First, and foremost, if you should be so fortunate as to become a valued and loyal client of TLC, as my family and home have, then you've truly discovered an incredible company to entrust your complete comfort in. "Sergio" has visited our SFe abode, twice, this month, and has accomplished very efficiently and effectively in resolving any/all of our concerns. He is an excellent technician, employee, and advocate of TLC's. Plus, he's sincerely friendly, with many a smile to share. Thank you, everyone on the TLC Team! You've really earned our confidence, commitment, and a customer, for life... read more

There's a $150 charge to come visit which will be applied to your bill. They needed to put die in the air conditioner to find the leak. They didn't bring the die so there's no charge this visit, just the $150. The plan is to go back and get the die and charge another $150 for that visit. In my day we would have hung these people. Next they planned to charge $12,000 for a $6,000 airconditioner. read more

They've helped me out on two separate emergency needs when I struggled to find anyone else that could come help in a timely manner. I've utilized both their plumbing and AC repair services and they were both excellent. Dependable and timely service is why they will be on the top of my list of companies to call when I need help with AC and plumbing needs. I'm going to try their electrical services soon as well. read more

Casey handled my issue quickly and professionally. He is knowledgeable and I would request him again for future work. Tanya was a great dispatcher who directed the call quickly and effectively. Much thanks to them both. read more

Three strikes...you are out. Earlier this year, TLC came out to reinstall 3 sinks after countertop installations in my kitchen and two baths. They quoted me approximately $165/hr. for labor on the phone. On the day of the work, two men showed up and said that since there were two of them it would now be $100 more per hour than originally quoted. The good news, they said, was that they would be done twice as fast. I didn't have much of a choice since I had no working sinks. It ended up taking them over 4 hours to complete the work, with one man just standing around watching the other. Naturally, I was outraged with both the last-minute change, the amount of time the job took, and the bill of $1200. To their credit, TLC did refund $300+. Around the same time, I had TLC come out to replace an electrical outlet in my kitchen. While looking in the electrical box, Robert told me that my box was out of code. My breakers were 25 years old and they should be replaced every 25 years. Foolishly, worrying about safety and fire potential, I agreed to have TLC update and upgrade my box to the tune of $4500. I did this without first doing my own due diligence. After the work was done, Robert and the electrician who actually performed the job apologized to me because they saw a broken panel in the box. Robert had not seen it prior to performing the upgrade. I was told this after the work was already completed without the panel being replaced. To fix that problem, it would require a lot of additional work to satisfy code requirements. The additional work was originally quoted at $9000, but eventually Robert came down to $7000. Go figure. Feeling that I had been misled by TLC, I asked Robert a couple of times for a written estimate that included the reason for and the scope of the additional work. Since, I had already paid $4500 + tax for a job that apparently now did not satisfy code requirements, I wanted to understand what and exactly where the damaged panel was located. It was not readily apparent to the naked eye. I was not about to authorize any more work without fully researching and understanding its necessity, and without consulting professional sources as to its veracity. What I eventually received from Robert was a text message with a brief description of work and an estimated price, however, it provided none of the detail I asked for. When I pressed for more information, I heard nothing more from Robert. Feeling compelled to pursue this matter, and knowing that my knowledge is extremely limited when it comes to electrical matters, I employed the assistance of a relative who has been a highly respected custom home builder in Santa Fe for almost 50 years. After inspecting my electrical box and the limited information provided by Robert, he was unable to find anything out of place that required attention. To substantiate that, he sent one of his trusted electricians out to completely survey the situation, and I was told the exact same thing by this electrical professional. In fact, I was also told that I never needed to do the original upgrade to replace the breakers because my electrical box was never out of code in the first place. Finally, in early August (2026), I needed to have an outdoor electrical outlet upgraded. TLC sent two electricians out to dig a trench and run a conduit from an existing working outlet to the outlet in question. They informed me that the possibility of injuring an irrigation line existed, but they would inform me if that happened. On week after the work was completed, I noticed that the area where the work was done was very wet. They had broken an irrigation line and never informed me. I had to hire an irrigation specialist to come out to replace the line. Truth be told, I would never have used TLC for that job if I had known what I know now about my electrical upgrade. A call to the company regarding this matter has gone unaddressed. I have made many mistakes by reusing and trusting the integrity and honesty of TLC. $4500 was a big price to pay to learn that you cannot always trust the professionals. It is my hope that this review will spare someone else that hard-learned lesson. read more

We made two dates with TLC for full service and inspection on our HVAC system that has not been serviced in at least 6 years. At the first appointment we were called and informed that the service tech couldn't get a helper to assist with a 30 plus foot ladder. For safety first, I said we would reschedule. At the appropriate time on our second appointment they were a no-show, no calls, nothing. I telephoned and was told they would notify the service tech that I called. Then...nothing. No follow up call, no re-schedule. I would not be distressed except for the fact that my wife is a cancer patient here in Santa Fe with treatments or tests 4 times a week. It was very difficult to get one, much less 2 days, where I could wait for a tech. My lesson from this: those businesses that do not respect or value my time, or yours, do not deserve our business. And the cherry on top: the first thing that was asked for in booking the failed appointment was a credit card number. read more

Marco came out the day after we called and was able to figure out our shower valve had a bad cartridge and fix it the next day. It was simpler and less expensive than we feared, (and our dogs loved him!) We had tried to repair a leak ourselves but had bought what was either a defective or counterfeit part off Amazon, so of course it didn't work. Marco immediately saw the problem and got us an authentic Kohler part from a reliable local source and had our shower working again in 24 hours. Thanks so much! read more

We had a plumbing disaster that needed immediate attention, and we knew TLC would be able to help. Felicia answered our call and was very helpful arranging a visit from the first available team. Casey and Dominic were soon on the scene, and they were so professional and kind and reassuring. Casey explained what he thought the issue was, and he was right. They were able to get us a short-term solution a then called in colleagues from the ABQ office who had a pump truck and could come that day to get us set up for a longer-term solution. That technician (Julian) was also very helpful and professional -- as was the dispatch person in ABQ (Laura). Overall, we received excellent service from a knowledgeable team, and we will be calling again for any future needs. Big thanks to all! read more

They never returned my phone call. Left with their answering service. Is this the way they run their business.

We had problems with getting our in-floor heating system to turn on and heat up our house. I call TLC, plumbing and utility, here in Santa Fe, New Mexico and left a message and the dispatcher called me back very promptly. Two hours later I had plumber Miguel Bustos of TLC come and analyze the problem. It turned out that our four zone on /off valves were stuck with years of accumulated dirt and we're no longer operational. Miguel Bustos and Joey Leyba fix the problem completely, explaining to me everything he was doing, and the reason that the system had failed. At all times, these two were professional, courteous, friendly, and informational . I would recommend TLC to anyone, and specifically Miguel Bustos, and Joey Leyba further extremely professional work and demeanor!!!!!! I am extremely satisfied customer!!!! Len Magnus read more

I thought it was just that my pilot light on HW heater went out, but there was some water leakage too. Turns out, there was a crack, water leaking and THAT was putting out the pilot light. Marco from TLC rapidly diagnosed that I needed to replace my HW heater, got the estimate to me, and ordered needed materials. Marco applied the senior discount as I requested without needing a reminder. The morning after materials were delivered to TLC, Marco returned along with Alec to get the install completed. Both Marco and Alec were a pleasure to have help me. They appear to have done a great job with the installation, and reviewed use and warranty information before heading home for the day. I am very happy with the service provided by Marco and Alec, and am SO happy to have hot water again! read more

Highly recommended. They have ben servicing my HVAC system for years. Always on time, knowledgable and efficient. Easy scheduling with Nichole at the office. This last week Fernando J. replaced my aging hot water heater. Informative at every step, quality installation, perfect clean up at the end of the job. They may not be the least expensive option in town but I have always been satisfied with the different technicians, products and service. Thank you! read more

Phenomenal Service. We just purchased a home and moved to Santa Fe, NM. We talked with another HVAC company at the time of purchase. But TLC was far beyond other HVAC companies I have used over the years. They were timely, courteous, professional, extremely knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and most importantly... honest. They did not try to sell me on things not needed. Because of this, I will use them over and over and recommend them to others. It's rare. The technician who came to my house was Tim N. He was extremely knowledgeable, honest, frank, and had more background than I have encountered by other people in this field. Ask for Tim by name. You won't regret it. It was a very positive experience. TLC is tops in the field for me and has my highest recommendation. read more

These guys absolutely suck! Do not call them. We had an issue with our boiler. They sent two guys out that did not listen to what the problem was. They fiddle around for 20 minutes. Then they just called the tech support for the boile. The guy told them what it was. They told me verbatim what the tech support guy said. Charged me $175. They said they would get me a cost for the part and the labor to fix it. That was 4 days ago. We have called them every day. The keep promising but nothing happens. They wanted more than a brand new boiler would cost to fix it. Watch your wallet, if you call these guys! Once upon a time you paid someone when the actually did something, these guys did nothing and still expected $175 read more

They were the best. They came over and checked out my mini split and reset the breaker. This got it working. Then, they went to the radiant heating system and moved some gadget and that too started working. I wish I could remember the names of the two guys that came by because they were service oriented and customer friendly. Both were very nice guys and really helped me out. All at no charge!!! read more

I reached out to TLC for an estimate on changing from a swamp cooler to a mini split. The estimator was early to our appointment and was very knowledgeable and cordial. When I received the quote it was $30,000! I asked for a detailed estimate (I have 26 years in Engineering and construction) as I began my career as an estimator and "know the game". The response I got was " I am unable to provide a detailed breakdown of your estimate. TLC doesn't offer a breakdown of their pricing as it's listed in red letters at the bottom of the quote." I'm throwing a bs flag on the field. I know for a fact they provide detailed quotes to many of their high end clients. My recommendation, only call TLC if you are in a last minute pinch and enjoy being ripped off. read more

Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen! They came in with a proposal - did half the work then tried to bill us for twice the proposal rate. I requested service for a clogged drain. They did succeed in clearing my kitchen drain of the clog after one and a half hours. They sent 2 men to do a small job. The drain was unclogged after about 15 min. The trouble started when they went to put everything back together. Suddenly they were cutting pipes and adding stuff and finally, they went to get more materials. In the end, I was charged for 2 hours and materials. Never once during the process did they explain what they were doing or why unless I persistently asked. So I got my drain unclogged for $424.00 If you think that is fair then you live in a different world. I can't say they caused the damage to my pipes but they were inefficient and it was unclear why both of them had to go get the part and why it needed to be replaced in the first place. Terrible work. read more

We had a different local plumber come and video our vent and drains, and they gave us a diagnosis of a major issue with our pipes. Before we jumped into a major repair, a friend gave us a referral to TLC for a second opinion. We're so glad we called TLC. TLC came and took a new video, found a clog in our vent that the first company didn't find, and fixed the problem within an hour. Instead of a potential $25,000 repair, we spent less than $700. They were professional, meticulously clean, communicative, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend TLC. read more

We just had Rick Baker from TLC come out to assist with an issue with our hot water baseboard heaters. He was prompt, professional, and thorough. He saw what the problem was and fixed it immediately. Heaters are working great now and I am so glad that we decided to go with TLC. read more

If you're in need of a super competent and professional team to install or repair your HVAC and plumbing gear. Call TLC Plumbing. Twas the eve before Christmas eve and my house was freezing... I had called another company to determine what was wrong with my HVAC system and all they did was spend 9 hours, without a plan and lots of expense. I then called TLC Plumbing at a recommendation of one of my property management experts. I am wishing Rick B., Eddy and Rick a very Merry Christmas and a Stellar New Year. Thank you for your 24 hour turnaround to replace my Navien Boiler/Hot Water Heater unit. Your team was super responsive, professional and performed the work required to get my cold winter home warm again. Highly recommend. THANK YOU! read more

We appreciate the service we have received from TLC over the years, and acknowledge Thomas as a very skilled technician. read more

TLC really came through, replacing a leaking water heater on a ridiculously snowy day in Santa Fe (11/7/24). Had a client who required a shutoff valve installed to cut the gas feeding into the house and the only gas appliance, the stovetop. It is simple, any idiot can see that in the utility closet - a) gas line enters into house, b) splits to the water heater and c) the line going into the house. Shutoff valve on the line going to the water heater, a capped valve on the line going into the house. Photos taken - arrows and descriptions added pointing things out to explain - printed. Fail proof... or so one would think... TLC arrives... appears tech makes excuses, don't want to mess with anything in the utility closet - despite the fact that even an idiot can see where the lines are going. Instead, talks the home owner into replacing the existing valve in the cabinet under the stove top. Not necessary, already a valve there!!! $271 later - another scam job well done by TLC. -- The lesson is, especially in Santa Fe - always question what these clowns tell you. Service personnel in this area seem to have spent more time on how to scam clients than actually learning their trade. read more

The lead electrician Robert was exceptional in every way- prompt, courteous, respectful; very knowledgeable, thorough, and meticulous. He gave me an itemized quote in advance, and despite the solid eight hour day they put in (and another 4-5 hours from Robert only a few days before), the quality was consistent to the end. Robert reviewed each item with me before they left. He got along well with his team, Chris and Nick, who were also very good. They did a large number of things for me, big and small. I have used TLC for the last 25 years for plumbing issues as well as turning swamp Cooler and heat on and off. Three members of my family also use TLC. On November 13th I had my heat turned on. The technician did as was required, set the thermostat for 69 degrees and left. Never checked thermostat further. A day later I tried to raise temperature and couldn't. I called TLC and operator told me she would have technicians call me. They never did. I called again and was told someone would come out on Tuesday between 8am and 5pm. They would not give a 4 hour window as they usually did.this was on Friday. I called back on Monday after having no heat all weekend because thermostat shut down. I was told if I wanted to pay $200.00 they would come out that day. The operator was rude and said I don't want to argue with you. If you don't want to pay we'll see you on Tuesday". She then hung phone up on me. This is no way to treat a long time customer and you can be sure neither I nor my family and friends will be using them again. The problem was solved by another company who only charged for a service call and it was a matter of a small adjustment. TLC has gotten too big for its britches. I paid $170.00 the least they could have done was follow-up. read more

From the initial consultation with Riley from TLC our confidence was renewed by his professionalism and attention to details, even noticing how our house swamp cooler was not running very cool, suggesting we change out the pads which helped immensely. The Big! team job they did a few days ago to install a roof top evaporative cooler and install the necessary electrical connections from the attic to roof to the thermostat control which Dakota kindly recommended and installed was amazing! Their team flowed in and out, about 6 technicians and managers came through to check and get us cool.
