I've been a customer of this nail salon for over three years, but after a recent visit under new ownership, I was really disappointed. I asked for John specifically but was told he didn't work there, and a technician named Jade did my builder gel nails. Unfortunately, the nails were pretty, along with the design I chose but they were lumpy and the shape was off. These photos are after I asked the manager to fix them (she did some filing to the sides and shaped them well)They were kind enough to give me a call and acknowledge their mistake of telling me that John no longer worked there and that they were sorry I wasn't satisfied with my nails, as well as saying I could get a refund next time I come in. When I returned today, Jade questioned my dissatisfaction, and John redid my builder gel nails. He did great with the shaping and filing, they're so smooth and feel great, but the design still wasn't what I expected. John usually does a great job but this time the design was pretty messy and not what I truly wanted, and I always show a reference picture. They did offer a 50% discount, but given the stress and confusion, I expected a better outcome especially since these nails are important to me because they are for my 21st birthday. My partner and I had a great experience! He said much better communication with the staff here compared to previous experiences, and he felt welcomed and wanted. I prefer a quiet environment and I appreciated not having a conversation to upkeep, but I didn't feel ignored. The receptionist and I assume owner/manager came to both of us multiple times throughout our service, making sure we and the techs alike were doing well. I got Gel-x for the first time, and it was amazing! I went to a salon back home in between this service and writing the review- nothing compares to J'Art. The nails lasted for 3 weeks with the insane amount of growth I had. The design was custom and a mix between the inspiration picture and the tech's personal style. I would like to preface this by saying, these people are very kind and the art turned out lovely on my nails. To start off, I went in with a friend because they messed up her nails and she was getting them fixed. This was Sunday afternoon. I got a fill with art and they charged me $75. The following morning, a nail broke and I noticed 2 other nails were lifting. I didn't do anything that would have damaged my nails in any kind of way. I went in to get it fixed that day. It is now Friday and another nail had popped off from something as simple as opening a drawer. I am not hard on my nails and I have never had a set come off this easily. read more

First of all sorry in advance for the picture of my toe. We came in with a party of 5 and called a week in advance to let them know we were coming (it was a light bachelorette celebration). I ordered the retreat deluxe pedicure with nail polish ($65 USD). Physical experience? It was decent. Not the best nail salon I've been to but the people were nice enough and attentive to our needs. The salon was clean and sleek. Very modern and well put together. Quality of nails - okay. See the picture. My nail tech was (Lucy), I'm not used to someone needing to use a removal tool for each toe - maybe this is what works for this technician. However this resulted in uneven application of polish. Maybe better lighting would help the technicians?? Payment: Some confusion. At the BEGINNING of our appointments, we explained that we wanted to split the brides tab between three of us. I was finished first. The retreat pedicure is $65...The price on the screen was $85 USD (I assumed the $20 was for the brides portion) I tipped 20% - total $96.00. When the bride was done with her pedicure, the same person tried to charge the bride full price, there was a lot of confusion and miscommunication. They were not very accommodating. I'm not sure if it's because of the language barrier. They ended up applying a $15 credit for the brides pedicure. I didn't fully inspect my feet until the end of the night and was disappointed to see that the polish was uneven. ETA - owner responded and stated I was charged $80, not $85. There's a 7 day return policy but I live in OKC and can't make the drive to Edmond. They offered complementary gel services if I could return but I cannot. They tried their best to make it right and I really respect that. read more

First of all, love the space. Space is so so gorgeous, super clean, super new, and all around luxurious. My issue really is with my pedicure, which I'm really not too picky about, but this pedicure got botched. My nails were all different lengths, did not match at all. Filing was pretty rough too, some were kind of angled weird, so that wasn't great either. I brought it up that I thought my toes were all kinds of different length, and the manager was saying it's because my nail beds were all different lengths so she just cut it short according to nail bed length but...when I got home I took everything off and evened it out myself. So not too happy that I paid $37 for something I had to come home and redo myself. Really wanted to love this space more but not sure if I'll be back. read more

Believe the social media hype - J'Art is absolutely beautiful and you will likely walk out very impressed! I got a gel manicure with jelly polish and a thin french tip. Their color selection is great - they have jelly polish, cat eye and a huge selection of solid colors. I was able to pick out exactly what I was envisioning. Jason did a wonderful job, and he was also extremely nice. This salon is on the pricier side, but for the quality I think it's worth it. They also do offer complimentary drinks and have a discounts through a membership program if you want to make this your regular salon. I recommend making an appointment, especially on weekend. I got lucky this time with a walk-in appointment on a weeknight but I had called a few times before for a same-day and they were all booked up. I came in here during on of their grand opening special days. I decided to splurge and get the highest level pedicure that stated it was 2 hours including a neck and shoulder massage. Check in was a breeze and wasn't long before i was called back. The place is very new clean and modern. I got a nail tech named Kim - i loved her! Kim was very kind but the most important part -- she knows how to give a good massage it wasn't barely hands on like sometimes you get and leave disappointed with. She got some knots out in my neck and was great. I never do shellac just regular and i was pleased with the color selection! Only complaint on this was while the pedicure stated it was 2 hours it was hardly that. I'd say 1.5 hour i noticed the time i checked in and checked out definitely not that long. For that reason i wouldn't suggest getting that long of a pedicure because it's about 30 minutes off that. We did have to ask for our drinks twice the girl forgot but that wasn't a big deal at all. Overall i would come back here again because of the very clean facilities and Kim - she was great and my toes still look like i just left getting them done!! read more

Called ahead on a Wednesday afternoon to see if they could a mani/pedi at the same time and how long it would take. They could take me right away, and the owner said it would take about 45 minutes for the polygel mani and classic pedi. She wasn't wrong! I got into the chair just before 4pm, and was checking about by 4:50. The fastest I've EVER been in and out of a salon! I had 2 techs working on my mani and 1 on my pedi, felt like a QUEEN. You can truly tell that the owner takes pride in his business. The whole establishment, including fixtures look amazing, all the way down to the signs in the bathroom. Everything is meticulous and purposeful. I had the pleasure of having the owner take care of my nails and I can honestly say he did amazing. He knows what he's doing and he takes his time. I got a pedicure here and tried to explain to the nail tech that I had a sore big toe. I also have arthritis in my feet due to an injury. I explained that as well. She must not have understood what I was saying because she was rubbing my feet vigorously and was causing me pain. When she started on the big toe, I literally was backing up in the chair from the pain. I said stop and she looked at me like she didn't understand. I feel these techs should have a basic understanding of English so they can communicate with the client. If they don't, they shouldn't be in that position.
