I scheduled Tuff N Speedy Movers and was given a 530-6pm window. I received a call from Tammy around 6p notifying me that her crew was running behind and that they were either going to be late or not show at all. She emphasized how she was being decent that she even bothered calling to notify me (she knew of a previous instance where I had a different moving company bail on me last minute). I asked if she would at least confirm if they would make it which she did. They were now confirmed to arrive at 7p. After 7p, and several failed calls to Tammy's cell phone (she sent me straight to vm most times), I finally decided to pack everything back up - yeah, I moved it all to the driveway to make the move more efficient - and headed home. On Tuesday I booked the movers for today (Saturday) last night (Friday) they called me about 9:30 pm stating one of their trucks needed inspection and all of their other trucks were booked and they could possibly do the job on Sunday or next weekend. The lady stated she called because they don't like to leave ppl hangin (rolls eyes).....if u book them have a back up plan they put me a terrible position and apparently this happens all the time. read more

Disappointed ... Miriam canceled due to mechanical problems. It didn't seem plausible given the fact they cancelled five days before we were scheduled and other reviews saying the same thing "mechanical problems". Not sure why they couldn't make arrangements to use another truck; they had five days to do so. read more

Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I wish I had seen these reviews beforehand. The movers were fine (although they did break one lamp and said nothing about it), but they showed up 45min later than they were supposed to and when I asked Tammi about it, she said her "assistant" told them the wrong time. I asked about a discount for the inconvenience. She said she'd speak with the owner. I never heard anything back. Then when the movers told me my total, it was wrong (only a $10 difference, but I'm not paying extra when I was already inconvenienced). I called Tammi and she first said we're not gonna argue over $10. Then she did the (simple) math and realized she was wrong and blamed her "assistant", again. Very unprofessional. I'm all about supporting black-owned businesses. But you come across wrong, I'm never coming back. The lower price is what made me use them. You definitely get what you paid for. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! According to one of her employees, she is not even insured!!!Though the movers were fairly quick and efficient, one of the guys stole my Apple Watch during the move. They were left unattended in my bedroom to allow space for them to move my furniture (my watch was on the night stand...my mistake). For reference, I moved from Dallas, Ga to Acworth, Ga. About an hour after they left my move, I decided to ping my watch bc I thought I misplaced it. My watch showed up in Stone Mountain, Ga (nowhere even close to either location). I called the owner, Tammy and told her what happened and she asked me how could I prove it. I told her I have an address via Find My iphone app and she should check her employees's address to match it up. She told me she would speak with them and call me back. It's been almost 24 hours with no word back and every time I call her (which has been approx 4-5 times today), she sends my calls to voicemail...clearly avoiding me. I have already files a police report and will be filing a suit if necessary. read more

I call this company and they were nice Tammy was very nice on the phone however she did not remember when I call the second time to confirm the time and which we were supposed to be moved she said that she did not remember me when I clearly remember her voice and know that it was her that I was speaking to when I first booked this company then on the day that we were supposed to move we were supposed to move at 1:30 and we were told that somebody will be there at 3:30 and then not contacted by Tammy again until 5:30 on a Saturday that they were not able to move them out first I got a call from the driver saying that he was 45 minutes away Tammy says that the driver came here to our house and said it was a big move and could not do it cuz he had to leave when I spoke to Tammy again she told me that the driver had came and spoke to me and saw that it was a big move I informed her that no driver came here and saw anything that has to do with that moves she told me that she was going to call some other people's to see if she can get us move today otherwise her guys couldn't move her us today she told me she was going to call me back in 10 minutes and did not call me back I then called back and the phone went straight to voicemail I called from another phone and she picked up the phone that is Tammy immediately and said that you would call me in 30 minutes when she did not call me in 30 minutes I called again and both phone number went to voicemail which tells me that Tammy was avoiding my calls I am very upset because this was planned for weeks and she had weeks to get everything together with her workers this country was very unprofessional and Tammy is a liar read more

Really wish I had read the reviews before contacted them for a last minute move. First off what should have been a simple 2 hour move turned into a 3 hour move because the movers spent most of their time talking on their cellphone instead of loading the truck and doing the move. Then Tammy was the most unprofessional person I ever dealt with because it was a last minute move you couldn't provide a contract but wanted to hold me terms of a contract? Just had an experience with this company. Had an appointment for 2:00pm today 4/10/2016, but they showed up at 3:17pm. It took them until 5:55pm to move 4 yes 4 items! The company bills a minimum of 2 hours and I was questioned buy the owner / manager, if I wanted to try another company because I had so few items to move and they have a two hour minimum. Unfortunately, without reviewing the company online, I decided to go with them. The movers arrived, one small framed 24 year old, and his 16 year old nephew. The 24 year old has only been with the company for one week, and the 16 year old was just helping hIS uncle out for the day, as the other people the manager "hired" didn't bother showing up for work. Long story slightly shorter, 2 of the 4 items were to go upstairs, but they couldn't manage, so that didn't happen, they scrapped and scoured holes into the leather on the front of my massage chair, and they left rub marks, grooves, and grim on my walls. Poor guys were as nice as can be, but clearly unqualified. In the end, I was billed for 3 hours of "work" to move 4 items 22 miles, and 2 of the items aren't even where I needed them to go. The contract didn't mention paying a portion prior to moving day and being that I deal with contracts everyday I do not believe that a client should be held to terms that are not listed. I was invoiced prior to the day of moving and was given excuses. After looking at reviews further I decided to cancel my scheduled move with this company. Definitely seems like a Mickey Mouse type of operation. They were supposed to show up at 9:30 am to move me. They didn't show up. I called and was told they'd locked the keys out of the truck. Continued to call and was told one lie after another. Then they stopped answering the phone. The movers finally appeared around 3:30 pm and I learned they'd already completed a move prior to mine and had another one scheduled after mine. It's apparent they overbook themselves, lie to you about, and don't mind showing up 6 hours late. The lying was the worst part and I was stressed all day trying to make last-minute alternate arrangements. They got my things from A to B in one piece, but not before running a red light with the truck full of my belongings when I was following them to my new home, causing me to also run the light for fear they were going to steal everything (it was that bad that theft was an actual concern). They also closed up the truck before I could inspect it after the move, and I am missing a couple of ladders. The experience was terrible. Use someone else. read more

Tuff N Speedy movers is not a company that I would recommend to anyone. I was told but Tammy that everything would be wrapped for protection. Nothing was wrapped my $3,000 dollar bedroom furniture was scratched up a dresser draw cracked, and wood broken from the foot board., my treadmill was dropped, and the movers used very ugly profanity and very unprofessional. I have reached out to Tammy several times concerning the damage to my belongings but it seems as if she just don't care. I have no other choice but to seek legal representation. Miriam, Just to recap the move, since no one from your office contacted me back to ask "if everything went ok", "how or if, I was pleased with your service", nothing by way of customer service. However to recap, the gentlemen got lost, they were on a street that I never even mentioned. "Shellbark" sounds nothing like "Quail Run". When it came to the move itself, originally when the driver pulled up, I had to ask him when does his time start. He wanted to start the time during his going out to turn the truck around, which it would seem that he would have been aware once he followed me into the community, that the truck would have to be backed in. While technically I did receive 2 "men" and a truck, it was obvious the younger man was a trainee. Wasting time holding a table that could have been leaned against the wall, when he could have been removing boxes - which is what I began to do, since it appeared to become a "foot-dragging". Since I have moved before, I know that it doesn't take 3 hours to move a one bedroom apartment (no appliances, no headboard, no dresser, no chest of drawers) One queen bed, one dining set, one bar set, 9 chairs, and approximately 18 boxes....took 3 hours??? The driving was even worse, the new destination was apx. 12-15 minutes away. It took from 9AM-10:45 to load up. It took from 11:13 - 12:07 to unload, and that was even with the sofa being stuck for about 10 minutes. So how could it take 3 hours to load and 1 hour to unload, when all boxes were packed, no beds to break down or furnishings to disassemble? (rhetorical) While, I understood my short notice, and your attempts to accommodate that short notice, we both conceded to a next day commitment with a 5% discount, no problem. Toward the end of the move, I received conflicting dollar amounts as a balance, which was eventually resolved. So to be fair, as I do report to different blog sites that request reviews on moving services - this is where I felt Tuff n Speedy failed. The star rating given will be a 2/2.5. It was just not professional for your worker, whose name I didn't even know, to relay communication from a manager to the customer when the manager can speak directly with the customer. I try to support our African American business owner's as much as possible, and will only refer people who can pass the professionalism test, for which there was not even a courtesy call to ensure that everything ended on a good note.. I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes I don't always go strictly by reviews because some people only tend to write reviews when there's a negative experience. I made this known to Miriam at the company when I booked it but also advised that I would give them a glowing review if they took care of us well. At the last minute they canceled indicating that there was an emergency situation with their truck so they would have to do it tomorrow. I don't Buy it after reading the other reviews on here. I canceled the order and let them know that I too would post a negative review to every resource I could find. Broke my stuff, blocked my calls. They write fake reviews on rating sites and their Facebook page. I am a single grad student living away from friends and family. I needed help, and was taken advantage of. This company is a complete scam. PLEASE BEWARE. This company rescheduled my appointment the day of and moved it two hours up, broke several boxes of glass, scraped my leather couch, and packed my storage horribly. I called the company to let them know, TAMMY POUGH told me to email pictures and she would call me in the morning. I tried to call after receiving no call and it turns out she has blocked my calls. Days later sher replied to an email saying that they would come to fix my storage for $50 dollars an hour, after they had already gotten paid to ruined my property and to place my couch on top of all of my boxes and bags so I cant access anything. I strongly suggest not using this company. They were supposed to show up on Saturday at 9:00 am but did not show up til Sunday at 8:30 pm! Unfortunately the company that I hired did not show up on my moving day and I was forced to hurry and find someone else. I stumbled upon this company. I spoke with Tammy who told me her movers could do the move same day. I spoke with her about 10 am and she said they would be there at 3. Well I had my two year old daughter and mother with me at my storage unit and we decided to wait because all of my things were taken out of the storage. When I called at 3:15 she informed me that it would now be 5:30. I had no choice but to wait. At 5:36 she told me it would be 7. I was on my way to drop some things off at my new place because I then realized they too had stood me up. She called to say they were in route so I turned around and went back to my storage. At 8pm the mover called and told me he wasn't coming because his son was sick and had been sick all day. Out of courtesy, when I called and ask for a same day move, the answer should have been no. I wasted a whole entire day at a storage unit with my mom and two year on what had to be the hottest day of the year thus far. Tammy you are a liar and I don't know what kind of blessings you think you receive for being so manipulative. Unless they're from the devil himself.
