Do not ask for anything hand drawn, not even stickers, they'll mess that up too. The base color was perfectly fine, but I asked for hearts, they came out super sloppy, then when I asked her to fix it she suggested the stickers. She applied the stickers with bent corners making my nails super bumpy. The second time i asked her to fix it, she started from scratch but rushed through it and made it worse. read more

My nails ended up very clumpy looking nothing like the picture I showed them. my French tip wasn't even even. Do not recommend this salon. My stylist didn't listen to anything I asked her. She left me with access glue all over my nails. And nail polish flooded my nail beds. There weren't any coffin shaped nail offers either. I asked for square not duck/almond. Definitely will not come back. The girl who did my pedicure tried to pull my pants down on my calves and I was screaming she was hurting me so badly. My nails are uneven and look so bad. I bet I have bruising in a couple days from it. My pedicure was so rushed and my toenails all are different lengths. When i told her my nails weren't dry and one got messed up she told me it was fine and to go. Okay...? So disappointed. read more

Finally a great nail salon at a reasonable price! Arrived 9:30 am while waiting for my car at dealership and of course I got right in! I chose the basic manicure & was only asked once if I wanted a gel manicure- I don't like the up-sell pressure at nail salons & I told her "I don't like gel manicures" No pressure, thankfully. She did great on manicure using bottom coat , two thick polish coats, & ended with top coat then drying time under lamp. All for $12 !! It's best manicure Ive had in years, so this is MY salon now! My bestie & I are going back for a mani/pedi next week . All for $37 , which is hard to beat for the quality I received with mani. The staff is friendly, clean surroundings, quick, efficient quality services, and great rates. read more

I would happily give this Asian owned and operated nail salon five stars but it's decor keeps it at a four. Very nice technicians and the best pedicure ever! Price for a spa pedi is only $35 with a wonderful foot/leg massage. Manicures with are great too. read more

My mani/pedi always looks great, but the service here is so bad I just can't bring myself to go back. I've been 4 times and loved it because they'll do your mani and pedi at the same time, so I can get both done with gel in less than an hour-ish even without an appointment. I love that. BUT they change the price on me every time I go, and they try to upsell and upcharge you for everything - even when getting a spa pedi ($35) they charged an extra $7 for having calluses! I had the same service every time, and every time they argued with me about the price - the first two times were $70 total for gel which is totally reasonable, then the third time they tried to charge me $90(!!!) for the same thing, and the fourth time it was $75, but the woman asked me repeatedly why I couldn't pay with cash, and if I could bring cash next time, and going on about how expensive debit cards were for them so they needed cash. It was so uncomfortable that despite their doing good work I just can't bring myself to return. Customer service means a LOT. read more

Got a gel manicure because they were $25. First time I went they waxed my eyebrows and they were amazing, this time she waxed my arch away now I just have a half moon. Manicure was regular but pai NT doesn't go all the way across my nail and she cut my nails too short and there are spots where you can see through the paint on my French gel manicure. Went in for appt for a deluxe pedicure. This place just has a cloud over it. The people don't look happy to be working there. First problem that happened was the people who sat down before me got a longer pedicure than I did to the point where I was walking out right when they were getting their toes painted. So they had about a 10 minute longer pedicure/massage than I did. Second thing is it looks like a child painted my nails.Nail polish is all over my skin and cuticles were not trimmed well so the polish is on top of the cuticles. Deluxe- I don't think so. I didn't realize they looked bad until I got home since it was a light color. Also when I picked out my polish she suggested a different polish and when I told her I didn't like the other polish she made a face like she was irritated with me. I have been using Star Nails for five years now. Don't judge this book by its cover. The salon may be simple but you will not find a better place. My sister who lives in Kansas has said that I set a new standard after I took her there and she has not been able to find a better place! I have a group of six out of state family that always want to go to Star Nails while they are in town. My recommendation: delux pedi, with extra 15 minute massage, hot wax and a 5 minute shoulder massage at the end. Walk ins are welcome but if you go on the weekend be prepared to have a bit of a wait. Calling first is always best. Its next to a TjMaxx, Sallys and Jasons Deli. Helen does my nails regularly and she is wonderful! Everyone that I have ever used there has done a great job so I certainly wouldn't worry about who I got. read more

I have been going to Star Nails for greater than 10 years now. Tom knows just how to cut my hair and I get lots of compliments on my hair cut. I get gel nails there and they last really good. If something goes wrong with a nail too soon, they will gladly fix it for nothing. I used to get acrylics there for many years, but because of my job I can no longer have the gel nails. The deluxe pedicure with wax and massage just makes one feel just out of this world. They even do an excellent job with waxing. I have gone other places occasionally with my daughters, who were paying, but there is just not that special attention as there is thereat Star. read more
