me to a destination that was safe for me. I have roadside assistance for my car but had chosen to let the state police take care of getting me transportation. I've never had a towing silver show up so quickly and be so caring and efficient. I got my car towed from these guys a couple months ago. Stephen was the name of the driver. He was generally unpleasant to deal with the entire time, not the biggest deal in the world though; I'm not asking to get wined-and-dined by my tow truck driver. The real kicker was after he dropped my car off at the dealership, he stole my entire change jar out from the center console and a wallet that that keep business cards in (I imagine he figured there would be money in it). I assume this disgusting mouth-breathing troll will eventually will get what he deserves, but in the meantime, id go with another towing company. read more
